Good Morning Britain's North America reporter Noel Phillips spoke candidly about his troubling situation and admitted his bank had taken no responsibility for $30K, around £22,500, being swiped from his American accounts.
In the States, accountability for cash scams is different, and this means if detectives do not identify the criminals behind the scam, Noel will not get his money back.
Noel, who reports for the UK programme, told how two scammers made a "seemingly harmless phone call" that "turned my life upside down."
He told how the scammers posed as representatives from Chase bank who told him the accounts had been compromised.
He called the number back, and connected to his bank's customer service, but it wasn't genuine.
The scammers then called back and infiltrated his banking app, with Noel getting an alert of a payment he had not made.
He rushed to his local Chase bank branch but was still connected to the scammers on his phone call, and when they told him to make a transaction, he did.
He said: "What I was told was in fact I lie.
"One that was so believable I lost my whole life savings, just under $30K.
"The fraudsters convinced me I needed to transfer my money to separate accounts which they said had my names on it."

Noel then told how the scammers had told him it was in fact staff at the bank who had compromised his details and said: "They then persuaded me that the staff [at the bank] were responsible for the fraud, so therefore I should avoid informing them of what was happening."
After the incident, Noel then told how Chase had told him there was "nothing they could do to help recover" the fund stolen.
In an emotional statement he said: "I am having to pay the cost, literally having to pay the cost for that.

He then admitted how the fraud had happened just a fortnight ago.
He informed presenters Kate Garraway and Ed Balls how, just two weeks ago, he was "still in disbelief, lying here on my kitchen floor numb."
He told how he felt "embarrassed, ashamed and worthless" after being a victim.
The Sun has gone to Chase bank for comment.
DOUBLE BLOW
Noel's situation comes after we exclusively reported how GMB will make a huge show change to its American coverage amid cash cutbacks.
The switch up means for the first time in the show's 11-year history, the flagship breakfast show will have no dedicated team across the pond to cover news Stateside.
The outfit fronted by Noel Phillips, who reports out of New York, but GMB will now likely utilise reports from the main ITN news hub instead.
A source dubbed the move 'a brazen pivot away from journalism.'
SCREEN CAREER
Award-winning journalist Noel has worked at multiple other outlets before he joined ITV.
He began his career working as a presenter and producer on Newstyle radio before moving to ITV's This Morning where he was a runner for five months in 2012.
Noel then has some writing jobs at multiple outlets as well as a public relations gig.
The journalist then moved to the BBC where he took on multiple job roles such as being a news reporter, broadcast journalist and producer.
After more than three years at the BBC, Noel became a news correspondent at Sky News.
He worked in that position for almost two years before going to ITV where he for the job he has now as North America correspondent.

Trump team releasing ‘largely uncensored' Epstein files to Congress in DAYS as fight over ‘missing client list' drags on

The move has been forced by a rare show of defiance from Congress THE EPSTEIN FILES Trump team releasing 'largely uncensored' Epstein files to Congress in DAYS as fight over 'missing client list' drags on TRUMP'S team has agreed to hand over the largely uncensored Epstein files to congress as it tries to bury theories about a missing client list. Busting open the Epstein files was one of Trump's election promises, but since coming to power he has refused and tried to divert attention from the issue. 7 Ghislaine was found guilty of sex trafficking young girls for Epstein to abuse Credit: PA The President has come under intense pressure - including from voices within his own camp - who argue that if there is nothing to hide then the information should be set free. Advertisement Some are convinced the files contain a "client list" which could incriminate public figures - and link this with conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein's suicide. Now, the campaigners have secured a major win with the administration agreeing to turning over most of the material held on the disgraced paedophile financier by the end of the week. The government's hand has been forced by Congress's House Oversight Committee, which this month issued a subpoena for "all documents and communications relating or referring to" Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. This was a rare sign of pushback against the President by Congress. Advertisement Tuesday was set as the initial deadline, but chairman of the committee James Comer announced he would delay it until Friday in recognition of the Justice Department's cooperation. The Republican representative said: 'Officials with the department of justice have informed us that the department will begin to provide Epstein-related records to the oversight committee this week on Friday." 'There are many records in DoJ's custody, and it will take the department time to produce all the records and ensure the identification of victims and any child sexual abuse material are redacted.' Comer added: 'I appreciate the Trump administration's commitment to transparency and efforts to provide the American people with information about this matter.' Advertisement The order, seen by US media, requests that the files are uncensored other than material which could identify Epstein's victims, shows child sex abuse or is otherwise redacted by law. EPSMystery orange figure is seen near Epstein's cell night before his death - as police video expert gives bombshell theory Epstein was in prison awaiting a major trial over sex-trafficking charges after decades of sick activity with minors, facilitated by Ghislaine. He was found hanged in his cell in August 2019, but the case has never shaken off speculation that others were involved in his death. Last month, an FBI probe concluded that Epstein committed suicide, and that the much-hyped "client list" does not exist - but even this did not quell the calls for the files to be released. In an effort to put the speculation to bed, the Justice Department released around 11 hours of CCTV footage from inside the facility where Epstein died, including the point his body was discovered. Advertisement 7 James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, said the Department of Justice is cooperating with the subpoena Credit: Getty Images - Getty But a mysterious "lost minute" was noticed in the video soon after release, when the clock ticked from 11:58:58 straight to midnight - skipping out 62 seconds. Attorney General Pam Bondi explained this was caused by a glitch in the prison's outdated system - and claimed the same minute is missing from footage every night. Then it was revealed that the video was actually made of two clips stitched together - debunking the claim it was the "full raw" file. Further analysis showed that one clip had been trimmed before release - and the data the first clip was actively cut at the 11:58:58 mark. Advertisement The FBI's conclusion that the client list is fictional directly rails against what administration officials have previously said. 7 Prince Andrew was accused of having sex with Virginia Giuffre, then 17, facilitated by Epstein Credit: PA 7 The CCTV footage of Epstein's final hours was in fact missing almost three minutes Credit: US Department of Justice In an interview on Fox News in February, Pam Bondi herself said the client list was "sitting on my desk right now to review." She later attempted to clarify that she had meant the Epstein file in its entirety. Advertisement Many within Trump's MAGA movement allege that the files about the paedophile's crimes have been withheld to protect big names. US House Speaker Mike Johnson said he supported the release of the files. Speaking on a podcast with Benny Johnson, the Republican said: "It's a very delicate subject, but we should put everything out there and let the people decide it. "I'm for transparency," he added. 7 Advertisement 7 Other conservative figures have since demanded to see all the documents related to Epstein's crimes. Lauren Boebert, another conservative Republican said a special counsel should be appointed to investigate the financier's crimes if more Epstein files were not released. And Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana said the voters expect more accountability. Even Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, a Fox News host, has called for "more transparency" from the administration. Advertisement All the while, Trump has rejected the suggestion the files contain anything of note. He said last month: "I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It's pretty boring stuff."

Termini is back in Buffalo in the US after his visa ran out here having spent from February to May, in Newport, Co Mayo. The American was flown over to Dublin by gardai as the third and final youngster was sentenced over the horror attack on Dublin's Talbot Street. Advertisement We revealed last week how that thug — who instigated the assault — has already been released from prison after serving less than six months of a 20-month sentence. Termini had planned to live out his remaining days in Mayo, where his ancestors are from, but could not get residency. He's now back renting in his native Buffalo and has to deal with these fresh health woes after being hit by the car. Speaking to The Irish Sun, Termini revealed: 'It was on a weekend a few weeks back. It was very hot and I was out later in the evening. Advertisement 'I was just coming back home from the grocery store. 'The landlord let me use a e-scooter and there was a lot of traffic in the area. 'I was on the sidewalk, not on the street. He added: 'I had just spent $90 on food in the grocery store and it was left lying on the street in the scorching heat. It was a very strange experience. I have to think that was an angelic test.' He was left with bleeds on multiple layers of his brain, a fractured skull and other serious injuries. He underwent emergency surgery which saved his eyesight in one eye at the Mater Hospital before spending two weeks in intensive care at Beaumont. Even when I'm on breaks at work, I read books about Ireland and that keeps me going. 'I get up, make a few dollars, put it in the bank until I save enough to get back to Ireland.'

Moment warped Russian soldiers taunt Ukraine by flying an AMERICAN flag into battle ahead of crunch Zelensky-Trump talks

The captured armoured personnel is seen speeding down a road hours after Russia launched another deadly assault on war-torn Ukraine FLAG FURY Moment warped Russian soldiers taunt Ukraine by flying an AMERICAN flag into battle ahead of crunch Zelensky-Trump talks THIS is the moment twisted Russian soldiers mock Ukraine by flying an American flag into battle. Their malicious taunts come as Donald Trump meets Volodymyr Zelensky today for high-stakes peace talks on how to end the bloody war. 8 Swaggering Putin troops flying the US and Russian flags Credit: East2West 8 Armed forces near Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region Credit: East2West Advertisement 8 They were captured parading in a captured American M113 armoured personnel Credit: EAST2WEST 8 Swathes of eastern Ukraine are on the negotiating table as the leaders discuss how to stop the Russian aggression once and for all. And now - in what appears to be a grim crack at Zelensky - horrifying footage shows Vlad's troops flying the US flag alongside the Russian tricolour. Advertisement Parading in a captured American M113 armoured personnel the Ukrainian truck is seen speeding down a road, as forces stormed Mala Tokmachka in Ukraine's Zaporizhia region. The sick jibe follows an overnight Russian drone strike on Kharkiv which killed five people, including two children, and injured dozens more. The city near the Russian border was also hit hours earlier by a ballistic missile that wounded at least 11 people, Mayor Igor Terekhov said. The head of the Centre for the Study of the Occupation, Petr Andryushchenko, fumed: 'The Russians have already declared the United States an ally and are storming Mala Tokmachka in M113 armoured personnel carriers….with Russian and American flags. Advertisement 'This is the logical conclusion to all of Trump's absurdity. And all of this is on the official propaganda channel of Russia Today. There are no words.' While a local news channel wrote: 'The Russians put American flags on their armoured vehicles next to the tricolour and are driving around the occupied Ukrainian land." 'This is all you need to know about the result of the negotiations in Alaska.' Donald Trump vows full peace deal not 'mere ceasefire' after Alaska summit as Zelensky to head to White House Their bizarre taunts stem from Trump's perceived support for Vladimir Putin after the pair met in Alaska on Friday to discuss ending the war. Plans haggled at the face-to-face summit were later circulated by the Americans and The Sun was told a surrender deal would see Ukraine forced to reject Nato membership and other 'multinational deals'. Advertisement Negotiations also involved Ukraine potentially ceding control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions which are, in part, occupied by Russian troops. Just days after the historic Alaska summit - and six months after his disastrous Oval Office shouting match with Trump - Zelensky will himself sit at the Washington negotiating table today to discuss Ukraine's future. What do Trump and Zelensky want from the summit? By Sayan Bose, Foreign News Reporter FOR Donald Trump, it is a chance to convince Volodymyr Zelensky to agree to a quick peace deal and end bloodshed in Ukraine - something the US president has been chasing ever since he stepped inside the White House. But the quick deal may not be all good news for Ukraine, as it may have to cede more territory to stop the Russian onslaught in a hasty decision. Zelensky instead wants to take things slow and get the Russians to stop striking his country initially with a ceasefire so that he can focus on deeper peace talks. He, too, wants lasting peace in his war-torn nation, but not at the expense of more Ukrainian territory. The brave Ukrainian leader also wants America to offer security guarantees against future Russian aggression. Europe, meanwhile, is expected to act as a mediator to facilitate the talks. It hopes to get a fair deal for Ukraine, one that diminishes the chances of Russia attacking Europe again in the future - which political analysts have warned could happen in the next five to 10 years. Ukraine and its allies have long feared that Trump could press an agreement favourable to Moscow - which now seems inevitable. But to what extent? That remains to be seen. PM Sir Keir Starmer will be in attendance, joined by the leaders of France, Germany and Italy alongside the heads of Nato and the EU in a firm show of solidarity against the Russians. Zelensky yesterday said territory haggling could only be discussed 'by the leaders of Ukraine and Russia' at his expected showdown with Putin. European leaders including Sir Keir held a video conference ahead of the White House meeting where they warned the Kremlin's barbarous invasion must not see 'borders redrawn by force'. Advertisement After her own meeting on Sunday with Mr Zelensky, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said: 'These are decisions to be made by Ukraine and Ukraine alone, and these decisions cannot be taken without Ukraine at the table.' But US officials insisted it was Mr Trump who invited all of the key players as the time had come to finally work out how to police any peace deal with Russia. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters the key issue was, 'How do we stop this from happening again?' as he opened the door for a major role for the US in the so-called 'Coalition of the Willing' that has vowed to protect Ukraine's future sovereignty. 8 8 US President Donald Trump is meeting Zelensky today to discuss a peace plan and will be joined by other European leaders Credit: AFP Advertisement 8 Six months after his disastrous Oval Office shouting match with Trump
