As busy as the Dallas Cowboys' offseason has seemed at times, it will be hard for fans to forget the drama and inactivity that plagued last offseason.

Two massive contracts in CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott were left largely unattended and a frighteningly quiet free agency led to frustration before the season started. The Cowboys would eventually pay the price for that inefficiency with a disappointing 7-10 record.
Things seem to be moving in a better direction this offseason, but there is a lot to be done to patch the wounds left from last summer.
Lamb, who was eventually given a four-year, $136 million extension, has released a behind-the-scenes vlog series on YouTube that followed him all throughout last season ... including his holdout of training camp and the preseason during his contract talks.
Owner Jerry Jones had expressed very little sense of urgency when talking to the media about Lamb's negotiations, leading CeeDee to drop an "lol" response on X/Twitter that sent out shockwaves of speculation last summer.

The All-Pro receiver opened up about Jones' controversial comments.
"Wow. Yeah that was a dagger ... way to ruin my day." Lamb remembered about his reaction.
Jones memorably tried defending his remarks, claiming he wasn't worried because Lamb wasn't supposed to play in the preseason anyway. However, stalling the deal led to Lamb holding out of training camp and missing valuable time with his teammates.
CeeDee has also expressed remorse for having to make that decision.
Unfortunately, contract drama this offseason could be following a similar timeline.
Cowboys star edge rusher Micah Parsons is up for a high-dollar contract extension, but Jones has not made any progress on that front in weeks.

This is all too familiar for Cowboys fans, but we've gotten word from Micah himself saying he plans to attend training camp.
Lamb was visibly upset and regretful about his situation last year. The last thing the Cowboys want is for Parsons to feel the same way.
The only thing left to do is hope Jerry has learned his lesson.
