Star Copper Expedites Sample Shipments from Drill Campaign

Company remediates airstrip to maximize capacity
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / June 24, 2025 / Star Copper Corp. (CSE:STCU)(OTC PINK:STCUF)(FWB:SOP) ('Star Copper' or the 'Company'), a critical mineral exploration and development company, is pleased to report on its drill campaign and related activities at its 100% owned 6,829-hectare (~16,875 acre) flagship Star Project in the 'Golden Triangle' of British Columbia.
Drillhole B (S-051) is targeting supergene copper and gold mineralization of the Star Fault and aims to build off historical drilling to further test the western extent of mineralization beneath the Star Fault at depth.
Drilling progressed beyond 375m of depth, at which time the Company elected to swap drill rod diameters from HQ (2 ½" diameter) to NQ (1 ⅞" diameter) to improve drilling efficiency and allow for deeper drilling. NQ rods are smaller and lighter than HQ rods, enabling for increased drill depth capacity without exceeding the rig's weight limitations. Additionally, the smaller diameter can increase drilling speed and potentially minimize torque.
Drilling has also intersected potassic mineralization over long intervals. Sample assay result will consequently be of great interest and the company is excited by the potential impact these showings represent.
Company CEO, Darryl Jones reports, 'We are extremely happy with the progress and resulting core mineralization. We anticipate completing this hole at the target depth of approximately 600 meters where a previous drill hole known as 'S-040" was terminated with 120m @ 0.36% Cu, 0.13 g/t Au1 . To date, core samples visually demonstrate that the supergene zone remains intact at depth (see Figures 1 & 2). We are extremely pleased that the core samples are both extensive and high quality. The samples are being expeditiously shipped for prompt analysis. We look forward to announcing assay results as soon as they become available.'
Star Copper aims to shortly move forward with Drillhole C (S-052) and plans to step out approximately 50 metres north of hole B (S-051) to test the extent of the supergene copper enrichment zone and evaluate the continuity of the mineralized domain to approximately 275 metres in depth. Of particular interest is the plan to intersect the 142 metres grading 0.43% Cu in hole S-037 1 . Deeper intercepts aim to test for structurally controlled gold enrichment, where prior results returned 12 metres at 2.33 g/t Au at approximately 650 metres at the bottom of hole S-037 1 .

Campaign Strategy
The fully funded 2025 campaign is focused on expanding the existing discovery at the multiple targets within the Star Project. The Company has targeted the Star Main, Star North, and Star East prospects. Drilling is targeting (i) the near-surface oxide zones, (ii) deep porphyry-style mineralization, and (iii) structures associated with the 'Star Fault' and 'Dick Creek Fault' with up to 4,000 meters amongst six primary drill holes (Holes A-F). The Star Main discovery contains an extensive, near-surface, supergene zone, and the current campaign (see May 27, 2025 news release ) was designed to test both the lateral and vertical continuity of mineralized zones previously identified from over $10 million in prior drilling and exploration programs.
Airfield & Camp Remediation
As the pace of air support activity has increased to meet the demand for fuel and equipment deliveries along with the anticipated increase in outbound sample shipments, the field crew undertook a proactive 'good stewardship of the forests' approach regarding clean-up and removal of legacy infrastructure and waste from the regional airstrip and Star Camp.
The Company mobilized a remediation team including a disposal dumpster provided by the Iskut Band Council transported to the Golden Bear Road access. Removal of legacy equipment and material included various redundant vehicles, as well as empty fuel barrels (transported to Whitehorse for proper disposal), old hoses, broken appliances, and batteries, all from historic projects and previous operators. The work was undertaken to expedite airfield operations, address legacy environmental liabilities and reduce on-site hazards and waste accumulation in compliance with reclamation objectives. (See Fig. 3).

AutoCanada stock sees year-to-date surge of 90% as BMO doubles its price target

AutoCanada ( shares hit their highest level in over three years on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday, fuelled by better-than-expected financial results and praise from Bay Street analysts. The stock has had a blistering run in 2025, up nearly 90 per cent year-to-date. The Alberta-based chain of auto dealerships operates 64 franchised lots in eight provinces, spanning 23 automotive brands. The company reported second-quarter results after Wednesday's trading session. While sales slipped for the quarter ended June 30, adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped to $64.4 million, versus $33.5 million booked in the prior year. 'This is an objectively much better-than-expected quarter,' National Bank analyst Maxim Sytchev wrote in a note to clients on Wednesday. Executive chairman Paul Antony said on Tuesday that AutoCanada is ahead on its cost-cutting plan. He estimates the company is on track to save $115 million in 2025, up from an original estimate of $100 million at the start of the year. On Thursday, Toronto-listed AutoCanada shares climbed as much as 15.8 per cent, bringing the stock to its highest level since early 2022. Shares have gained over 89 per cent year-to-date. The stock is up more than 120 per cent over the past 12 months In July, AutoCanada announced a plan to sell 13 'underperforming' dealerships in the U.S. to undisclosed buyers for $82.7 million. The company says these transactions are set to close in the second half of this year. AutoCanada also aims to sell four additional American dealerships as part of its exit from the U.S. market. On Tuesday, the company said it expects $115 million to $130 million in total net proceeds from the sale of its U.S. dealerships. RBC Capital Markets analyst Sabahat Khan figures the company will fetch $32 million to $47 million in net proceeds from the remaining dealership sales. 'We view the prospective sales price for the remaining U.S. dealerships positively,' he wrote in a research note on Thursday. BMO doubles price target on AutoCanada stock BMO Capital Markets analyst Tamy Chen doubled her price target on AutoCanada shares following Wednesday's financial results. She lifted her target to $40 from $20, while raising her rating to 'outperform' from 'market perform.' 'Despite the stock run, [its] valuation still appears reasonable,' Chen wrote in a research report. 'With two quarters of much better results, we have gained better visibility on AutoCanada's execution of its cost-reduction plan," she added. "Now, we are also prepared to see further runway from volume growth on this structurally better cost structure, and the eventual resumption of M&A.' RBC's Khan raised his price target on AutoCanada shares to $33 from $27, while maintaining a 'sector perform' rating. National Bank's Sytchev raised his price target to $36 per share from $28, while maintaining an 'outperform' rating. Jeff Lagerquist is a senior reporter at Yahoo Finance Canada. Exclusive-RBC, BMO planning sale of $2-billion Canadian payments venture, sources say

By Milana Vinn and David French (Reuters) -Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal have placed their Canadian payments joint venture up for sale, in a deal that may value the business as highly as $2 billion, four people familiar with the matter said. Moneris is one of the largest payment processors in Canada, handling one in every three business transactions in the country. It was founded in 2000 by the two banks, and offers digital, mobile, and in-store payment systems for about 325,000 merchant locations, according to its website. The owners are in the early stages of exploring a potential sale of Moneris, according to the people, who asked not to be named because the talks are private. Boutique investment bank PJT Partners, as well as investment bankers from RBC Capital Markets and BMO Capital Markets, are advising on the sale effort. Moneris generates nearly $700 million in annual revenue, so the sources estimated this could equate to a $2-billion valuation, or slightly below that amount. A sale is not guaranteed, and the owners could ultimately retain some or all of the business, the people added. BMO, Moneris, and PJT declined to comment. RBC did not respond to a request for comment. As the pace of digitization has increased in the North American payments industry in recent years, with the need to regularly spend capital to remain competitive, many banks have shed their payments businesses. They have found willing buyers in payments companies, which have been growing through mergers and acquisitions to boost geographic scale and product offerings, as well as private equity firms, which value the recurring fee revenue that payments businesses generate. Last month, Canada's TD Bank said it was forming a strategic partnership with Fiserv in relation to its Canadian merchant payments business. Sign in to access your portfolio

Journie Rewards Creates Life-Changing Experiences for Driving Academy Families

Financial Support, New Equipment and Unmatched Mentorship Highlight Summer to Remember Jack Klym celebrates win JDA meets Kyffin Simpson INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 14, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Through its work with the Journie Driving Academy, Journie Rewards is changing the lives of three Canadian children and their families by helping them pursue a career as a race car driver. Decklan Deonarine, Jack Klym and Nathan Reddish are speeding through their karting schedules across Canada this season in their new Journie Rewards branded firesuits and liveries. With additional financial support from Journie Rewards, mentorship from 17-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champions Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) and the trip of a lifetime last month to Toronto, JDA drivers are racing through a season they will never forget. To learn more about the JDA, visit Notes of Interest: Learning From Champions: Personally tailored mentorship programs provided by CGR are key to the success of JDA drivers. Whether its fitness programs provided through CGR's Human Performance Center, a beginner session on business best practices, or one-on-one time with Kyffin Simpson, driver of the No. 8 Journie Rewards Honda, and Bryce Aron and Niels Koolen, CGR's INDY NXT by Firestone drivers, the JDA drivers have learned a lot in a short amount of time. Periodic check-ins and year-long development continue to be a priority for the team as all three drivers approach the home stretches of their racing seasons. A VIP Toronto Weekend: All three JDA drivers attended the INDYCAR SERIES Indy Toronto weekend in July, getting a VIP experience courtesy of Journie Rewards. The drivers met Simpson in-person for the first time and cheered him on as he scored his first career INDYCAR podium in the race. The drivers also had a surprise meeting with Canadian motorsports legends Ron Fellows, James Hinchcliffe and Robert Wickens, all while getting a behind-the-scenes look at CGR's INDYCAR operations. An exclusive dinner downtown, complete with private racing simulator time, capped an incredible weekend in Canada's largest city. The Journie to Victory Lane: The JDA drivers have exceled on the track so far this season. Combining for nine wins, 11 poles and 22 podium finishes, the three drivers will work toward more wins and compete for championships as their seasons continue. Quoteboard: Dustin Klym, father of Jack Klym: "As parents, we viewed motorsport as an opportunity to develop our sons' individual abilities and character. Our goal was to give him the tools to reach beyond our family business, set and achieve his own goals. Inspiration and momentum are very powerful things, and this program delivers. The people at Journie Rewards and Chip Ganassi Racing are passionate about this program, and passionate about giving back to the next generation. We have built friendships and professional relationships that will carry Jack far into his future in motorsports. Thank you, Journie Rewards and Chip Ganassi Racing!" Kurt Reddish, father of Nathan Reddish: 'Being a part of the Journie Driving Academy has been a huge help in covering many of the karting expenses this year, especially since it's Nathan's first year in club racing. Without this support, it would have been much harder to afford team support and get the necessary seat time he needs to improve. One of the most exciting parts has been meeting and talking with the Chip Ganassi Racing team. Getting their perspective and tips on karting has really helped me understand more about what it takes to reach the next level. I don't think we would have received this kind of advice so early in Nathan's journey, and it's already made a big difference in how we approach race weekends. Nathan really feels like he is part of a team. This entire experience has been a dream come true for Nathan.' Clive Deonarine, father of Decklan Deonarine: 'Being part of the Journie Driving Academy has truly been life-changing for both Decklan and our family. Racing at a high level is an incredible opportunity, but it comes with costs that can be overwhelming for most families. The Academy's backing has taken a tremendous weight off our shoulders, allowing us to focus on Decklan's growth and performance instead of constantly worrying about how to fund the next step in his career. That support has opened doors to experiences we simply couldn't have accessed otherwise. It's also given him confidence knowing that a respected program believes in his talent enough to invest in him. For me as a parent, it's been a relief and a joy to be able to focus on supporting him emotionally and strategically, rather than being stuck in an endless financial juggling act. The Journie Driving Academy hasn't just eased the financial burden, it's accelerated Decklan's journey toward his dreams, given him invaluable experiences, and made this path feel sustainable and achievable for our whole family.' About Chip Ganassi Racing Chip Ganassi has been a fixture in the auto racing industry for more than 35 years and is considered one of the most successful and innovative owners in motorsports. Today, his teams include three Honda cars in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and two entries in INDY NXT by Firestone. Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) has won 24 championships and over 270 races, including six wins in the Indianapolis 500, eight Rolex 24 At Daytona victories, and wins in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
