Kid Cudi and Lola Abecassis Sartore have tied the knot. The couple – who got engaged in 2023 – wed at the Cap Estel in Èze in the South of France, near Lola's hometown, on June 28. Lola told Vogue.com: 'It was intense - but so fun and enjoyable to get to turn our vision into our dream weekend. The team were so supportive of our vision, and they made the process so easy and enjoyable. Wedding planning can get very stressful, but they made sure to turn all our dreams into reality. From choosing the location to building a bounce castle as an homage to our dear friend Virgil Abloh, they made it all so easy. 'A beautiful location, the people we love the most, and simple decor to highlight all of that. The red thread throughout the process was timelessness. 'It was bliss. A moment out of time where the world stopped, and it was just the two of us. We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment.' Kudi – whose real name is Scott Mescudi – and Lola decided to have an homage to late fashion designer Abloh on their big day as they originally met at Abloh's first show for Louis Vuitton in 2018. Lola said: 'I was working behind the scenes, and Scott was walking the runway. Our eyes met in the chaos, and there was a silent spark. After the show, Scott walked straight up and asked for my number.' And, the pair are currently enjoying the early stages of newlywed bliss. Lola said: 'Everyone [we know who had] already gotten married told us it would go fast. We didn't know it would go this quickly [though]. We're on cloud nine in our little bubble of love. It's so overwhelming to receive so much love in such a short amount of time. You want this feeling to never end. It was really the most perfect, flawless, peaceful day, and we want to do it all over again. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.'

Charli XCX and The 1975 drummer George Daniel are married

LONDON (AP) — Charli XCX and The 1975 drummer George Daniel have tied the knot. A representative for Daniel confirmed to The Associated Press that the pair married over the weekend. The couple were seen posing in front of London's Hackney Town Hall on Saturday. Daniel wore a suit, and Charli XCX wore a Vivienne Westwood bridal mini dress, Vogue confirmed. Representatives for Charli XCX did not immediately respond to AP's request for comment. The 'BRAT' pop star posted a video on TikTok while wearing the same bridal minidress. It featured the text 'when george isn't crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,' and a caption, 'luckily he did.' The Grammy-winning Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, is an English singer and songwriter who first made waves in 2012 for writing the synth-pop hit, 'I Love It' for the Swedish duo Icona Pop and in 2014, for her collaboration with rapper Iggy Azalea on 'Fancy.' In the years since, she's continued to innovate, working with the futuristic hyperpop collective PC Music. Most recently, she released the energetic, hedonistic, summer-defining album, 'BRAT.' Daniel is an English musician, record producer and DJ, best known as the drummer and founding member of the popular pop-rock band The 1975. Charli XCX and Daniel announced their engagement on Instagram in 2023. The pair have collaborated a number of times in the past. Daniel is a feature co-producer and co-writer on two 'BRAT' tracks. ___ AP Music Writer Maria Sherman reported from New York.

Look of the Week: Charli XCX is the anti-bride

While evolving bridal fashion trends have made suits, bright colors and shorter hemlines more common, the image of a demure, virgin-like woman in princess gown is still ubiquitous in western culture. But on Saturday, musician Charli XCX proved that going against bridal tradition isn't simply a matter of style, it's an attitude. At an east London townhall, the 'Brat' singer married her boyfriend, The 1975 drummer George Daniel, in an outfit that was faithful to her signature party girl style. An ivory, Vivienne Westwood mini dress — the most traditional element of her bridal get-up — was offset with her trademark blackout bugeye sunglasses, worn everywhere from her most recent Glastonbury Festival performance to out clubbing with friends. She donned a pair of Jimmy Choo Amita 95 court heels, but eschewed a necklace or bracelet, and instead wore just her engagement ring and two small hoops in her ears. Her long black hair was left down, embellished with a mid-length veil. Unfussy, pared-back and distinctly Charli. It didn't take long for photographs of the pair's low-key nuptials to circulate across the internet. On X, images of the newly-weds smoking and drinking orange wine at an outdoor table at popular neighbourhood Italian restaurant Dalla — the familiar acid glow of several parked Lime Bikes (the city's preferred E-bike provider) loomed in the background — spread fast. No one found Charli's anti-bride vibe more endearing than her fellow Londoners: 'Just married, cig & drink in hand, sat in front of lime bikes. The king and queen of east London. Everything is romantic,' read one post on X now liked over 49,000 times. 'Idk (I don't know) how to explain it but I really love when brides get married looking very much like themselves,' added another. In recent years, many celebrities have taken to mining the archives of Old Hollywood for wedding inspiration. Even high-profile brides known for their distinct, rule-breaking style seem to have fallen in line when it comes to walking down the aisle. In 2019, Zoë Kravitz swapped her minimalist, cool-girl edge for an Audrey Hepburn inspired Alexander Wang drop-waist wedding gown. Similarly Paris Hilton, queen of mini skirts, crop tops and Juicy Couture tracksuits, referenced Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly for her dress in 2021. In Charli's case, it's clear the only reference was herself. Westwood has become an unofficial tradition for fashion-forward brides including Demi Lovato, Barbara Palvin, Miley Cyrus and even Carrie Bradshaw — the fictitious 'Sex and the City' fashion-addict and relationships writer — who opted for a Westwood bridal gown to marry Mr Big. Charli's irreverent version, styled more like she's the last man standing at an after-hours party than a traditional blushing bride, harked back to the London label's punk origins. 'People are drawn to Vivienne Westwood because she stands for something,' the brand's creative director, Andreas Kronthaler, told CNN earlier this year. 'She stands for women, and for strength, power and courage.' He continued: 'The Vivienne Westwood bride is a heroine.'
