Coronation Street's Carla 'makes Becky discovery' as she vows to get Lisa answers
Carla Connor is on a mission next week on Coronation Street, with a new spoiler preview revealing she's determined to get answers about Becky Swain.
Judging by the spoiler clip she could get to the bottom of it all, as she appears to make a discovery about Becky, the late wife of her partner Lisa Swain. Lisa has faced turmoil recently, forced to confront her past and the death, in the line of duty, of her wife Becky.
She died years earlier, and Lisa and daughter Betsy Swain have struggled to move past it. So when questions were raised earlier this year about whether Becky could have been in trouble and may have been a corrupt officer, Lisa's heartache and the questions surrounding her death escalated.
New information about what happened to her and possible new suspects sent Lisa on a downward spiral that she's still moving on from now. It's gotten to a point where Lisa has to know the truth, and she's digging away.
Betsy has also had a go at figuring out whether her mum Becky was actually on the wrong side of the law, and now it's Carla's turn. Seeing Lisa struggle with therapy and with people looking into Becky's case, Carla is desperate to do something.
So she decides to visit Logan in prison, just like Betsy did months earlier. It had been claimed that Logan and brother Matty were behind the wheel of the car that killed Becky in a hit and run.
With questions about whether there was more to her death and what Becky may have been secretly involved in, it's clear Logan knows more than he is letting on. So when Carla asks for answers, she's left coming to her own conclusion after a hint from the prisoner.
She asks Logan: "Are you gonna tell me about Becky or what?" Logan taunts her though, no doubt teasing he could drop her in it with Lisa. He says: "Does Swain know you're here? T ake that as a no. So you wanna know the truth about backhand Becky?"
Carla is aware of what he's just called her, and takes this as the biggest clue yet that Becky was in fact dodgy and Logan knows all about it. So does Logan know what went on back then and what led to Becky's death?
Carla asks: "Are you saying she was dodgy?" Logan then tries to backtrack and suggests he was referring to her tennis skills, smirking which tells Carla everything she needs to know.
She adds: "Was she a bent copper or not Logan?" Scheming Logan says: "Maybe, then again maybe not." It's then he makes it clear he is "open to negotiation" and wants paying for his information.
Carla asks how much, but the clip ends before we hear any more about what he wants or what he knows. But could Carla get the details Lisa so desperately needs, and will the truth about Becky finally be revealed?

Tina O'Brien 'head over heels' for new man as she shows him off at Jack P Shepherd's wedding
The Corrie favourite was spotted looking very loved up at the wedding of her on-screen brother. Jack P Shepherd's wedding yesterday was a day for love and romance - but not just for the groom. His on-screen sister Tina O'Brien looked loved up as she showed off her new man at the event. Tina, who plays Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street, was one of the guests at the lavish do at Manchester Cathedral yesterday. And she packed on the PDA with her new beau when leaving the afterparty. As seen in our sister title The Mirror, Tina and Adam Fadle, 38, shared a big snog on the street outside after deciding to call it a night. And an insider has claimed the actress, 41, is "head over heels" for Adam. There were plenty of cobbles favourites in attendance as Jack, who plays David Platt, tied the knot with Hanni Treweek in a romantic ceremony. As well as Tina, Lucy Fallon, Colson Smith, and Ben Price were there to celebrate the happy couple. And the groom's on-screen mum Helen Worth beamed as she walked towards the venue with her husband. The wedding came just over a year after Jack proposed to Hanni during a romantic safari trip in Tanzania. The couple had been colleagues on the popular soap before their relationship blossomed. And Tina certainly enjoyed her day celebrating her soap star pal. Wearing a blue and white floral dress, which she paired with a white handbag, she looked stunning. New man Adam looked very dapper in a white button-up shirt and a navy blue suit. The pair were "all over each other" throughout the celebrations, according to an insider, and after they left the lavish do hand-in-hand, they stopped in the street to share a big smooch. The source told The Mirror: "There was no mistaking they were an item on the day. Tina looked very much smitten with Adam. "She looked radiant and everyone that saw them could see how besotted with each other they were. They were all over each other." Speaking about their growing relationship, the insider added: "Tina dotes on him - she loves that he's very calm and is a real gentleman, in every way. She's head over heels. This is no flash in the pan relationship, they're getting serious." Tina was previously married to another Adam, personal trainer Adam Crofts. But the couple, who share a son, split after six years of marriage. According to insiders, Tina had simply fallen "out of love" with her husband and "fallen in love" with new Adam, a design guru who has worked for Paul Pogba. Adam refurbished the former Manchester United star's home in Cheshire shortly after he made the move to the Red Devils. The home appears in the designer's portfolio on the Panoramic Properties website. Jack first met Hanni when his now-bride appeared on Corrie, later going on to work as a storyline writer for the soap. However, sparks didn't fly until they met at a friend's wedding sometime later. Jack said: "We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it." Later that year, a chance meeting at a supermarket sparked their courtship. Despite Jack describing it as awkward, the meeting led to a long-lasting relationship. Hanni was worried about her looks at the time but Jack was totally taken with her. He said: "I actually thought she looked fit. I just saw the girl I fancy wearing lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Helen Flanagan displays her painful-looking black eyes as she fills up her £66,000 Audi with petrol after undergoing £400 skin injections
Helen Flanagan displayed her painful-looking black eyes as she filled up her £66,000 Audi with petrol on Friday. The Coronation Street star, 34, who was recently given back her driving licence after a six-month ban, cut a casual figure as she headed out for the day. Helen was accompanied by her son Charlie, and wore casual red gingham shorts and a black T-shirt for the outing. The star had previously posted snaps of her nasty black eyes on social media, sharing that they were the result of £400 skin injections. The former Coronation Street actress confirmed she had undergone the procedure on social media, before the black eye was more noticeable. Helen explained that the treatment, called Polynucleotides, aims to rejuvenate the skin and face with no added volume. The treatments use purified and sterilised DNA molecules extracted from salmon or trout sperm, known as polynucleotides, which have anti-inflammatory effects. When polynucleotides are injected into human skin, fibroblasts are activated. Fibroblasts are stretchy molecules found in skin that help to maintain the structural framework of the tissue, and they typically decrease with age. Helen reminded fans that she turns 35 in August, and thanked her regular practitioner: 'I only go to @drnataliehowarth for my face as I trust her a million percent.' Just days earlier, Helen sent temperatures soaring in sexy lace sheer lingerie as she posed for a sizzling Instagram video. The mother-of-three showed off her jaw-dropping figure in a daring lace pink bra which she teamed with a matching thong and suspenders. Helen looked sensational as she showed off her boob job while modelling the racy lingerie, from her summer edit with Nikki Intimates, sitting on her bed. The TV personality later slipped into a coordinated sheer lace bodysuit which she paired with stockings and suspenders. The soap star wrote: 'Forever a lover girl. Shop my summer edit with @nikkiintimates for the prettiest pieces.' The photo shoot comes after Helen declared that she's 'back to normal herself' and 'living in the Starbucks drive-thru' after the return of her driving licence following a six month ban. Back in January, the ex Corrie actress told the court her ex boyfriend Robbie Talbot was driving her £66,000 Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding twice. She was subsequently barred from the roads for six months, despite claiming she was struggling financially and would not be able to afford taxis to get her children to school. After being snapped back behind the wheel of her pricey motor last week, a delighted Helen took to her Instagram Stories to update her followers. She gushed: 'I am so happy that I have got my driving licence back, I was nervous at first for like the first ten minutes I was like 'It's so weird to be driving again' but now I just absolutely love it'. 'Back to my normal. I feel like I am back to myself now i'm back to the Trafford Centre and back living at the Starbucks drive-thru and I just feel like myself'. In a chaotic social media post last month, Helen complained what a 'pain in the a***' it had been without a car and had been unable to run errands or go shopping for essentials due to living so remotely. Taking to her Instagram Stories she explained her ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) had caused her to mix up paperwork to reapply for her licence, meaning the process would now be delayed further. 'I literally can't tell you what a pain in the a*** not having [my driving licence] because I live in the middle of nowhere, and of course I haven't been driving'. 'It's just been so b****y annoying, for example we are out of loo roll now and I can't pop out to the shops to get loo roll so my friend has to bring me loo roll'. In court Helen said her isolated moorland home meant it was a 10-minute drive even to go to the shops to buy bread and milk, and that she would 'really struggle without a car' in the remote location. The actress, who lives near Bolton, Greater Manchester, said she earned £70,000 last year – but said her income varies and that she could not afford a £10 taxi to take her son to nursery. Prosecutor Stephen Kirk told how Helen, who already had six penalty points for speeding, failed to declare who had been driving the car when it was caught speeding at locations on Merseyside in June last year, doing 42mph in a 30mph limit and 51mph in a 40mph limit. Magistrates gave her six more points for each offence - taking her total to 18 points, well above the 12-point threshold when magistrates normally impose a ban unless there is 'exceptional hardship'. Making her doomed plea to keep her licence, Helen said at the time: 'I am so sorry. I stupidly thought it was acceptable for my boyfriend to explain he was the one driving and it wasn't me.' Helen told the court how she is a 'full-time' mother to children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, using the car to take them to nursery, school and activities. She said: 'My job really is being a mum at home. Their dad works away. It's really difficult at the moment now for me to be earning money. I earn money on social media but it kind of varies what I earn.' She added: 'I think there might be a perception maybe that I would easily be able to afford a driver but that's quite far from the case. 'I've got enough money in my account to pay off my tax and my VAT and basically that's about it.' Asked by solicitor, Patrick Boyers, how she takes her son Charlie to his nursery without a car, she said: 'The other way to get Charlie to nursery is by Uber (taxi). That would be really expensive. I'm really struggling at the moment, financially.' Asked by the clerk how much it cost, she said: 'I did get an Uber from my house to the nursery this morning. It cost £10 that time.' She also claimed her son 'doesn't do so well in a taxi' and that he's 'much better strapped into a car where he's safe'.
