Ammon14-06-2025
Ammon News - Minister of Interior, Mazen Faraya, called on Jordanians to follow the instructions of security agencies amid the escalating tensions in the kingdom's airspace due to the exchange of airstrikes between Iran and the Israeli occupation, stressing that there is no need to panic.
While visiting the King Hussein Bridge on Saturday, Faraya said that Jordan's destiny is to be part of the region, with the Jordanian Armed Forces protecting the Kingdom's borders by land, air, and sea.
The security agencies have instructed citizens on how to deal with any fallout resulting from the exchange of fire, and Jordanian citizens have shown great understanding and cooperation with these instructions, the minister added.
Faraya stressed that there is no need to panic or fear, and that all that is required is to follow the instructions issued successively by the security services, whether through sirens or the guidelines announced by the Public Security Directorate regarding how to handle various situations.

The urgent need for a free nuclear weapons in the Middle East - Jordan News

Today, the Middle East region needs to be free of nuclear weapons in order to avoid any future slip-ups that ignite a global nuclear war, which will be closer than ever as a result of the complications that have occurred in the last two years. اضافة اعلان The world, as well as the Arabs, have recently realized why Israel wanted exclusivity with nuclear weapons in the Middle East Region and with the support of the West, which revealed its colonial and expansionist intentions at the expense of the Middle East countries, especially its neighboring countries, when the radical Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded when he referred to the greater state of Israel and its expansionist colonial intentions. The recent war that Israel launched against Iran with the help of the United States to destroy its nuclear program in order for Israel to remain the only dominant country in the Middle East region that will complete its colonial plan that it has been seeking for decades with Western undeclared nuclear weapon, estimated at 300 nuclear bombs, is capable of destroying all Middle Eastern countries to remain a deterrent to those who stand in the way of its colonial and expansionist plans, not to mention the superiority of its air force with the empowerment of the West. It has turned out that Israel is not afraid of being attacked by any country in the Middle East, as it claims in front of the world media, it retains its nuclear weapons to enable it to expand and occupy neighboring countries. From here, the regional and Arab countries of the Middle East should immediately move in two directions : The first direction is the global pressure for the nuclear disarmament of Israel in conjunction with the disarmament of Iran's nuclear program. The second direction is to take immediate action on the Security Council to apply Chapter VII to Israel, being a colonial state that exterminates and besieges peoples and has become a threat to the lives of the peoples of the Middle East countries, what it has done of killing and starving the people of Gaza, the majority of whom are women and children, attacking Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq and killing innocent civilians, and its indifference to the United Nations charters, human rights and the decisions of the Criminal Court that sentenced its leaders to prison for committing genocide of the Palestinian people, all this will not prevent Israel from starvation and displacement.

US lawmakers urge action against ‘Israel' after Gaza journalist killings

US lawmakers are urging the Trump administration to take a firm stance against 'Israel' over the killing of journalists in Gaza and restrictions on press freedom. A group of 17 Senators, led by Senator Brian Schatz, sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, calling for US pressure on 'Israel' to guarantee the safety of reporters and grant independent media access to the territory. The letter, made public on Wednesday, directly addresses an Israeli strike on August 10 that killed six journalists near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, including prominent Al Jazeera reporter Anas al-Sharif. The lawmakers stated that Israel has "not provided convincing evidence" for its claim that al-Sharif was a member of Hamas. "Absent a compelling explanation of the military objective for this attack, it appears Israel is publicly admitting to targeting and killing journalists who have shown the world the scale of suffering in Gaza, which would be a violation of international law,' the senators wrote. They also said that the continued killing of journalists and the ban on international media entering Gaza independently undermines "US moral leadership and credibility in the region and around the world." The letter urges the State Department to prioritize "journalists' immediate access to Gaza" and to get "guarantees from Israel that the IDF will not target them in its operations." The total number of journalists and media workers killed in Gaza since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023, is now over 238, the letter said. The US State Department has not issued a public statement in response to the letter.

'Israel' declares 63 West Bank archaeological sites as ‘Israeli heritage sites': Reports

A report by a Palestinian non-governmental organization claims that 'Israel' has officially designated 63 archaeological sites in the West Bank as 'Israeli heritage sites.' The report argues that this is part of a broader, systematic policy to confiscate Palestinian land and reshape its cultural identity. According to a report by the Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ) the classification of these sites was formalized through military orders signed by Brig: Gen. Moti Almoz, the head of the 'Israeli' Civil Administration. The report, titled "Archaeological Sites in Nablus Governorate: An Open Arena for Israeli Confiscation Plans," stated that 59 of the sites are in Nablus, three in Ramallah, and one in Salfit. The ARIJ report claims that while such declarations are presented as measures for "protection and preservation," they are in practice used as a pretext to seize vast areas of Palestinian land. The report asserts that many of these areas are later converted for the use of illegal 'Israeli' settlements, military installations, and tourism facilities that primarily benefit 'Israeli' settlers. The controversy highlights a long-standing point of war. For decades, both 'Israeli' and Palestinian authorities have used archaeology to support their respective narratives. Critics of 'Israeli' policy, including human rights organizations like Emek Shaveh and B'Tselem, have consistently accused the 'Israeli' government of using archaeology as a tool to expand settlements and assert control over Palestinian land. A report by Emek Shaveh in July 2024, for example, detailed a military order to seize land at the archaeological site of Sebastia, arguing it was part of a plan to sever the site from the nearby Palestinian village. The ARIJ report also provides broader context, stating that according to Palestinian data, the number of illegal settlers in the West Bank had reached about 770,000 by the end of 2024. This action is also set against the backdrop of an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) last July, which declared 'Israel's' occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
