Apple Quality at a Lower Price, Amazon Crushes iPad 2025 Prices to a New All-Time Low
Thanks to this discount, the iPad 2025 is almost as affordable as many of the basic tablets offered by rival brands.
Apple's reputation for making the best-of-the-best devices is well deserved. iPhones, iPads, Watches and MacBooks set the benchmark by which everything else is measured within their particular markets. The iPad offers the convenience of a tablet with the functionality to get work, creativity and entertainment tasks done.
That convenience just became even greater with the new 11-inch iPad that was released in March 2025. Already, Amazon is selling this latest model for a record-low price: the 128GB Wi-Fi model is selling for only $299 which is a 14 percent discount from its $349 list price.

This makes the iPad 2025 an even better option if you want to enjoy Apple's best-of-the-best experience without the best-of-the-best price that normally comes with it. The new iPad is powered by the super-fast A16 chip which provides a definite boost of performance to duties, way better than the previous processor.
Premium Display, Great UI
The 11-inch Liquid Retina display is stunning and it provides vibrant colors and it boasts True Tone technology that balances the screen to the light around you in the room. Not only a nicer thing to look at but also less harsh on eyes during prolonged use.
iPadOS is the ideal complement to the hardware and it helps the iPad to be more productive. You can have several apps open at once, type in any text field with Apple Pencil via Scribble Technology and access a massive catalog of apps crafted specifically for the iPad. The Magic Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil transform this tablet into a powerful tool for note-taking, sketching and typing, with a wonderful keyboard and responsive trackpad for precision control.
Connectivity is also a strong area of this 2025 tablet as it comes with fast Wi-Fi 6 for quick file transfers, seamless streaming and live video chats. The USB-C charging point ensures easy charging and porting of peripherals and all-day battery life allows you to use your iPad for work or play without searching for a plug.
The camera and video capabilities are quite robust for a tablet (you just can't compare it to an iPhone, but it's definitely among the best tablets in 2025) such as a 12MP Wide rear camera that is 4K video-enabled and a 12MP Center Stage front camera that is well-suited for video calls. Scanning receipts, capturing moments, or participating in a video call, the iPad cameras deliver high-quality shots even if you're a beginner.
This is one the best deals on a premium device you'll find this year, make sure you grab yours asap.

LA County union workers arrested after interrupting Board of Supervisors meeting
Tensions over a recent contract battle between Los Angeles County and its workers spilled over at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting. Several members of the Service Employees International Union, which represents the employees, were arrested when they refused to leave. "We're trying to send a message to the LA County Board of Supervisors," SEIU member Raymond Meza said. In late April, union workers staged a walkout that lasted several days. While talks have progressed since then, union leaders claim county officials are asking for unfair provisions. "The main sticking point is that the county wants to put in poison pills such as negotiating wages with us but having the unilateral ability to take it away," Meza said. "What is the point of doing this negotiation process if they can just undermine it whenever they want." The county said it's offering workers a fair deal that includes a $5,000 bonus, an additional bonus and cost-of-living adjustments. Supervisors said the county is going through one of the worst financial crises because of billions of dollars in sexual assault claims, the recent wildfires and the uncertain economic outlook. Union leaders said even with this offer the county is not bargaining in good faith. "After over 60 days without a contract, we want this settled now," Meza said.

'Tampa women for Good' raise nearly $100,000 for local charities
The Brief A group of women in Tampa has raised nearly $100,000 for local charities over the past three years. The volunteer-led giving circle has grown to more than 300 members since launching in 2021. TAMPA - In just under three years, a powerful group of women in Tampa has turned compassion into action, raising nearly $100,000 for local charities. They're known for giving back and now, Tampa Women for Good is taking their mission from meetings to the mangroves. What they're saying "We are a giving circle of women here in Tampa Bay who just want to give back to the community and get together socially with other like-minded, Boss Babes," Chriti Winsor, Quarterly Events Lead Tampa Women for Good said. The volunteer-led giving circle has grown to more than 300 members since launching in 2021. Together, they've raised over $96,000 for local nonprofits, and they're preparing to celebrate a major milestone of $100,000 raised with a "$100 Grand" event in July. "These donation grants, you know, they're between $1,000 and $5,000 for these organizations," said Winsor. Big picture view That is mission-changing money for some of these small grassroots organizations here in Tampa. "We are helping restore the shoreline by installing oyster beds," said Michelle Soderlund, with Tampa Women for Good. READ: Former teen mom helps young mothers make memories to last a lifetime The group is teaming up with Tampa Bay Watch for the Fantasy Island Oyster Reef Ball Installation Project. The goal: place custom-built concrete reef balls along the shoreline to encourage oyster growth, which is a key part of restoring marine habitat and improving water quality. "Leave that lasting legacy for yourself, too," said Soderlund. "It's not just your small time here on earth, it's what else can you do to make that lasting impact and change and again that will outlast you know yourself here." With their $100,000 milestone in sight, these women are proving that community, connection, and compassion can go a long way both on land and sea. "I'm just like so proud of the idea that it's just a bunch of women who wanted to get together and do something good," Winsor said.
