Brooklyn Beckham officially ditches UK after buying $10,500,000 LA mansion

Metro6 hours ago

After years living Stateside, Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly made things official by purchasing a whopping $10,500,000 (£7,800,000) mansion in Los Angeles.
It was looking unlikely the eldest Beckham child would return to the UK, having lived in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz for many years.
However, this new Beverly Hills home has cemented his life out there, in what a source called a 'dagger to the heart' decision for his parents.
His new pad is said to feature five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an infinity pool, a gym and a state-of-the-art cinema.
Brooklyn, 26, and his family have reportedly been at odds for months, with some sources saying he has gone 'no contact'.
There has been a steely silence from the influencer, even over Father's Day and the news of Sir David Beckham's knighthood, which his siblings celebrated on social media.
The absence was noticeable as the family shared gushing posts for every celebration, including Sir David's 50th birthday.
The former footballer and Victoria Beckham share four children – Brooklyn, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and daughter Harper, 13.
Fans are well accustomed to seeing the Beckhams move as a family unit, so the fracture is in stark contrast to this.
A source told The Sun: 'Brooklyn's wife is American, as are her family whom he adores, and he feels his life now is Stateside.
'As an influencer he can work from anywhere but Brooklyn believes he has more opportunities in LA. It will be a dagger to the heart for his parents.'
They claimed that there had been hope he might return, given the couple were previously renting so could up sticks easily but the purchase 'quashed' those chances.
A different source said this move is 'nothing to do' with the current strained family dynamics; instead, it is solely based on the fact that Brooklyn has built his life out there.
A source close to Victoria previously told Metro she was 'heartbroken' over the spat.
The Beckhams mainly reside in London's Holland Park in a grand Grade II-listed home, built in 1862, which they purchased in 2013.
They also own a property in Miami, given that Sir David is the co-owner of Inter Miami CF, so LA isn't that far away when it's football season.
The cause of the rift is largely unknown, with some speculating that Nicola had driven a wedge between them.
In his recent Father's Day post, Sir David wrote he would 'always be here for you no matter what…' in a message to all of his children and tagged Brooklyn in the post alongside snaps of the pair together.
Other issues around Romeo's ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull, who he split from after seven months recently, and her previous relationship with Brooklyn.
Kim attempted to set the record straight over if there had been anything romantic between them, which was heavily speculated. More Trending
She wrote on Instagram: 'I've avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it's come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.
'I will not continue to receive the harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.
'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at 16.
'I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation and set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.'

True Love powers to Queen Mary first for O'Brien

Trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore, True Love had chased home Tuesday's Coventry Stakes winner and stablemate Gstaad on her latest start and was duly sent off the 9-4 favourite. True Love took some time to work her way into the race as Zelaina set a scorching early pace, but she stayed on to real effect in the final furlong to beat 100-1 shot Flowerhead, with Patrick Biancone's American raider Lennilu third. It was win number 93 for O'Brien at the big meeting, although rather surprisingly his first in the Queen Mary. He said: 'She's lovely and in her first run Ryan came in and said they won't beat her again and then after her second run Wayne (Lordan) said the same thing, that they won't beat her again, and then you have to consider the two that beat her (Lady Iman and Gstaad) are very good horses. 'Ryan gave her a beautiful ride and Michael (Tabor) has always loved her and always spoken about her. It's great as her mother (Alluringly) is in foal to City Of Troy and her sister is in foal to Wootton Bassett so it's marvellous really. 'She was drawn by herself and there was no pace where she was so she had to go and do her own work and that's what Ryan did, he was excellent on her. She was probably strongest in the last half-furlong and when she got going she really powered away. Another juvenile winner for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore 👏 True Love wins The Queen Mary Stakes ❤️#RoyalAscot — ITV Racing (@itvracing) June 18, 2025 'Ryan said he was a little slow to step and a little on the back foot all the time and I think that's why he was trying to stoke her up a bit, but late on she was really strong. 'She had to work really hard and the only place she was going to get company was out in the middle and Ryan did really well to let her go there. She was under the pump a long way out, but so strong at the line and is obviously high class. 'She's like a four-year-old really and Ryan thought she would be better when she steps up to six furlongs and she's a big, mature filly who walks around the ring like a four-year-old, she's so scopey – she's something to look forward to.' On future plans, O'Brien added: 'I think we look forward to going up in trip now, the lads will decide that. You would imagine she would have no problem going six furlongs, but she is No Nay Never and he's a big speed influence always. 'The Queen Mary winner seems to always head to Deauville (Prix Morny) or the Curragh (Airlie Stud Stakes) and that would be the two races really or there is the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket in July. That may come too soon, but we will see how she is.' Flowerhead's trainer Charlie Clover was thrilled to secure a Royal Ascot placing in his first full season with a licence. He said: 'This is a huge start for us, we were struggling away for the first few months but it's really kicked into gear the past few weeks and it's been a delight to see the whole team find their feet. 'It's only a small team but it's been massively welcome to see these horses run to form and I can't thank (owner) Amo Racing enough, they've done so much for me and my career in helping me get off the ground. 'We liked her at home, we hoped she'd run a nice race but second was a bit of a dream. You can get greedy quite quickly and think you could have won it, who knows? 'I'm delighted to be in the frame and for her to run a big race for owners who are so important to me.' Biancone plans to head back to America with Lennilu following her run, saying: 'She's only a baby. 'I liked the fact she was the first one off the bridle and she was there at the end, which means she will go a bit further and that is great. We're happy, she fought all the way. 'We go home, we give her a break. The first plan was to try to bring her here which we did, she's Grade Two placed now which is good. She'll have a little vacation and we'll see her in Del Mar.' The Richard Hannon-trained Harry's Girl was pulled up during the race and it was later confirmed the filly had sustained a fatal injury.

Rod Stewart shares eye-watering Glastonbury cost he will need to pay out of his own pocket

The Maggie May rocker, 80, is set to perform at the Legends slot act in Glastonbury 2025, joining a star-studded line-up of other acts. Sir Rod Stewart has revealed how much he will pocket following his highly-anticipated slot at Glastonbury festival later this year. However, despite bosses dishing out a substantial sum he's left with a sore bill. He has been touring across the US, meaning it's going to cost a hefty sum to transport his crew, staging and equipment back for the festival, set to take place at the end of this month. ‌ The rock legend, 80, will return to one of the biggest musical festivals in Somerset for the first time in over two decades. Rod last performed on the Pyramid stage 23 years ago. ‌ Maggie May rocker Rod will be joined by a stellar line-up of acts as he performs as this year's Legends slot. He has opened up on his Glastonbury comeback in a new interview. Rod claimed he would receive £120,000 from festival bosses but it will set him back £300,000 to take to the stage early in the evening on Sunday, June 29. Speaking to the Radio Times, Sir Rod said: "It was about eight months ago when I was asked to do it, maybe a little longer. But it didn't fit with my schedule because I've got to bring everybody back from America. "It's going to cost me £300,000 to do it and they only pay you about 120,000 quid. So it's going to cost me." However the hefty cost didn't appear to phase the Celtic-daft rocker, who was adamant it "doesn't matter" if he ends up out of pocket for the prized slot. ‌ It comes as he revealed that he will only play for one hour and 15 minutes. Rod claims he "begged" festival bosses for an extra 15 minutes as he usually performs for two hours, however his request was denied. Other Glastonbury headliners for the highly-anticipated 2025 show include The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Doechii, The Prodigy and Alanis Morissette. ‌ Sir Rod was recently forced to cancel six more shows from his US tour after coming down with the flu. Announcing the news on Instagram last week, the hitmaker said that he would be cancelling four US tour dates and rescheduling two others. He wrote: "So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon," alongside a heartbroken emoji. The multiple cancellations come after he was put on vocal rest between performances last month. Sir Rod has said he is planning to stop large-scale world tours at the end of this year.
