Rangers favourite Arfield left stunned by Whigfield video
The Rangers hero, who returned to his boyhood club in February, was left stunned when none other than 90s pop icon Whigfield sent him a personalised video message – singing the very tune that's become his unofficial anthem.
To the famous beat of her 1994 dance hit Saturday Night, Bairns fans regularly belt out 'Saturday night, and I like the way you move… Scotty Arfield!' – a chant that has echoed around stadiums from Ibrox to the Falkirk Stadium.
And on the night Falkirk sealed back-to-back promotions to secure a return to Scotland's top flight for the first time in 15 years, Arfield was treated to a one-of-a-kind message from the Danish star.
Watching the clip back, a visibly shocked Arfield exclaimed: 'Oh my god. You can't be serious!'

Whigfield then delivered her congratulations, saying: 'I just want to congratulate Falkirk on getting promoted back into the William Hill Premiership. I hope Scott and everybody else at the club are going to have an amazing night. Big kiss and good luck. Bye.'

The emotional scenes capped a dream return for Arfield, who has made a massive impact since rejoining the Bairns in the winter window. The veteran midfielder scored nine goals in just 13 league appearances, playing a pivotal role in Falkirk's charge to the title under manager John McGlynn.
Their final fixture, a dramatic Friday night showdown under the lights, saw the Bairns come from behind to defeat relegated Hamilton Academical 3–1 – thanks to an Ethan Ross brace and a stunning solo effort from Calvin Miller.
With title rivals Livingston slipping up at home to Partick Thistle, Falkirk finished three points clear at the summit and will now gear up for Premiership football against the likes of Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts next season.
From Ibrox glory nights to Whigfield shout-outs – it's been quite the ride for 36-year-old Arfield. And with Falkirk back among Scotland's elite, the Saturday night party is only just getting started.

June 7 - Michael Soroka threw six scoreless innings and Alex Call homered to propel the Washington Nationals to a 2-0 victory over the visiting Texas Rangers on Friday. Soroka (3-3) allowed just two hits while striking out seven and walking one for the Nationals, who had dropped three of four games prior to the series opener. The Washington bullpen kept Texas hitless for the final three innings. Closer Kyle Finnegan retired the first two Rangers he faced in the ninth before Marcus Semien reached on CJ Abrams' fielding error. Garcia's two-out single in the top of the fifth marked the Rangers' first hit and only their second baserunner after Kyle Higashioka was hit by a pitch in the third. Corbin cruised through the bottom of the fifth with a five-pitch inning. Smith laced a one-out single in the sixth while Corey Seager worked a two-out walk, but Soroka escaped the jam by inducing Semien's flyout. Brad Lord relieved Soroka in the seventh, retiring Burger and Evan Carter on two pitches before getting Garcia to pop out to end the inning. Jose Ferrer added a perfect eighth. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims on Friday, Davide Ancelotti has made a major decision on his future and is teaming up with his dad Carlo once again. Stand-off Russell and his teammates overcame a seven-point deficit at the break eventually prevail 34-20 victory over near-neighbours Bristol and set up a clash at Twickenham next weekend against either Leicester Tigers or Sale Sharks. When Will Muir finished off a prolonged period of pressure by touching down in the left corner and Max Ojomoh added a fifth on the hour, Bath were back in command. With Russell faultless from the tee, the score was suddenly 34-13.
