Su From So grosses Rs 15 crore in 2nd weekend in Karnataka, crosses Rs 35 crore overall Bankrolled under the banner of Light Buddha Films, Su From So has been maintaining an excellent hold at the Karnataka box office. It collected Rs 20.8 crore in the first week of its release. Then, the JP Thuminad and Shaneel Gautham starrer earned Rs 3.8 crore on the second Friday and Rs 5.3 crore on the second Saturday. Now, the business of the Kannada movie stood at Rs 5.9 crore gross on the second Sunday, bringing its second weekend earnings to Rs 15.1 crore. The total gross collection of Su From So currently stands at Rs 35.9 crore. Arts training programme for Dalit students launched in Mysuru under SCSP and TSP scheme

For the first time, a six-month long training programme in classical music, light music, and folk music for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes was launched under the SCSP and TSP scheme in Mysuru. Minister for Social Welfare H.C. Mahadevappa, who is also the Minister in charge of Mysuru district, inaugurated the arts training programme for hostel students in Mysuru at a function organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture at at Kiru Rangamandira on Kalamandira premises in Mysuru on Saturday. Classes will be held three days a week, with each session spread over two hours. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahadevappa said that dance, art, literature, and music are among the most powerful mediums, capable of having a profound impact on society. 'These arts have naturally belonged to the oppressed communities, and our government is working to encourage and provide platforms for them,' he said. The initiative not only supports students in gaining proficiency across various fields, but also aims to culturally empower them and nurture cultural leadership that can influence society. 'Therefore, all students should make the most of this opportunity,' he said. He also appreciated the Department of Kannada and Culture for taking up the task of translating B.R. Ambedkar's book 'The Buddha and His Dhamma' into Kannada under the SCSP and TSP scheme. Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture K.M. Gayathri, who also spoke on the occasion, explained the concept of the arts training programme, and thanked the Minister for immediately approving the proposal and its funding. The programme was also initiated to keep hostel students away from mobile addiction and encourage their innate talents, she said. Joint Director of Kannada and Culture Department V.N. Mallikarjuna Swamy, Assistant Director M.D. Sudarshan, Project Coordination Officer of the Department for Welfare of Scheduled Communities K.M.
