Lee Do-hyun discharged from military service: What's next for The Glory actor?
South Korean actor Lee Do-hyun has officially completed his mandatory military service. The 28-year-old was discharged on May 13, after serving for 21 months in the Republic of Korea Air Force, where he contributed as part of the military band. With this, he will now mark his much-awaited return to showbiz.Do-hyun began his military duty on August 14, 2023, stepping away from public life just as his career was reaching a new peak. Yet, his presence on screens didn't wane. Thanks to a string of pre-filmed projects, Lee remained at the centre of attention. His haunting role in the supernatural box office hit 'Exhuma' earned him the Best New Actor (Film) award at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, cementing his status as one of the most promising actors of his generation.
advertisementAlongside Exhuma, the final season of Netflix's Sweet Home and the fantasy series Death's Game continued to fuel his popularity during his enlistment.

With his return now official, Lee's agency, YUEHUA Entertainment Korea, confirmed that the actor has already been flooded with offers — ranging from dramas and films to endorsements and editorial features.Among the most talked-about proposals is a potential lead role in 'Grand Galaxy,' a new fantasy drama by the celebrated screenwriting duo the Hong Sisters (Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran). The series is positioned as a sequel to their 2019 hit 'Hotel Del Luna' — a show that played a crucial part in Lee's early career. He portrayed Go Chung-myung, a stoic royal guard whose tragic romance helped drive the series' emotional arc.In April, YUEHUA confirmed that Lee had received an offer to star in Grand Galaxy, though no official decision has been made. However, fans are hopeful — especially since the project could reunite him with long-time collaborator Go Min-si. Earlier reports had suggested Cha Eun-woo might join the cast, but that no longer seems to be happening. Meanwhile, production details on Grand Galaxy remain tightly under wraps, with casting reportedly still underway.Must Watch

Dolly Parton Shuts The Door On Meghan Markle? Another PR Move Backfires For The Duchess Meghan Markle reportedly faced a major snub after country music legend Dolly Parton declined an invite to appear on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan. Sources claim Parton wanted to protect her wholesome public image and felt Meghan was attempting to 'ride her goodwill' for clout. Journalist Maureen Callahan even joked that Dolly in Meghan's 'fake kitchen' would cause 'spontaneous combustion.' Sunny Deol Gets Real About 'Jaat', Pressure Post-Gadar 2 & Why He STILL Hates Dancing | EXCLUSIVE The film is backed by the well-known production house behind the Pushpa series, marking their first Hindi-language production. The makers have already confirmed that a sequel is on the way. The movie reportedly crossed around Rs 100 crore worldwide. ETimes reviewed the movie: 'Visually, the film holds its own. Thaman S's background score heightens the drama effectively, and the cinematography offers a gritty, lived-in aesthetic. Action sequences, while often overindulgent, are slick and impactful. The dialogues, penned by Saurabh Gupta and Sai Madhav Burra, are over-the-top and theatrical—often more memorable than the scenes themselves. However, narrative pacing becomes a significant issue post-interval. The second half drags, and the film's 153-minute runtime begins to weigh heavily. A forced item number featuring feels unnecessary and only adds to the film's bloated feel.' On the work front, Sunny is gearing up for the release of 'Border 2'.
