St Enoch Centre helps fund Scotland team for Oslo event
More than 70 organisations from around the world will participate in the week-long event, which is a celebration of efforts to inspire and empower marginalised individuals through football.

The non-profit organisation offers free weekly football programmes and football-themed education to vulnerable adults and young people, with the aim of reducing isolation, building community, and creating life-changing opportunities.

The £2,000 contribution from St Enoch Centre, which was made up of customer donations, internal fundraising initiatives, and an additional donation from the centre itself, will be used to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, and kit for the Scottish players.
This will ensure the players are ready for the tournament.

"Homelessness is a very real issue here in Glasgow, and Street Soccer Scotland's efforts to support those most disadvantaged have a life-changing impact.
"We are now pleased to offer our support ahead of the team's trip to Oslo as they set out to represent Scotland on a global stage.
"We wish them all the best and will be cheering for the team right here in the Centre – Go team Scotland."
David Duke MBE, founder and CEO of Street Soccer Scotland, said: "All players of the Homeless World Cup have experienced homelessness or social isolation at some point in their lives.
"Representing Scotland at the tournament is a major achievement and a testament to how far they have come in terms of improved wellbeing, health, self-esteem and confidence.
"The donation from St Enoch Centre will make a huge difference to our team."
"As all our programmes are completely free, we rely heavily on fundraising to cover essentials like travel, accommodation and kit.

Hearts win again - is Bloom's vision taking shape?
"We've got a very good chance of at least being second this season."A collective eyebrow was raised across Scottish football when Heart of Midlothian shareholder Tony Bloom made that remark last sneered, some called him delusional, a few brushed the comments aside, and plenty filed them firmly in the 'Aye, right' drawer of the filing after six wins from six, 21 goals scored, only three conceded, and a decided buzz around Gorgie, is it time to dream for Hearts fans?Or is some caution required? Why are Hearts fans excited? Ryan Lumsden earns first tour top-20 at Nexo Championship
Like a fisherman lamenting those prize catches that got away, Lumsden rued a good one that slipped from his clutches. In this game, we're never done mulling over the what-ifs and the if-onlys. Despite his closing three-over 75, Anglo Scot Lumsden was reasonably chipper after an impressive week which ended with a share of 19th on a two-over aggregate. This was only the 28-year-old's ninth outing in a main DP World Tour event, and it was by far his best result. He certainly enjoyed the experience. Well, most of it. 'I had fun for 71 holes,' he said with a wry smile as he reflected on that calamity on the 14th. 'It was just such a privilege to be able to play on the main tour in Scotland on a course this good in Scottish conditions. You really can't ask for anything more. 'I put myself in position. I didn't play my best today but I am proud of how I have fought. Obviously it is a little gutting to have one bad shot followed up probably by a bad decision as that cost me three shots. 'There is a big difference in the outcome if I could have managed that a little bit better. But, in terms of the experience and the opportunity, I felt like I belonged here. I felt like I had a chance to finish well. 'But to not have my stuff and still finish where I did, I am very pleased and just enjoyed being here.' So, where did it all go wrong? We'll let Lumsden guide us through the tourist route he took to the 15th. 'I hit a really poor tee shot,' explained Lumsden, who earned around £20,150 for his efforts. 'I did not commit to my feel and just kind of swiped one left. I actually got very fortunate in a way as I got a good lie in the rough and thought I could get it to the front right of the green. 'The club just caught this little branch behind the ball and shut the face down. It popped out probably 15 yards short of the green in the thick rough, but the guys never heard it and I lost a ball. "It is what it is. Golf is a brutal, tough game. It could have been better, but those 71 other holes were pretty solid.' After his dalliance with the DP World Tour over the last few days it's back to the auld claes and porridge for Lumsden as he returns to the HotelPlanner Tour. Lumsden, runner-up in the 2017 Scottish Amateur Championship at Prestwick, was heading straight to Finland to continue his promotion push from the second-tier circuit. After a week of dining on the fine fare at the top table, he is keen to taste some more next season. 'The goal now is to really refocus and go and get a couple of wins on the board and take care of the card,' added Lumsden, who needs to finish in the top-20 of the HotelPlanner Tour's rankings to earn a step-up. 'I felt like I managed the game pretty well this week. I felt the game was good enough to compete out here. I did see that I need to work on my driving a little as I struggled with it over the past month or two and this is a driving heavy golf course. 'I know I wasn't quite dialled in enough with the driving, so that's something I am going to work on with my coach. But the rest of the game was there and it's good enough to hopefully win out here one day. 'This (the DP World Tour) is where I want to be and I think I am good enough to be out here. Getting a taste of it has really made me hungrier for more.' Lumsden's fellow Scot, Marc Warren, finished with a flourish to secure his first top-20 on the main circuit for a couple of seasons. The 44-year-old, with four tour wins on his cv, birdied five of his opening seven holes on his way to a closing 67 which propelled him 30 places up the leaderboard and into a tie for 19th. Perth's Daniel Young signed off with a 76 for four-over while David Law and Martin Laird both finished on six-over.
