"Googled Tralee vets. Rang one who refused to take her. Then rang Abbey Veterinary Centre on Church St who told me to bring her in. She peed all over my Rose of Tralee Festival briefs on the way there but vet Deirdre Cremins, the angel that she is, thinks she has a chance.

That win marked the end of her rivalry with Serrano, who she has fought three times since 2022. What comes next for Taylor is anybody's guess. It had been rumoured that the third Serrano bout would be her final ever contest, but weeks on from that win, Taylor has yet to make a definitive statement on her future. While her fighting career is shrouded in mystery, dad Pete shed light on her personal life as he confirmed that Katie was married after the undisputed super-lightweight champion was spotted wearing a wedding ring in the weeks leading up to the Serrano trilogy fight.
