2025 MLB All-Star Game odds, picks and predictions
The American League and the National League meet in the 95th Major League Baseball All-Star Game Tuesday at Truist Park in Atlanta. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's MLB odds around the American League vs. National League odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets. All-time series: AL leads 48-44-2 After the NL picked up a 3-2 win at T-Mobile Park in Seattle in 2023, snapping a 9-game skid in the midsummer classic, the AL restored order last season with a 5-3 victory at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, as Boston Red Sox OF Jarren Duran earned Most Valuable Player (MVP) honors. Despite the loss in 2023, the AL has posted a dominant 22-4-1 record in the previous 27 All-Star Games since 1997. This is the first All-Star Game at Truist Park, but it's the third time the city of Atlanta has hosted. In 1972, the All-Stars clashed at Atlanta Stadium, later referred to as Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. The NL won 4-3 in 10 innings in that game, with Cincinnati's Joe Morgan hitting a walk-off RBI single and winning the MVP award. In 2000, the AL won 6-3 at Turner Field as Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees took home the MVP trophy. 2025 MLB All-Star Game projected starters AL: LHP Tarik Skubal vs. NL: RHP Paul Skenes Skubal (10-3, 2.23 ERA) makes his first All-Star start and second appearance. The southpaw has a 0.83 WHIP, 1.2 BB/9, 11.4 K/9 -- all MLB-bests -- in 19 games (121 innings) this season. Skenes (4-8, MLB-best 2.01 ERA) makes his second straight All-Star start and second appearance. The right-hander has a 0.93 WHIP, 2.2 BB/9, 9.7 K/9 in 20 games (also 121 innings). Lines last updated at 3:30 a.m. ET. 2025 MLB All-Star Game picks and predictions AL 3, NL 2 Moneyline The AL (-115) is worth playing lightly as it has just dominated the All-Star Game in each of the past 3 decades. While this game is in Atlanta, the AL won't be fazed. The AL has the MLB leader in homers (38) and the 2025 Home Run Derby champion in Seattle C Cal Raleigh batting cleanup, just behind New York Yankees OF Aaron Judge (35 HRs). The NL has a crazy lineup, too, but it will have a ton of trouble against the southpaw Skubal and a stacked AL pitching staff, which includes Boston Red Sox LHP Garrett Crochet (2.23 ERA). He leads Skubal by percentage points for the AL's top ERA. The staff also includes Texas Rangers RHP Jacob deGrom, who owns the fourth-best ERA in the majors at 2.32. Toss in Houston Astros RHP Hunter Brown (2.43), New York Yankees LHP Max Fried (2.43) and Kansas City Royals LHP Kris Bubic (2.48), and the runs will be at a premium for the Senior Circuit. Run line/Against the spread This should be a tight game, and NL +1.5 (-190) is just a little too expensive as you must risk almost 2 times the potential return. AVOID ... and just play the moneyline. Over/Under UNDER 7 (+100) is worth a look at even-money. Again, the AL pitching staff is stacked, but the NL pitching staff isn't too shabby, either. The Over cashed by a half-run in the 2024 game in Texas, but the Under is 4-1 in the past 5 All-Star Games. In the past 8 ASGs, we have had 7 or fewer combined runs in 7 of the past 8 meetings. Knicks' 2024 1st round pick dodges serious Summer League injury
The New York Knicks received good news on the injury status of last year's first-round draft choice, Pacome Dadiet. According to the New York Post's Stefan Bondy, his big toe injury is 'nothing major,' and he has no structural damage to the toe. He finished with seven points and six rebounds in 19 minutes of action as New York lost their second consecutive Summer League game 81-94. Advertisement The latest update is a huge sigh of relief for the Knicks, as he has the potential to crack a spot in their rotation next season. The first-round pick out of France showed a lot of promise in limited action last season as a versatile wing. Dadiet could be an impactful piece next season Dadiet put in a strong showing in his first Summer League game on Friday against the Detroit Pistons. With new head coach Mike Brown and other members of the Knicks brass in attendance, Dadiet scored 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting in a losing effort against Detroit. Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images The Knicks could end up using Dadiet next season as a backup wing to OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges. The 19-year-old is still very much a raw prospect, so Summer League will be useful for his development as an NBA player. Advertisement The relief is that his injury is not major, though it is unclear if the Knicks will shut him down for the remainder of Summer League or not. More will be known by their next game, which is set for Tuesday at 6 PM EST against the Brooklyn Nets. Related Headlines
