Celtic target addresses transfer links as Telstar exit confirmed
The Moroccan striker helped his club win promotion back to the Eredivisie for the first time since 1978 after he scored home and away against Willem II in a promotion play-off to take his tally for the season to 25 goals in 45 games, including five in the six play-off games.
He's out of contract and has been linked with a move to the Hoops, Schalke and NEC Nijmegen, with Parkhead spies reportedly having watched him in recent matches.
And the 25-year-old made it clear he will have plenty of offers.
He said: "I knew this would be my last match in the Telstar shirt, so I gave it my all and didn't want to get knocked out this time.

But Iwata admits he hadn't even heard of the Northern Irishman when he took over at Parkhead. He told Japanese outlet Soccer Digest Web: "Manager Rodgers was a famous coach in Scotland, but I didn't know of him at all. "At first I wondered, 'What kind of person is he?' The team actually got going and the football they were trying to play was interesting." The midfielder felt he had so much to offer the Hoops, but didn't get the chance under Rodgers. He said: "There were some areas where I wasn't able to fully showcase myself. It was partly because there was an absolute player in Callum McGregor in the same position, but honestly, I feel like I could have done more." "For players in the front line, the numbers are clear, but my strengths are my one-on-one strengths and my ability to steal the ball. "At Celtic, it's difficult to show that. The teams that are overwhelmingly strong in Scotland always have the ball and take the lead. "I would take it positively that I was able to concentrate on the offensive side, but I can't show my strengths much and I don't get many playing time". Interest in the Japanese began to grow after his first full season in Hoops, and he was determined to get his move, saying: "Birmingham made me an offer as soon as the off-season began, and they patiently waited until August 31st, the final day for transfers. "I thought to myself, 'If they feel that way about me, I want to go,' and immediately packed my bags and headed for my new home. I didn't have any negative feelings about it being in the third division, and my biggest motivation at the time was wanting to show my family that I was working hard". There was still a Celtic connection at his new club in the English third tier which he knew about: "In addition, the manager, Chris Davies, had previously been a coach at Celtic and had recently been a coach under Ange at Tottenham. "The two managers had heard about me and offered me the position with confidence that we could work together, so I was able to go with peace of mind." Showed he's got some promise. 6 Subs: Cieran Slicker (Gunn 6) - Debut didn't go to plan, that's for sure. Poor kick for the opener, flailing at the second, even worse at the third. 'Looking at two friendly matches at the end of the season and basing your concerns on that, I think, is not valid. 'But the fact there has been previous losses that haven't been great performances at all, that would give you a little bit more concern.' Ajax make brutal Jordan Henderson call despite lifeline from England boss Tuchel
England international Jordan Henderson is set to be on the move this summer and hometown club Sunderland are among the candidates for his signature if he leaves Ajax Jordan Henderson has been told he can leave Ajax for free. The England midfielder, who celebrates his 35th birthday this month, is not in new coach Johnny Heitinga's plans - and the Dutch club are hoping that talk of newly-promoted Sunderland offering Henderson a return to the Stadium of Light gains more traction now that their stance is clear. Ajax are desperate to get Henderson's £100,000-a-week salary off the wage bill after being forced to pay a raft of big-money bonuses following their qualification for the Champions League. Henderson began his career with hometown club Sunderland and was at Wembley to see the Black Cats beat Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final to secure a £200million return to the top-flight last month. He has been told by Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel that there is a place for him in England's World Cup squad next summer if he can maintain his form and fitness - and he started against Andorra on Saturday. Henderson's experience would be invaluable for Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris to call on - although whether the Wearside club would match the money he earns in Holland remains to be seen. Ajax moved on Liverpool to make Heitinga their new coach after sacking Francesco Farioli for a dramatic late-season collapse that cost them the Eredivisie title. Heitinga, who joined Arne Slot 's backroom staff at Anfield last year, has already arranged the return of former Southampton winger Dusan Tadic to the Johan Cruyff Arena - and the belief is that the Serb will replace Henderson as club captain. Henderson moved to Amsterdam in January 2024 in a bid to secure a place in England's squad for the Euros after an unhappy six months with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq. But Gareth Southgate still didn't take him to Germany and the player was involved in a row with Ajax during the winter transfer window when they refused to let him take up an offer to join Monaco. Henderson's improved form saw him recalled to international duty when Tuchel named his first England squad in March for the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia. Tuchel explained that the former Liverpool skipper is a vital influence for him both on and off the pitch. Henderson has won 83 caps for his country. When he spoke to the Dutch media following the end-of-season collapse that saw Ajax throw away a nine-point lead in the final five games to allow PSV Eindhoven to snatch the title, he admitted: 'I am really proud of what we have achieved this season with Ajax. But next season here? We will have to wait and see. 'The club will have to make decisions. Not just about me, but about other players too. We will also have to sit down at some point with the club and find out what they want to do with the financial situation. 'We have to look at who they want to stay and who they don't. I just want to have a bit of rest, clear my mind. First the national team and then a real holiday.'
