Kevin Hart Jokes About Diddy Without Even Saying His Name
Kevin Hart didn't hold back any punches after delivering a joke about Diddy while hosting the 2025 BET Awards. During his opening monologue at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday evening, the comedian slid in a joke about the disgraced rapper, who is currently in custody while embroiled in a federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial. 'I'm shutting down the idea of after parties. No after parties tonight. None. Take your asses home after this,' Hart joked. He then teased that he decided to host the ceremony on a Monday because 'people have to go to work tomorrow.' 'No after parties. That's where shit gets slippery at those goddamn after parties,' he continued. 'We're learning a lot about people, ain't we?' Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, had become known for throwing lavish white parties in the '90s and 2000s. More recently, he has become known for alleged 'freak-off' sex parties involving his romantic partners and multiple sex workers. Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend, testified that Combs demanded many bottles of baby oil at the encounters. While Hart's joke garnered chuckles from the crowd, social media users on X, formerly Twitter, were left divided over the quip. Ewwww I'm sorry NOT Hart is not funny why would they let him open with a Diddy reference.
