Joely Richardson, sister of Natasha Richardson, gushes over Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson
Joely Richardson, the sister of Natasha Richardson, who died in 2009, commented on Instagram photos that Anderson shared of herself and Neeson in celebration of the actors' new movie "The Naked Gun."
Several of the playful black-and-white photos show Anderson, 58, and Neeson, 73, goofing around with a popcorn bucket, while the Aug. 1 post's final two images see the costars engage in an impromptu photoshoot with a camera.
Much of the comments section was filled with congratulatory messages complimenting Anderson and Neeson's joint project, as well as their purported new couple status. "I did not have Pam and Liam on my 2025 Bingo card … and I can't even describe the happiness I feel for them ❤️👏💕," @taraphotog wrote.
Richardson joined in on the warm sentiment, commenting with string of red heart emojis: "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."
Neeson was married for 15 years to British actress Natasha Richardson, from 1994 until her death at age 45.
Natasha, best known for her roles in "The Handmaid's Tale" movie, "The Parent Trap" and "Maid in Manhattan," died after a seemingly minor fall while skiing at Quebec's Mont Tremblant. The actress initially waved off medical care, but her head injury turned out to be fatal. She and Neeson shared sons Micheál and Daniel.
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson: Actors spark romance rumors with affectionate red-carpet moment
Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson spark romance rumors on 'Naked Gun' promotional tour
Anderson and Neeson have been at the center of dating speculation as they promote "The Naked Gun," a slapstick detective comedy starring Neeson as LA cop Frank Drebin Jr. and Anderson as his unexpected partner in crime, the femme fatale Beth.
The actors sparked romance rumors at the film's London premiere on July 22. As they posed at the red carpet's step-and-repeat, Anderson leaned up and gave Neeson a smooch on the side of his face. While taking photos with one of the film's producers, Anderson was also seen clasping Neeson's hand around her left hip.
Days later, Anderson and Neeson poked fun at their flirty chemistry in a July 28 interview with "Entertainment Tonight." As Anderson leaned in for a near-kiss from Neeson, an "ET" red-carpet reporter said they were "so close," before Anderson said, "Yeah, so close." Neeson chimed in, "We're pros."
'Are you two an item?': Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson dodge dating rumors on 'Today' show
The following day, Anderson and Neeson were confronted about their affectionate dynamic during a July 29 interview on the "Today" show. Coanchor Craig Melvin bluntly asked the duo if they were dating: "You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?"
While the pair balked at the question, Neeson conceded that he and Anderson "discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry as two actors" during production on "The Naked Gun."
In an Instagram post recapping the film's New York premiere July 29, Anderson's caption included a not-so-cryptic message of her own: "Love is in the air."

Liam Neeson Rips Into His STAR WARS Death Scene: 'Oh, Please. Hardly a Master Jedi' — GeekTyrant
Liam Neeson didn't hold back when recnetly critiquing his own Star Wars legacy. While promoting his upcoming comedy The Naked Gun , Neeson sat down with GQ to reflect on some of his most iconic roles, and when it came time to talk about Star Wars: The Phantom Menace , the actor criticized how his Jedi Master went out. During the video, Neeson looked back on playing Qui-Gon Jinn, and called out what he felt was a lackluster demise at the hands of Darth Maul. Neeson said: 'I'm supposed to be a master Jedi, you know. My character fell for that 'Oh! I'm going for your face! No I'm not. I'm going for your stomach.' [makes death noises] 'Oh, you got me!' Like, oh please. Hardly a master Jedi. But still, [making the film] was great.' To be fair, Qui-Gon's death has always sparked debate among fans. While Maul was undeniably a fearsome and highly trained Sith apprentice, Neeson makes a valid point. A Jedi Master who had easily dispatched battle droids throughout the film probably shouldn't have gone down so quickly. Especially when he was supposed to be one of the Order's most powerful and wise warriors, and crucially, the one meant to guide Anakin Skywalker's future. After The Phantom Menace , Neeson did return to the galaxy far, far away for a brief cameo as Qui-Gon's Force ghost in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi , and also lent his voice to the animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi . His son, Micheál Richardson, even voiced a younger version of Qui-Gon in the show. But as far as doing anything more in the Star Wars universe, Neeson isn't feeling it. 'It's diluting it to me, and it's taken away the mystery and magic in a weird way.' He makes it pretty clear he's not eager to return again. The number of spinoffs and prequels might be chipping away at the specialness that made Star Wars so beloved in the first place. Sure, Maul was a beast in combat, trained by none other than Darth Sidious himself, and Qui-Gon had just come off an exhausting lightsaber duel earlier in the movie. But it still feels like his character deserved more of a legendary send-off. Unlike Obi-Wan's noble sacrifice in A New Hope , Qui-Gon was actively trying to survive and fulfill his purpose. He wasn't giving up — he was taken out. Maybe Neeson's criticism isn't just about his character's death being too easy, but more about how it undermined Qui-Gon's importance and capability. For a Jedi Master who was meant to be pivotal in Anakin's journey, getting stabbed after a simple feint feels like a weak exit. What do you think? Was Qui-Gon Jinn's death scene a letdown or a powerful turning point in the saga?

Why the royal family is reluctant to reconcile with Meghan Markle despite Prince Harry peace talks
The British royal family is extremely reluctant to reconcile with Meghan Markle — despite being open for peace talks with Prince Harry, according to a new report. Just weeks after the Duke of Sussex sent his aides to London to meet with King Charles' communications secretary, it emerged that the core of the royal rift hasn't changed. According to insiders, trust — or lack thereof — remains at the heart of the yearslong family feud — and insiders believe that the 'Suits' alum is to blame. 4 The British royal family is extremely reluctant to reconcile with Meghan Markle, according to a new report. Getty Images 'They just don't trust her,' a source told the Daily Express of the duchess, who is celebrating her 44th birthday Monday. The insider alleged that while the Windsor clan is open to a resolution with the 'Spare' author, the same can't be said for their thoughts on the As Ever founder. Per the report, the future of the family's dynamics may see Harry venture to and from the UK solo — meaning that his wife and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will not join him. The source alleged that the royal family's greatest fear is having any conversation they have with Markle become material for the next money-making venture she throws herself into. 4 According to insiders, lack of trust remains at the heart of the yearslong family feud. Samir Hussein/WireImage The Post has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. It's no secret that the Sussex camp has been embroiled in an ongoing feud with the Windsor clan since quitting royal life in 2020 and moving across the pond. Their royal exit was closely followed by several high-publicity projects such as their six-part Netflix documentary, their bombshell sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, and Harry's protocol-shattering memoir, 'Spare.' 4 The insider alleged that while the Windsor clan is open to a resolution with the 'Spare' author, the same can't be said for their thoughts on Markle. Getty Images In 'Spare,' which became the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time following its release in January 2023, Harry left no stone unturned as he dished on all the family drama within the Firm. Among the many eyebrow-raising revelations, the memoir details Harry's contentious relationships with his father and brother, Prince William, and the problems caused by his marriage to Markle that caused him to shut the door on royal life altogether. They have only returned to the UK a few times since. In the years that followed, the monarch, 76, has kept a stoic silence on top of a 5,459-mile-long distance from his estranged youngest son and his family. However, in recent weeks Harry has noted he's serious about reconciling with his family members by offering to share his diary dates with the royal family to ensure total transparency. 4 The Sussexes shut the door on royal life in 2020 and moved across the pond. Getty Images What's more, the offer has reportedly been extended to the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not spoken to the Sussexes in years. Still, it's said that Charles is 'cautious and wary' of the Invictus Games founder's overdue attempt at gluing the family back together.
