Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate shares heartbreaking reality after 'best friend' passing
Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy shared a heartbreaking tribute to the star marking eight months since his tragic passing
Liam Payne's girlfriend has taken to social media sharing a heartbreaking tribute to the star eight months after the death of her "angel". Kate Cassidy shared multiple photos of Liam to mark the date, heartbreakingly admitting she thought "I had so much more time and life left to share" with the One Direction singer.
Kate captioned the post on Instagram, writing: "Eight months ago today, I lost my best friend and someone I thought I had so much more time and life left to share with. Liam was the kind of person you'd start missing the moment you walked out the door.
"Even when leaving the house for a few hours, I'd find myself rushing home to be with him again out of excitement. Now facing the reality that I live in a constant state of missing you is something I still can't fully wrap my head around."
The emotional tribute continued: "Knowing I can't just come home and see you, hear your voice, or feel your hug, it's a type of pain I can't fully put into words. I can't seem to tell if life is flying by without you or moving so slow none of it fully makes sense.
"But I am trying to live my life as best I can for now and live it for you. I miss you more than words can say.
"One day, I'll see you again, and I'll have so much to tell you. So much to catch up on. I love you my angel. 444"
The social media personality posted unseen photos of the couple, with one of the images showing Kate and Liam in the bedroom with Kate wearing a sports jersey with "Payne" on the back, the Mirror reports.
Another snap showed the pair laughing together at a formal event, with Kate wearing a striking red blazer and Liam dressed in a beige suit and hat combination.
Kate also shared a heartbreaking screenshot of her phone screen from the start of August last year. In the screen grab, there are a number of text messages from Liam, including a sweet message that said: "I literally couldn't love you more if I tried and somehow I will tomorrow."
Another message stated: "I can't wait to see you," along with a text of the One Direction star making plans with Kate.
Liz Hurley's son Damian was among the masses who shared a comment under the touching post. He wrote: "Charge Liam's Apple Watch," along with a crying with laughter emoji, as he continued to tell her: "I love you so much."
Last week it was revealed two men accused of supplying the singer with cocaine shortly before his death will face trial.
Prosecutors revealed ex-hotel worker Ezequiel David Pereyra and Waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz will stand in court for their alleged part in the singer's death which occurred last October. The pair face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
The pair have been remanded in jail since January awaiting trial, after they were charged in connection to Liam's death in Buenos Aires.
Prosecutors had revealed that Liam had taken cocaine "up to a few minutes before his death".

Hoda Kotb sparks frenzied speculation that she reunited with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman after gushing tribute
Hoda Kotb has ignited frenzied speculation that she has reunited with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman after she posted a sweet tribute to him on Father's Day. In a heartfelt upload, the former Today show co-anchor, 60, heaped praise on the financier, with whom she shares adopted daughters Haley, nine, and Hope, five. Taking to social media on Monday, Hoda uploaded two sweet photos, one of which saw the two little girls hugging dad Joel. Another snap showed the dad-of-two walking hand in hand with on of their daughters while on a shopping trip. 'A great father's day for a great dad!' Hoda captioned her Instagram post. 'Happy father's day Joel!' In the comments, some speculated whether Hoda and Joel might have rekindled their relationship. 'Are they back together?' asked one. 'He sure is a great dad!' another said. 'How I wish you were still with Joel!' A third wrote: 'She is on and off with this guy.' Others, however, praised the former couple for coparenting their kids harmoniously. 'Those two girls are blessed to have such loving and involved parents,' said one. 'Aww, love seeing Joel! Happy Father's Day!' another said. 'He's a great dad!' exclaimed a third. 'Wish you guys were still together.' A fourth praised: 'You both are rocking this co-parenting gig.' has reached out to Hoda for comment. While Hoda and Joel are no longer in a romantic relationship, they continue to co-parent their two girls and are often together during holiday celebrations, such as Christmas Day and Thanksgiving. New wellness guru Hoda was previously in an eight-year relationship with New York financier Joel, but the couple decided to part ways at the beginning of 2022. They had begun their relationship in 2013 and in November 2019, Hoda announced live on Today that they were engaged. In January 31, 2022, however, she revealed on Today with Hoda & Jenna that she and Joel had decided to end their engagement and would focus on co-parenting as friends. 'Joel and I have had a lot of prayer and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we are better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple,' the talk show host said at the time. 'So, we decided we are going to start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our adorably delightful children and as friends. 'It's not like something happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason, a season or a lifetime, this was for a season.' Last month, Hoda revealed her youngest daughter Hope has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, two years after she was rushed to hospital. Returning to the Today show, she opened up about her daughter's diagnosis for the first time to Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin and explained that she's 'constantly monitoring' her child. 'Hope is fine for most of the day. There are just moments where you have to watch her,' she explained. 'I was totaling it up — five minutes at breakfast, five minutes at lunch, five minutes at dinner, sometimes overnight. Add that up, that's a half-hour. So, for 23 and a half hours, she's every other kid, so I try to remember that.' While spending more time with her daughters was the main reason she left the Today show, Hope's condition 'definitely weighed in' on her exit. 'As anyone with a child who has Type 1 (knows), especially a little kid, you're constantly watching, you're constantly monitoring, you're constantly checking, which is what I did all the time when I was [at Today],' she said. 'You're distracted. You just get a priority check in your life. 'I can be here and sweating what's happening to Hope in the morning and in the night, or I can be there and feel relief that I can see.' Hope's health issues began over two years ago. In February 2023, Hoda took two weeks off from the Today show due to a 'family health matter,' she shared at the time. She later revealed that her youngest daughter had been hospitalized due to a sudden, unspecified illness. Hope, who was four at the time, spent several days in the intensive care unit and a little over a week in the hospital. Speaking to Savannah on the show at the time, Hoda said: 'My youngest Hope was in the ICU for a few days and then the hospital for a little more than a week. 'I'm so grateful she is home, she is back home. I was waiting for that day to come. And we are watching her closely. I'm just so happy.'

Fearne Cotton stuns in a blue sequin mini dress as she parties in Ibiza and teases new project - after estranged husband Jesse Wood proves he's serious with Made In Chelsea star
Fearne Cotton turned heads as she celebrated a friend's 50th birthday in style on the sun-soaked island of Ibiza. The 43-year-old TV presenter shared a series of vibrant snaps from her time on the Spanish island on Instagram on Tuesday. For one of the standout pool parties, Fearne dazzled in a shimmering blue sequin mini dress that showed off her toned legs. She completed the eye-catching outfit with silver boots and matching jewellery, posing for photos with friends as they danced the night away. In another photo, she radiated summer energy in a bright yellow dress, posing for a sunny selfie by the pool alongside a friend. Fearne then shared some shots of a scenic group hike and a cheerful shot of a camera crew gathered together at the marina. She captioned the post: 'A weekend of dancing and filming in Ibiza. First up celebrating Hedvigs 50th. So many special memories made. Danced all day (shout out to my dance partner Emma. So many memories in the happy box). 'Then filming something cool with the loveliest team of people which will be out soon. A relentless, vibrant weekend of lovely people. My cup is full and I need some sleep.' It comes after Fearne's estranged husband Jesse Wood proved things are getting serious in his new relationship with Gemma Gregory. The musician, 48, went public with his romance with the former Made in Chelsea star, 39, two months ago and they are going from strength to strength. Fearne issued a shock statement to announce her split from Jesse after 10 years of marriage back in December, saying their priority was their children. Last week, Gemma posted several loved-up pictures to Instagram, showing her and Jesse looking cosy as they cuddled and joked around during various days out. The London-born actress and former model captioned the post: 'Love is the frequency of magic', followed by star and red heart emojis. One friend commented, 'Gem you look so happy, glad you found a person who makes you happy.' Another said, 'You look so happy.' Insiders say the relationship is progressing quickly - and it looks to be far more than a casual rebound following the shock collapse of Jesse's decade-long marriage to TV presenter Fearne last December. 'It's getting serious now. Jesse and Gemma are spending loads of time together and things are clearly going well,' a source close to the pair told MailOnline. 'He's been through a rough patch emotionally, but Gemma's really lifted him. They've got chemistry and a lot in common - she makes him laugh, and he feels relaxed around her. It's definitely more than a fling.' The couple first went public in April when Gemma posted a sunny snap of Jesse hugging her tightly with the caption: 'Bloody love this one'. It came just weeks after photos of Fearne kissing her new boyfriend, TV director Elliot Hegarty, emerged. Fearne addressed her split from Jesse for the first time on Lorraine earlier this year, calling the situation 'very amicable' and saying the children - son Rex, 11, and daughter Honey, 8 - were 'doing great'. She also spoke candidly about her health struggles, revealing that she had undergone surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jaw last year. Jesse, meanwhile, has remained tight-lipped publicly, though his stepmother Jo Wood - ex-wife of his father Ronnie Wood - has spoken about the split. 'I was shocked, actually. I didn't expect Fearne to have a new boyfriend. And Jesse was devastated,' she told the Mail earlier this year. 'But sometimes in life, you have to go through these things… I'm sure Jesse's going to be very happy. These things work out. Their time was up - they had to move on.' She also said she looked forward to meeting Gemma, describing the relationship at the time as 'all very new'. Gemma, who has a son, Benji, from a previous relationship, is no stranger to the spotlight. She played young Estella in the 1999 adaptation of Great Expectations, and briefly appeared in Made in Chelsea in 2012 thanks to her long-time friendship with Hugo Taylor. She's also previously been romantically linked to aristocrat Nicholas Knatchbull - the godson of Prince Charles - and England polo captain Henry Brett. Despite her Chelsea connections and glamorous past, Gemma has kept a relatively low profile in recent years - though friends say she's now 'glowing' with happiness. Meanwhile, Fearne appears to be embracing her own new chapter, saying in a recent interview that she feels the happiest she's been in years and wants to focus on 'having fun' in her forties. Speaking to BBC Radio 2's Scott Mills, she said: 'I'm really happy… I'm springing out of bed in the morning ready for life.'

Alan Ritchson - star of the hit series Reacher - gushed about a surprise visit on set from former President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. The actor, who has over 4.2 million followers on Instagram, shared a reel consisting of photos and clips from the presidential visit. Alan gushed about the Biden in his caption, writing: 'So our Reacher set got in the way of these legends.' The actor, who is a devout Christian, slammed current President Donald Trump last year during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Alan Ritchson - star of the hit series Reacher - gushed about a surprise visit on set from former President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden In Alan's post, he explained how honored he felt meeting Joe and Hunter. He wrote: 'Was a privilege and honor to meet the Biden family. They couldn't have been more lovely. Kind, joyful, gracious and present.' Adding: 'We chatted briefly about simple stuff, like string theory and quantum entanglement. Then Joe beat me at arm wrestling. All in a day's work.' The Bidens dined at Parc restaurant in Philadelphia while Reacher was filming nearby, according to CBS Philadelphia. Alan was filming a scene outside that involved a police chase when Joe and Hunter got out of a SUV. 'Out walked these men that I thought were actors but then the entire cast and crew started clapping and cheering. Then someone said, "We love you, Joe, we love you!"' the eyewitness told CBS Philadelphia. 'I thought it was the end of the scene - that they were wrapping for the day. And no, it was you know Joe Biden decided he needed some breakfast at Parc Rittenhouse,' the source told the outlet. The source said they were inside the restaurant for about an hour then came and met with the actors and crew members as well as residents. In April 2024, Alan spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his religion and how the religion has changed in his opinion. 'I'm a Christian quite simply because of what Jesus calls us to do. Love other people until death. It doesn't mean we're all to be hung on a cross, but how can I suffer for you? That is a beautiful thing,' he said to the outlet. He called Christians the 'most vitriolic tribe' and noted that 'it is so antithetical to what Jesus was calling us to be and to do.' His show Reacher has been dubbed an anti-woke series - but the actor has very strong feelings about Trump. Alan plays Jack Reacher in the series, which is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child. 'Trump is a rapist and a con man. And yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he's their poster child and it's unreal. I don't understand it,' Alan said. On the state of the Catholic church: 'It's worth saying that the atrocities that are happening in the church that are being actively covered up, even to this day with people not being held accountable, is repulsive. I can't for one second support the Catholic Church while there are still cardinals, bishops and priests being passed around with known pedophilic tendencies.' Alan stars in action series Reacher, based on the Jack Reacher book series Fans were divided in the comments section of Alan's reel, with some surprised at his political stance Fans were divided in the comments section of Alan's reel, with some surprised at his political stance. Many applauded him on being a 'true Christian,' and calling the moment as 'awesome.' In February 2025, Alan revealed he and Matt Gaetz were 'adversaries,' and said it began back in their school days. He spoke out his relationship with the former Congressman to GQ magazine, calling him 'that motherf****r.' 'We are adversaries. He's just not a good dude. It's shocking to me that the panhandle of Florida continues to vote for somebody - knowing everything we know about him.' Gaetz was a member of Congress and was Trump's choice for Attorney General, but he pulled his own name out of contention after allegations he had a threesome with a minor. He has maintained his innocence.
