DCEB Secy's removal shocks teachers
As many suspected, S Chandrasekhar, the DCEB secretary, has been removed, and Maddileti, the in-charge MEO of Wanaparthy who allegedly backs the DEO and 'pays' commissions, has been appointed in his place as the new DCEB Secretary.
Adding to the outrage, Maddileti continues to serve as both the in-charge MEO and DCEB secretary, while also functioning as a government headmaster at a high school leaving teachers stunned. Not stopping there, a CMOs officer named Yugandhar, currently on foreign service, was also appointed as an English teacher at Wanaparthy Boys High School by bypassing all rules.
Teachers are shocked that Maddileti has been made DCEB secretary. Shortly after taking charge, news surfaced in the media about financial mismanagement in the purchase of material for Bhavitha centres. The remaining Rs 35 lakh in DCEB funds has drawn the attention of the 'corrupt' officials.
Attempts were made to get a statement from the DEO regarding the controversy, but the phone was not answered despite multiple calls.
People are shocked that the DEO operates as if there are no rules in the education wing—only corruption. Meanwhile, several long-standing officials such as open school coordinator Ravinder Reddy, district science officer Srinivasulu, and SGF secretary Surender Reddy have been kept in their posts without any transfers, while only the DCEB secretary was removed.
Information has emerged that the DEO, along with the GCDO and FAO, tried to siphon off leftover Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya funds. This may be the reason for the vindictive actions taken. Recently, based on reports that books and notebooks were being sold at Delhi World School, Narayana School, Sri Chaitanya School, here, rooms were sealed in front of everyone under the MEO's supervision. However, it's an open secret that those material was later moved with help from the MEO after taking commissions from the school managements.
Additionally, when newspapers reported that a private Navodaya coaching centre lacked basic facilities, an inquiry was claimed to have been made, but commissions were allegedly taken and no action was actually taken.

Thousands Of Doctors, Engineers, MBAs Queue Up For Government Jobs In Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, 4,811 MBBS doctors, 86,000 engineers, and 18,800 MBAs are among more than 25 lakh registered job-seekers hoping for government employment. But in official records, they are no longer "unemployed." The state now calls them "Aakanshi Yuva", or aspirational youth. The startling figures emerged during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Assembly when Congress MLA and former Home Minister Bala Bachchan sought details of job-seeking youth across qualifications - from Class 10 pass-outs to postgraduates and professionals. Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment Gautam Tetwal revealed that as of June 30, 2025, 25,68,321 applicants are registered on the MP Rojgar Portal, with graduates forming the largest group at 8.3 lakh. Postgraduates number 2.38 lakh, and even highly qualified professionals, including doctors, engineers, and MBAs, are lining up for posts. Gender-wise, the breakdown is almost equal: 13.91 lakh men and 11.76 lakh women. But caste-wise distribution shows that unemployment is the highest among the Other Backward Classes (OBC). Of the over 25 lakh who have registered on the portal seeking jobs, over 10 lakh belong to the OBC category. But the government's own classification has shifted; these applicants are not "unemployed" in its view, but merely "aspirational." Minister Tetwal admitted in response to another MLA, Pratap Grewal, that the term "unemployed" has been replaced with "aspirational youth" in official parlance. The reasoning: a person registering on the portal may already have a job but is seeking "better employment," and hence should not be counted among the unemployed. This semantic shift comes against the backdrop of puzzling swings in joblessness figures. In 2018, Madhya Pradesh reported 26.82 lakh unemployed; the number surged to 33.13 lakh in 2023, only to fall sharply to 25.68 lakh by June 2025. This, despite the fact that 62.75 lakh youth registered on the portal between 2018 and 2025, while lakhs more add to the figure every year. Fluctuations Defy Logic The year-on-year changes in unemployment numbers border on the inexplicable. In 2019, unemployment hit 31.55 lakh, dropped to 24.72 lakh in 2020, rose above 30 lakh in 2021, climbed to 33.13 lakh in 2023, then plunged to 26.18 lakh in 2024. In that same 2024 period, the government claimed to have issued offer letters to just 52,000 youth, raising doubts over how the massive drop was achieved. Adding to the controversy is the 2021 contract awarded to a private company, Yashasvi, to provide jobs to 25,000 youth. Of the 11,680 candidates the company listed as placed, only 4,433 were found genuine in verification. Yet the government paid the firm Rs 4.17 crore, and shockingly, the contract carried no penalty clause for failing to meet targets. Minister Tetwal told NDTV that unemployment has decreased due to industry hiring and outsourcing, and that many registered candidates are already employed but seeking better opportunities. "Some youth keep looking for better employment even after getting employment, and they also register on the portal. That is why we are calling them aspirational youth," he said. The rebranding does not hide the lack of job opportunities in the state, the Congress hit back. Congress leader Bhupendra Gupta said, "The rebranding does little to hide the fact that thousands of degree-holding professionals - from MBBS doctors to MBAs - are still chasing scarce opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, and that volatile numbers, unexplained dips, and lenient private contracts have left the state's employment record under a cloud."

CBI busts fake call centre operating out of Nashik resort, 5 arrested
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently busted a call centre racket, allegedly run by six people in the rented premises of a resort at Igatpuri in Maharashtra's Nashik. The CBI registered a cyber fraud case on August 8 against the six accused, all residents of Mumbai, as well as unknown people and bank officials. The agency arrested five of the accused, identified as Vishal Yadav, Abhay Raj, Sameer, Shebaz and Durgesh. The accused allegedly entered into criminal conspiracy with each other and other unknown people, and committed financial fraud by impersonation and making phishing calls/deceptive calls, from an illegal call centre, posing as Amazon support services call centre. As per the CBI, the accused have been cheating citizens of the US, Canada and other countries and fraudulently obtaining proceeds of crime via gift cards/cryptocurrency. The accused allegedly recruited around 60 operators comprising dialers, verifiers and closers for running the illegal call centre. The investigation conducted by the CBI led to the recovery of 44 laptops, 71 mobile phones, and other incriminating digital evidence. Additionally, it recovered unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 1.20 crore, 500 grams of gold, and seven luxury cars valued at Rs 1 crore. Transactions of approximately 5,000 USDT cryptocurrency (Rs 5 lakh) and 2,000 Canadian dollar worth of gift vouchers (Rs 1.26 lakhs) were detected. During the searches, 62 employees working at the call centre were found to be operating live, and the process of cheating foreign nationals was in progress.

Sena UBT to hold statewide protest tomorrow against ‘corruption' in erstwhile Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government
The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) will stage a statewide protest on Monday over alleged corruption in the erstwhile Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government. The Sena (UBT) has called for a protest at 12 noon on Monday outside all district collector offices, while Uddhav Thackeray himself will lead the central protest at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, joined by senior party leaders. In Mumbai, demonstrations will also be held outside various government offices. In a statement, the Sena (UBT) alleged 'large-scale corruption' in the Shinde government, naming former ministers Sanjay Rathod in a Rs 60-crore scam, Dhananjay Munde in a Rs 1,500-crore procurement irregularity, and Manikrao Kokate in oilseed procurement losses. It also accused then deputy CM and present Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of ignoring multiple complaints of graft. 'Instead of safeguarding public money, ministers are busy filling their own coffers,' the statement said, adding that the protest aimed to 'expose the corrupt and anti-people policies of the state government' and to alert citizens to 'how their money is being looted'. The agitation also comes in the backdrop of NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar's claim on Saturday that he was approached before the Assembly polls by two people offering to 'guarantee' 160 seats in the state. Pawar's remarks followed Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's Delhi press conference accusing the Election Commission of 'irregularities in the voting process' in various state polls and claiming to present 'some evidence' to back his allegations. Pawar called Gandhi's charges 'serious' and demanded a detailed probe. 'We want answers from the Election Commission, not the BJP,' he said. On Sunday, Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut backed Pawar's disclosure, saying the same individuals had approached Uddhav Thackeray before both the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. 'I was present when they met Uddhav Thackeray. They first came during the Lok Sabha elections, and again before the Assembly polls. They told us, 'Give us the 60 to 65 difficult seats, and we will ensure your victory through EVMs.' We told them clearly that we believe in democracy,' Raut said. Speaking about the claims of Pawar, Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray said that he doesn't think that Pawar would be making false claims. Raut added that the offer was rejected both times, during the Lok Sabha campaign when the party was confident of its performance, and later before the Assembly polls. The BJP and its allies have dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. Opposition parties have demanded an independent, high-level investigation.
