Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 launched at ₹1.35 crore
CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe
to its AMG range in India, priced at ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom). The launch follows the introduction of the CLE Cabriolet.
Design and features
The CLE 53 features the AMG Panamericana grille with vertical slats, flared wheel arches, quad exhausts, and 20-inch Y-spoke black alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. At the rear, it has a gloss-black diffuser and connected LED tail-lamps.
Inside, the model offers Nappa leather sports seats, AMG-specific upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel with drive mode selectors, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented MBUX infotainment display. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features include a Burmester 3D sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof. Drive modes include Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, and AMG Dynamics.
Performance and safety
The vehicle is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing 450 hp and 560 Nm. It uses a 9-speed automatic transmission and a fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The car can accelerate from 0–100 kmph in 4.2 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250 kmph, with the
AMG Performance Package
increasing it to 270 kmph.
Safety features include eight airbags, Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, PRE-SAFE functions, and a 360-degree camera. The CLE 53 is available in multiple colours, including Alpine Grey, Obsidian Black, Opalite White Bright, Spectral Blue, Graphite Grey Magno, Patagonia Red Metallic, Spectral Blue Magno, and Sun Yellow.

German tuner Vuk Manufactur has unveiled its boldest project yet, reworking the latest Mercedes-AMG C 63 S into a V8-powered super sedan. The current-generation C 63 S (W206) faced criticism at launch for swapping AMG's trademark V8 for a 2.0-litre hybrid four-cylinder, despite its impressive combined output. The factory car produces 469 bhp from its four-cylinder unit alone, paired with an electric motor for a total of 671 bhp. With the V8 conversion, enthusiasts anticipate a more traditional AMG driving experience with greater focus on engine sound and torque delivery.
