Mohammad Nabi's 18-Year-Old Son Hits Him For A First-Ball Six In T20 Match
Nabi's 18-year-old son, Hassan Eisakhil, is an opening batter, and he scored 52 runs from 36 balls for Amo Sharks in the Shpageeza Cricket League match on Tuesday.
Mohammad Nabi is arguably the greatest cricketer from Afghanistan. In the last 18 years, the 40-year-old cricketer has played in more than 440 T20 matches for more than 40 teams around the globe. Nabi, who last played a T20I match for Afghanistan in December 2024 against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club, is plying his trade in the Shpageeza Cricket League these days for Mis Ainak Knights, and on Tuesday (July 22), he is in action against Amo Sharks.
During the first half of the match taking place in Kabul, the 40-year-old spin-bowling all-rounder bowled one over for the Rahmanullah Gurbaz-led side and conceded 12 runs. He was introduced to the attack in the ninth over, but on the first ball he got smacked for a big six by his 18-year-old son, Hassan Eisakhil.
The clip of him smacking Nabi for a six was shared on X by fans, and it is now going viral on the internet.

Eisakhil, unlike his father, is a specialist batter and has played a total of 25 T20 matches so far, in which, with the help of four half-centuries, he has amassed a total of 599 runs.
The right-handed batter scored 52 runs from 36 balls for Amo Sharks on Tuesday as well and helped them post a total of 162 runs on the board in 19.4 overs.
In the first two matches of the Shpageeza Cricket League, he scored 6 and 35 runs.
Eisakhil has played for the Afghanistan team in the 2024 U-19 World Cup.
Nabi to play for Afghanistan with Eisakhil
Nabi was set to retire from ODIs after Champions Trophy 2025 but he decided to take a U-turn from his retirement plan. Nabi, while speaking to ICC in February expressed his desire to play for Afghanistan at the highest level with his son Hassan Eisakhil.
'These might not be my last ODIs (the Champions Trophy), and I will probably play less ODIs and give chances to the youngsters to build experience. I've discussed with the senior players, and in the high-level games, maybe or maybe not, we'll see. It will depend on my fitness," Nabi was quoted as saying by ICC.
'It's my dream (to play together for the country), and hopefully we can do it. He (Eisakhil) is doing very well. He is a hard worker, and I'm also pushing him to work," he said.

And, after a memorable comeback in the Manchester Test, they are moving in that direction. Because when you see, when you're put under the pressure, when you're put under the pump and you end up adding five sessions, I think that's a great character. And anything that you do in these conditions, when you're put under pressure and you come out of those pressure moments, it is always a great feeling. 'And it just ends up giving a lot of confidence in the dressing room as well. And I'm sure, I think going into Oval, I think we will be high on confidence, but we can't take anything for granted," he said. Under new captain Gill, the team is going through a transition but Gambhir doesn't see it that way. Considering the inexperience in the side, the squad has done well especially Gill who racked up his fourth hundred of the series on Sunday. 'Good you used that word transition but I don't see it like that because it is still an Indian team. This is the best 18 that is going to represent. It is only experience and inexperience. 'And that is how we see this. But the most important thing is that these guys got to learn a lot from what they did today. 'Because being under pressure, batting five sessions is never easy on day five of the Test against an attack like England. And then coming out with a draw and only losing four wickets…," he said. Manchester, Jul 27 (PTI) Head coach Gautam Gambhir on Sunday said the character and foundation of the current Indian team will be built on the remarkable act of courage from Rishabh Pant, who batted in the first innings of the fourth Test with a broken right foot. Pant added crucial first innings runs for the team despite batting with a fractured foot after missing a reverse sweep off Chris Woakes on day one. He managed to get a half-century, helping India post 358 on day two. Pant was not required to bat in the second innings as Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar guided India to a morale-boosting draw with a century each to keep the series alive. 'Rishabh already, it's been declared that he's out of the series. And one thing I want to say is that the character and the foundation of this team will be built on what Rishabh did for the team and for the country as well," said Gambhir in the post-match media interaction. WATCH: Jadeja, Washington refuse Ben Stokes' draw offer in final-session drama at Old Trafford
Tempers flared between India and England once more in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy as Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar refused England's offer to draw the Test match in the final session of the fourth Test in Manchester on Sunday. With the possibility of a win over, England captain Ben Stokes went up to Jadeja to end the contest. The Indian batters, though, wanted the match to carry on for longer. Jadeja was batting on 90 while Washington, on 84, was on the cusp of a maiden Test century.
