Peter Andre's furious Katie Price statement in full as he rejects olive branch offer

Peter Andre has issued a statement on social media this evening, just hours after his ex-wife Katie Price proposed a ceasefire to their 16-year-long feud on her podcast It doesn't look like former couple Peter Andre and Katie Price will be reminiscing over old times any time soon as their bitter feud reaches new heights. ‌ This evening, just hours on from Katie offering her ex-husband an olive branch by proposing a ceasefire to their years-long back and forths, Peter issued a bombshell statement on social media making it quite clear he has no intention of sitting down to chat with his former spouse. ‌ Katie had reached out to Peter via her podcast following the row over her daughter Princess Andre's new ITV documentary programme. The mum-of-five, 47, put forward the idea that she and Peter, 52, should have a face-to-face discussion following the 16-year-long dispute. ‌ The two stars, who are parents to Junior and Princess Andre. Katie and Peter haven't communicated since their divorce, after their marriage collapsed in 2009. Peter went on to marry Emily Andre and welcome two more children into the world. Taking to his Instagram Stories tonight, Peter made it very clear he has no desire to catch up with his ex-wife as he shared a damning statement - making a number of new claims regarding the custody of the two children they share together. Peter's statement in full reads: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children. "In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today. Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." ‌ In the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast released today, Katie proposed a truce in the wake of the controversy surrounding their daughter Princess' ITV documentary series. Tensions seemed to escalate recently when Katie expressed her disappointment on her podcast about not being included in the filming of The Princess Diaries, as the 18 year old's career soars. Just last week, Katie revealed she was "very very upset" claiming she had been excluded from her daughter's latest career achievements and insisted she had begged to participate in the TV series but was denied. ‌ Following the backlash from her remarks, where she faced allegations of jealousy and attention-seeking, the former Page 3 star has once again spoken out, asserting she only wants to be there to support her teenage daughter. Speaking on her podcast today, Katie proposed a face-to-face discussion with Peter and her former management The CAN Group, stating: "I feel like I've missed out on so much and it's so not fair to bring Princess as piggy in the middle so I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it. Life would be such more at peace." She also expressed wishes for herself and Peter to back their children together. Katie proposed: "There's no reason why both parents can't be there to support her." Katie went on to add: "I have to clarify this; I don't care that I'm not in Princess' show I don't need to raise my profile by being in Princess' show I do enough stuff. I'm in the press every day. All what I want to do is just whatever my daughter does – and it's the same with Junior – I don't care if I'm in the background, but I wanna watch her photoshoots, I wanna watch her do her signings – because that's what I did and my mum and you [sister Sophie Price] and nan used to come along and support and I'm proud of her and I just wanna be there with her." "I'm not saying I have to stand with them and play happy families. I've missed out so much with Princess. I haven't watched the show but people have told me how proud I should be of the kids and how they, Princess, does talk highly of me all the way through it. So although I'm not in the show she speaks about me all the time which is really sweet."

Peter Andre hits back at Katie Price: Star reveals their children have been in HIS care since 2018 'for their safety' - as he airs frustration over staying silent on ex-wife's 'baseless lies' for 16 years

Peter Andre has hit back at his ex-wife Katie Price due to her 'baseless lies' over the last 16 years. The singer, 52, spoke out just hours after Katie, 47, urged him to take part in peace talks as their daughter Princess has been 'unfairly' dragged into their feud. Rumours of a 'rift' between Katie and Princess have been growing in recent weeks after Katie didn't attend Princess' 18th birthday party, or appear on the nepo baby 's fly-on-the-wall ITV television series. Katie, who shares Princess, 18, and son Junior, 20, with ex-husband Peter, later claimed that it was her daughter's management who had told her not to appear on the show. In a lengthy Instagram statement, Peter has now shared his side of the story, explaining: 'For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. 'The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangeemnts compel me to se the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. 'In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.' He continued: 'In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today. 'Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.' Daily Mail has contacted Katie's representatives for comment. It comes after Katie called on Peter to sit down with her and 'squash their beef' for the sake of their family. Speaking on the latest on the latest episode of her Katie Price Show podcast, Katie - who is currently recovering from more facial surgery - shared: 'There's no reason why both parents just can't be there to support her.' She continued: 'Now this isn't about me. I have to clarify this. I don't care that I'm not in Princess's show. 'I don't need to raise my profile by being on Princess's show, I do enough stuff. 'All what I want to do, is just whatever my daughter does, and it's the same with Junior, I don't care if I'm in the background, but I want to watch her do her photo shoots, I wanna watch her do her signings, because that's what I did. 'And my mom and you and Nan used to come along and support, and I'm proud of her. And I just wanna be there with her because I now I feel that I've missed out on so much.' Katie went on: 'It's so not fair to bring Princess piggy in the middle. 'So I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it. 'Life would be more at peace because I don't have a problem. I just think life would be a better place. 'Well, I'm not saying we all have to be best buddies, best friends, but come on. For the sake of the children, there's room for everyone to support your kids. Do you know what I mean? 'I'm not saying I have to stand with them and play happy families.' Elsewhere in the chat, Katie's sister Sophie urged her niece to push for Katie's inclusion on the show. Sophie mused: 'Ultimately I do think it's down to Princess to put her foot down a bit'. But Katie shot back and said Princess will be 'scared' to speak up to her management about what she really wants. She said: 'But, she'll be scared Soph. What you got to remember is when I started my career, I didn't have people like the management and all that around me. I used to get the train, go on castings, I put the graft in.' For a time, Katie and Pete were the golden couple of reality TV, with a lavish wedding and a string of big-money deals making them one of the most talked-about pairs in Britain. But things turned sour between the pair when their marriage came to an end in 2009 after four years together, with Katie claiming it was Peter's decision to walk away from the relationship. Much of the nation has witnessed the fall-out of the end Katie and Peter's marriage, and the string of public swipes that have been thrown from both sides. Princess opened up about the impact of her parents' tumultuous divorce in her new ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries, sharing she felt she couldn't 'go to her dad' after he split from Katie due to their dislike of one another. She revealed on the show how she has a counsellor and previously 'couldn't just go to my dad' due to her parents 'not liking each other'. As Princess' show has aired, Katie has been recovering from yet more facial surgery. During her time at a Turkish clinic, Katie underwent a lip lift correction, brow lift, and eye lift, and was seen bloodied and bandaged as she stepped out this week while recovering from the procedures. Katie is no stranger to going under the knife, having had at least 16 boob jobs, three rhinoplasties and six facelifts. The Real Husbands of Katie Price In the decades since she first rose to fame, Katie Price has enjoyed – and quite likely endured – a decidedly busy love life that has seen her walk down the aisle three times before heading to divorce court in equal measure. Here's a look at the trio with whom she exchanged 'I dos'... and 'I don'ts': PETER ANDRE (2005 - 2009) The nation got to watch love blossom between the pair when they starred alongside one another on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here back in 2004. The flying sparks soon became nuptials, with blushing bride Katie and her erstwhile pop hunk beau tying the knot at Highclere Castle (the grand Berkshire estate of Downton Abbey fame) in September 2005. Katie, who was already mother to son Harvey (born in 2002 following a romance with former footballer Dwight Yorke), soon started a family with her new husband. The couple welcomed son Junior in 2005, while daughter Princess followed in 2007. Creation between the pair also came artistically, with the release of reality programmes, a failed talk show and a foray into the music world. However, after four years of securing their position as the Ken and Barbie of reality TV and glossy magazine deals, the pair announced in 2009 that they were going their separate ways. ALEX REID (2010 - 2012) Katie soon switched her romantic allegiance from a onetime ab-bearing pop heartthrob to musclebound MMA fighter Alex Reid. The two met at Michelle Heaton's 30th birthday party at London's Cafe de Paris. But shortly after they got together, Katie dumped Alex on live TV, only for him to win her back and the pair go from strength to strength. Weeks after proudly cheering her man on to a win on the 2010 edition of Celebrity Big Brother (also featuring none other than her ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers), Katie jetted off to Las Vegas to tie the knot with her new partner in February 2010 after just seven months of dating – and nine months after divorcing Peter. Following their Sin City sojourn, the pair returned to their native UK, where they had a formal ceremony – which was filmed for a TV series. However, after just 11 months of marriage, the pair announced they were splitting and their divorce was finalised in March 2012. While Katie declared at the time that she married Alex 'too soon', she would later go on to reveal that a major factor in their split was his cross-dressing alter-ego Roxanne. KIERAN HAYLER (2013 - 2021) Showing herself to be a true woman of the times, Katie embarked on a romance with former stripper Kieran after the two met on the now-defunct Blackberry Messenger service in 2012. And just two months after altering the paths of their lives via those thumb-tapped fateful opening messages, the twosome would go on to exchange nuptials in the Caribbean. Kieran proposed to a thrilled Katie on Christmas Day 2012, and just three weeks later, the pair would be pronounced husband and wife in the idyllic shores of the Bahamas on January 16, 2013. They had their marriage blessed in Weston-super Mare, and in the months that followed, it appeared that Katie had finally found her happily ever after. They welcomed son Jett in August 2013, and daughter Bunny in August 2014. But Katie's world came crashing down in 2014, when she discovered that Kieran had cheated on her with her close friend of 20 years, Jane Pountney, and was enjoying a fling with another of her pals, Chrissy Thomas. After publicly lashing out at all parties involved (and naming her pet pigs after her friends-turned-foes), Katie appeared determined to make things work when she renewed her vows with Kieran in 2015. But alas, it would not turn out to be third time lucky for Katie, as the pair split in 2018 amid even more cheating allegations. Their 'amicable' divorce was finalised in early 2021.

Narinder Kaur criticises BBC's decision to have Thomas Skinner on Strictly

It comes after Skinner met US vice president JD Vance for a barbecue and drinks, with the 34-year-old – who befriended US President Donald Trump's number two on social media platform X – describing the event as 'once in a lifetime'. In the caption of a video posted to X, Jeremy Vine panellist and former Big Brother star Kaur, 52, said: 'Apparently I was deemed too controversial for @bbcstrictly because they only hire quiet brown and black women that fit in a box. 'But you can be a white man AND be controversial and you'll be hired on the spot! Hello Thomas Skinner!!' In a statement, she added: 'There's only so much you can say in a short video, but I felt something many others have been feeling all day and that was complete shock and utter bewilderment – to see Thomas be announced in the line-up, considering all the rhetoric about how people with right-wing opinions are cancelled and not allowed on the BBC. 'I've debated Tom on Good Morning Britain before, I supported his book release at his launch party, there is a huge disparity in what certain demographics of people are allowed to say and still get one show after another. 'I met the Strictly team at the TV Choice Awards earlier this year and got talking to one of the bookers about the show generally – and she said 'You're a bit too controversial and we can't have that for the show.'' Social media personality Skinner has been announced as one of the latest celebrities to be taking part in the upcoming series of BBC One show Strictly. A post shared by BBC Strictly (@bbcstrictly) He recently claimed he had received 'death threats' and 'vile comments about my children', following a series of social media posts claiming 'something's gone wrong' in the UK, and saying 'there is nothing wrong with being proud of where you're from'. In other posts, which drew criticism from some of his followers, Skinner said it is 'not far-right' to be 'flying your flag and loving your country', and he complained 'it ain't safe out there anymore' in London, saying the city is 'hostile' and 'tense'. Following the post complaining about alleged abuse, Mr Vance replied with a picture of a cartoon character typing on a keyboard and a message that read: 'Hang in there, my friend. Remember that 90 percent of people attacking your family look like this.' After the Strictly announcement, Skinner said in a social media post: 'They say don't read the comments on social media. But I couldn't help myself. I've had absolute pellets all day on my Instagram lost about going on Strictly… Why are some people so angry that don't even know me.' They say don't read the comments on social media. But I couldn't help myself. I've had absolute pellets all day on my instagram lost about going on strictly. Have a look at some of these on Instagram …. Why are some people so angry that don't even know me… — Thomas Skinner ⚒ (@iamtomskinner) August 14, 2025 Among the other celebrity contestants confirmed for Strictly this year are former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison and Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis. They join the likes of podcast host and YouTube star George Clarke, RuPaul's Drag Race UK finalist La Voix, former England rugby player Chris Robshaw, and model and CBBC actress Ellie Goldstein, who is to become the first contestant with Down's syndrome to take part in Strictly's full series. The line-up is completed by Love Island winner Dani Dyer-Bowen, EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston, and former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Strictly, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in September, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas as judges. The BBC has been approached for comment.
