If you've been thinking about shopping a new gadget to add to your Samsung collection, this Galaxy tablet is currently on offer in this tech sale, axing its price by £70
Amazon's currently offering a host of deals on an array of products as part of its Tech Deals week, bringing the price tags of covetable, and pricier gadgets down to more affordable costs for a limited time. And this Galaxy tablet is no exception. Reduced by nearly £70, shoppers can currently score Samsung's 2023 A9 tablet for £101.87, a whopping £68.13 less than its normal price. But you may want to act fast, this Amazon offer won't hang around forever.
Amazon is currently offering a hefty discount on a Samsung Galaxy tablet, perfect for chilling at home, commuting or travelling, and promising 'immersive entertainment'. The stylish Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Android Tablet, boasting a generous 128GB storage, comes in three sleek colours: graphite, silver and navy.
Originally priced at £219, Android enthusiasts can now grab the A9 tablet for a whopping 40% less thanks to this limited-time deal. This family-friendly device features a vibrant 8.7-inch screen, speedy processor, ample 64GB of storage and long-lasting battery life. It also offers full parental controls for child safety, USB-C charging and the standard front and rear-facing cameras for capturing those precious family moments.
The gadget boasts a large screen that provides a clear, bright display, even when used outdoors. The screen can be divided into two sections for efficient multitasking, allowing you to video chat, scroll through social media, check emails, sketch and more all at once, with two apps open simultaneously.
Samsung asserts that the tablet delivers an 'enveloping soundscape' thanks to the Galaxy Tab A9's speakers, which offer 'remarkable clarity and depth' for your movie, music and gaming enjoyment. It features up to 8GB RAM to ensure smooth multitasking and comes with built-in 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 1TB, enabling you to store numerous high-resolution files without the need to constantly delete others.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Android Tablet is a smash hit with an impressive 4.5 out of five rating, backed by more than 650 reviews on Amazon. And it's not only tech-savvy adults who are benefiting from this affordable tech, as kids seem to love it too.
Delighted buyers are voicing their satisfaction high and loud. A particularly pleased customer bestowed a five-star review, sharing: "Large enough memory, excellent screen size. Was bought to replace an actual iPad as it is a fraction of the cost, so superb value. I like Samsung products and this didn't let me down."
They went on to rave: "It's fast with no lag, the battery so far seems to last for hours and hours, even with the kids leaving a million apps open in the background. The picture is clear. It's top-notch performance, especially for the price tag."
Another buyer echoed these sentiments, ecstatically noting: "Bought two for my youngest children for Christmas and they are brilliant. No lag, run fast and most of all easy to set up and link to my account. Sound quality is amazing, loads of storage for apps, and a good size screen. Very easy to navigate for both children and adults. Really impressed for the price. If you want something that runs smooth and efficiently, this is the tablet!"
"This Samsung Galaxy Tab is a very good device," gushed one thrilled shopper. "Loads fast, very clear screen, fast functionality. And above all, not very expensive. Fits in small bags to be carried wherever you go."
However, another purchaser was left unsatisfied, airing their grievances by saying: "Sadly the battery life is appalling. Three or four days from full to empty whilst on standby. I only use a few apps so this is really disappointing."
Meanwhile, this satisfied customer raved about their experience: " Love it, compact and lightweight. Bought for my recent travels, downloaded music and various apps, easy to set up and navigate. I am not very tech savvy, so this helped enormously. Very sturdy."
You can grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Android Tablet on Amazon for £101.87 while this offer lasts. For those looking at other options, Very is currently offering the sleek iPad mini (7th Gen, A17 Pro, 2024), a highly-coveted gadget with a 128GB capacity and an 8.3-inch display, for £499.
And if your budget is a bit more modest, Currys PC World has got you covered with a sweet deal. They've knocked £70 off the price of the LENOVO M9 9" Tablet 64 GB, bringing its price all the way down to £79.

BaByliss hair straightener that works 'just as well as ghd' drops from £90 to £30
'My wife was absolutely delighted with the BaByliss Rose Gold Styler—a true game changer in her daily beauty routine.' One applicance that everyone should have in their home is a quality set of hair straighteners. This versatile hair tool can both straighten and curl your hair, letting you have complete control of how you will look that day. However, one of the problems with hair straighteners is products from high quality brands usually come with a pretty hefty price tag. And while you want to buy a set that will last you a good few years, it can be difficult to part with your hard earned money. Thankfully, in a limited time deal, Amazon has slashed the price of well known branded hair straightener, saving shoppers £60. Originally priced at £90, shoppers can now snatch up the BaByliss Rose Gold Hair Straighteners for only £29.99. Bought by over 1,000 shoppers in the last 30 days, these BaByliss hair straighteners are said to deliver users effortless styling. With floating ceramic plates, the device will glide smoothly through your hair to get rid of any kinks without snagging, leaving users with silky, straight hair "every time". Featuring three temperature settings, ranging from 180 to 235 degrees, shoppers will have more control over the amount of heat they are putting onto their hair. Additionally, for those in a rush, this hair straightener is said to be ready to use in just 15 seconds due to its advanced ceramic heating system. Along with a heat-proof mat for added safety, this device will also automatically turn off after an hour to give users added peace of mind. And for those who want sleek, smooth hair anywhere, this device will become your perfect travel companion as it is equipped with a built-in multi-voltage functionality. Another set of straighteners that have been reduced by Amazon are the ghd Gold Hair Straightener & Styler. Normally retailing for £189, shoppers can now snatch the styler for £150.30 in a limited time deal. This styler promises to give users a 'salon smooth finish' as it uses dual-zone technology for a premium performance. Alternatively, Argos is selling the Remington Sapphire Luxe Hair Straightener for £35. Along with a three year warranty, these hair straighteners are said to make your hair two times smoother than standard stylers. As well as a ultra-fast 15 second heat up time, this device comes with five temperatures to choose from. Back to the BaByliss hair straightener, Amazon shoppers have awarded the device a 4.6 star rating. With many shoppers praising its sleek design, one shopper noted that they became a 'game changer' for their wife's beauty routine. One happy shopper said: "BaByliss products never disappointed me. Great hair straightener, does exactly what it supposed to do despite me being too lazy of sectioning in small portions the hair, I do divide my hair in two parts literally (right half and left half). "The hair straightener gets hot quickly, has a long cable which gives you enough mobility, only minus I personally do not love the rose pink colour." Another reviewer added: "My wife was absolutely delighted with the BaByliss Rose Gold Styler—a true game changer in her daily beauty routine. From the moment she unboxed it, she was captivated by its sleek, rose gold design. "The elegant finish not only adds a luxurious touch to her vanity but also makes a striking visual statement. Holding it, she immediately noticed its premium quality and the way it felt balanced and substantial, yet surprisingly lightweight in her hand." However, not everyone was overly impressed by the hair tool, as one shopper noted: "Works fine but quite a basic model. The cord attached to the straightener doesn't swivel so gets caught up quite easily. I'd recommend a more expensive one that has more features." With another three-star reviewer adding: "This straightener works well and has a usefully long lead. The location of the control between the arms is a real pain. Much better on the side." Despite this, a happy shopper added: "Bought these for my partner after her last set finally died after 10 years of use. She has used them everyday since and has loved them, very sleek and easy to store, take very little tome to heat up and leaves her extremely thick curly hair looking extremely straight. She says she would definitely buy these over more expensive brands." While five-star reviewer went on to say: "Bought these to replace a set of GHD straighteners and to be honest they work just as well. Only downside is that the pink heat mat/cover is just a little bit small. However, that's forgivable because the product is good." To buy the BaByliss Rose Gold Hair Straighteners, click HERE. Popular Freeview box receives upgrade that fixes bug wreaking havoc on Netflix, recordings and more
It comes after numerous households were hit by a widespread disruption this week WATCH OUT Popular Freeview box receives upgrade that fixes bug wreaking havoc on Netflix, recordings and more – check yours now Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A POPULAR Freeview box has received a key upgrade which looks set to fix a bug affecting a slew of features. Manhattan released the software update for its T4-R and T4 Freeview boxes. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 A new software update looks set to remove bugs from Manhattan's T4-R and T4 Freeview boxes Credit: Amazon The latest version - 2.06 - will finally fix a long-standing standby mode issue that has affected a number of users. The update, which began rolling out this week, addresses numerous stability issues while fixing compatibility problems with popular streaming apps and improving recording reliability on the T4-R. If you've been using Energy Saver mode as a workaround to avoid the standby problems, you can now safely switch back to Sleep or Smart standby modes without fear of your box becoming unresponsive. The upgrade comes after households were warned of widespread Freeview disruption this week that could make their TVs stop working properly. Viewers may switch on their telly to find a black, pixelated or flickering screen as a result of planned engineering works. Some 87 areas are expected to be affected, according to Freeview. Freeview has urged households that the disruption is only temporary and to not retune their TV. "If you are affected by engineering work, please don't try and retune your TV - reception will be restored as soon as the engineering work is completed," the company said. "Occasionally, routine engineering work is required on transmitters in order to improve terrestrial TV services. "While every effort is made to minimise the impact on viewers, this can cause temporary disruption to reception." Clash of Clans coming to Netflix in new animated TV series If you don't want to miss your favourite TV shows while the work is taking place, Freeview has suggested households check out its online TV guide. The Freeview Channel Checker tells viewers what changes are taking place that may affect their service and viewing. To use it, simply enter your postcode to see what will be affected. If you have a hybrid or smart TV, you can watch uninterrupted TV during the engineering works via the Freeview app or website. While Freeview typically requires an aerial, you can access many Freeview channels and on-demand content through streaming apps like BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and All 4. If you're not sure what transmitter you're predicted to get your signal from, put your postcode into Freeview's Detailed Transmitter Information tool to check.

Best Samsung washing machines: AI tech innovations for your home
Available in dazzling 'Dark Steel' and nothing else, the Bespoke AI Series 9 is a statement piece for the kitchen or fancy pants laundry room should you be so loaded, being both bold in colourway and beautifully minimalist of design, with its moody silver body, Black Deco and glass door, and slick 7-inch LCD touchscreen interface. Even the line of the detergent drawer is unspoilt by anything as tawdry as a handle. Is it weird to attribute such aspects of beauty to an appliance? Absolutely. Do I regret a word of it? Absolutely not. But, moving past the aesthetic, the sultry Series 9 comes rated class 'A-55 per cent' for incredible energy efficiency, features a nicely capacious 9kg drum to cope with the detergent-requiring demands of medium to larger households, and comes imbued with Samsung's AI Home, that aforementioned LCD touchscreen panel that not only allows for quick, intuitive control, but also lets you personalise your wash more by suggesting cycles and remembering your favoured settings, like a golf caddy, but for laundry. Amongst the simply epic 28-strong programme settings sits AI Wash, sensing the weight of the load and the level of soiling, then automatically adjusting temperature, detergent amount, and soaking, rinsing and spinning times to suit. AI Ecobubble is, of course, also available, as is AI Energy Mode with the Wi-Fi linked SmartThings app, then there's all the usual cycle suspects, covering all manner of materials, throwing in Eco cycles, Cold settings, and the complete breadth of programmes found in the Series 5, 6 and 8 models I've already explored, plus two Super Speed functions for the furiously time-poor. Naturally, Auto Dose is present to save you the hassle of having to workout how much detergent and softener you need each wash, as is Drum Clean and a StayClean Drawer to keep the whole shebang sparkling and bacteria-free, and – going above and beyond on tech convenience – if your day has been so soul-sucking that you can't even raise the energy to poke gently at the display, you can just tell it what to do. Yes, it is a Samsung, after all, so it's only right that the Bespoke AI Series 9 WF90F09C4SU1 should come with Bixby 'On Device'. So, simply tell it what you want it to do and Bixby will take your word as its command.
