RCMP are looking for a person wanted for catwalking their dirt bike while fleeing police in Fort McMurray on Sunday.
Mounties said officers saw the electric dirt bike rider driving the bike in a 'careless manner' on Powder Drive in the Timberlea area at about 5:50 p.m.
Officers tried to stop the rider, but RCMP said the person fled with 'complete disregard' for their own safety or the safety of other drivers and pedestrians and almost caused a crash.
The rider then drove into oncoming lanes of traffic before hopping the curb and 'catwalked' down the sidewalk along Powder Drive, RCMP said, adding that officers did not chase the rider due to the 'significant' risk to the public.
The rider is described as a young adult or youth wearing a black helmet and all black clothing. They were riding a black electric dirt bike with no licence plate.

It is illegal to operate off-highway vehicles on Fort McMurray roads (outside of the Abasand neighbourhood), sidewalks, urban trails and in parks and green spaces.
'Despite increased patrols and repeated safety information disseminated by RCMP on the dangers of driving off-highway vehicles in such a manner, Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to see an increase in these incidents,' RCMP said in a Monday press release.
Anyone with information can call RCMP or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck First responders recovered the body of a male who drowned in the lagoon in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., on Saturday. Emergency crews were first called to the area at 11:20 p.m. Friday, according to the Agassiz RCMP, who say the Harrison Hot Springs Fire Department and search and rescue volunteers also attended to look for the person. The search continued into the day Saturday and police asked people avoid the Harisson lagoon to leave room for emergency personnel. In a statement, authorities only described the deceased as male, saying they were withholding further details out of respect for his family. 'We offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the male,' the statement reads. Police said foul play is not believed to be a factor in the drowning.
