
Naidu unveils taskforce report to achieve Swarnandhra Vision 2047

The taskforce, chaired by Naidu and co-chaired by Tata Sons chairman Natarajan Chandrasekharan, made various suggestions on improving the macro-economic situation, growth drivers in key sectors, new opportunities, and industry collaborations required.
The report highlighted the need for restoring industry confidence and improving the fiscal situation, with recommendations for balanced regional growth.
Identifying agriculture as a key growth driver, the taskforce suggested expediting the integration of technology to improve productivity and harnessing untapped potential in the food processing sector.
The report also focused on growth opportunities in life sciences, electronics and semiconductors, IT, AI, and data centers in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, it outlined opportunities in the automotive industry, textiles, aerospace, defense, space, tourism, and mining sectors.
The taskforce report discussed new opportunities in the form of the blue economy, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu said that by promoting investments and boosting exports, Andhra Pradesh can achieve economic growth envisioned in the Swarnandhra vision document. Naidu stated that Amaravati will become the most futuristic city with world-class infrastructure and the first city to use only green energy.

He explained the investor-friendly policies and the government's focus on creating an environment for the speed of doing business, appealing to investors to come forward and invest in Andhra Pradesh.
Tata Sons chairman Chandrasekharan praised Naidu for his vision and setting ambitious goals of a 15% growth rate in the next 20 years and becoming a $2.4 trillion economy. He recollected how Hyderabad developed as the hub of the IT sector with the proactive steps taken by Naidu 25 years ago.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on the second day of his visit to Singapore, met Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology, Dr Tan See Leng, and discussed collaboration in sectors such as green energy, data centres, logistics, and housing. During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh's major initiatives in green energy and sought greater cooperation from Singaporean firms in projects related to green hydrogen, transmission corridors, and port development. According to the Chief Minister's Office, Naidu emphasised the need for Singapore's participation in establishing data centres and elaborated on the state's rapid expansion of its port infrastructure. Recognising Singapore's global strength in logistics, he called for its support in implementing best practices in the ports and logistics sectors in Andhra Pradesh. He also underscored the importance of Singapore's involvement in human resources, science and technology, and trade collaboration. Addressing concerns faced by Singaporean companies during the previous administration, the Chief Minister assured Minister Tan that measures are being taken to resolve those issues and that his visit reflects a commitment to transparency and rectification. He remarked that his government is investment-friendly and deeply values its relationship with Singapore. Recollecting past initiatives, CM Naidu cited the development of Singapore Township in Hyderabad during his earlier tenure as a symbol of admiration for Singapore's planning and efficiency. He also noted that Hyderabad once adopted nighttime street-cleaning inspired by practices observed in Singapore. To further the partnership, the Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to Minister Tan to attend the upcoming Global Investors Summit scheduled for November in Visakhapatnam. In response, Minister Tan expressed Singapore's keen interest in working with Andhra Pradesh in the fields of housing and subsea cables. He affirmed that both sides could jointly pursue initiatives in these areas. The Minister also mentioned Singapore's ongoing collaboration with the World Bank on green energy and housing-related programmes. Recalling his previous visit to Hyderabad and his earlier meeting with CM Naidu, Minister Tan expressed optimism about deepening bilateral cooperation. Tirumala, July 28 (UNI) Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar, director M Gopichand, and MLAs Yashaswini Reddy and Sridhar visited the Tirumala temple today and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara. Naidu was received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials at the temple entrance and later offered Theertha Prasadam after darshan. Later, speaking to the media, Naidu praised the quality and hygiene of the Anna Prasadam served at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba centre, calling it an inspiration for other temples. He stressed that offerings made by devotees should be used solely for religious and spiritual purposes, including the improving the facilities for pilgrims. He proposed that every village should have both a school and a temple—reflecting a balanced focus on education by the government and on spiritual infrastructure by religious bodies like the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Naidu also urged VIPs to limit their temple visits to once a year, allowing greater access for ordinary devotees. Chandrababu Naidu said he had come to Singapore to set the record straight and rebuild a transparent, investor-friendly environment, setting the tone for a crucial diplomatic and investment-oriented engagement with the Singapore Government on Day 2 of his official visit on Monday (July 28, 2027.) In a high-level meeting with Dr. Tan See Leng, Singapore's Minister for Manpower, Trade and Industry, Mr. Naidu openly acknowledged the setbacks investors from Singapore faced during the previous administration in Andhra Pradesh. He assured the Minister that his government is fully committed to creating a trustworthy and stable ecosystem for international investors. 'Our intention is not just to invite investments, but to restore credibility and ensure that those who believed in Andhra Pradesh in the past are treated with respect and fairness,' he said.
