Dakota Johnson is serving Princess Diana and we love it!
Dakota Johnson is out here giving us major Princess Diana vibes, and honestly, it's the kind of energy we love to see. While promoting her upcoming romantic film Materialists , Dakota stepped out in New York looking effortlessly stunning in a sheer black dress. And the timing? Let's just say, it couldn't be more iconic. This comes shortly after news broke that she and Coldplay's Chris Martin have ended their relationship after being together for a whopping eight years. Is Dakota Johnson pulling a Diana moment?
Walking the streets of NYC on Thursday, Dakota looked like she meant business, but fashionably, of course. Her all-black outfit wasn't just a fashion choice, it felt symbolic. It instantly reminded fans of Princess Diana's famous 'revenge dress,' you know, the one she wore when Prince Charles' affair with Camilla came to light. Diana showed up in a jaw-dropping black number that basically said, 'Your loss, buddy.'
Dakota seems to be channelling that same bold, beautiful energy, elegant, composed, and radiating 'I'm doing just fine, thanks' energy. She was all smiles as she waved at fans and paparazzi outside The Greenwich Hotel, dripping in confidence and designer threads before heading off for more press duties.
This marks one of Dakota's first big public appearances since her split from Chris Martin. The two had been notoriously private about their romance, which allegedly included a secret engagement at some point. So when news of their breakup surfaced, it took fans by surprise, especially since they were seen looking totally in love at the Cannes Film Festival just a few weeks ago.
They were cuddly, cute, and all over each other on the red carpet, not exactly the kind of behaviour you'd expect from a couple on the rocks. While neither Dakota nor Chris has shared the reason behind the split, a source reportedly told PEOPLE that 'this time feels final.'
Despite the personal shake-up, Dakota is diving headfirst into work. She's currently promoting Materialists , a much-hyped romantic drama where she stars alongside heartthrobs Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. The film explores a love triangle, and judging by the buzz, fans are in for a wild, emotional ride.
Breakups are tough, but if anyone knows how to walk through one with grace and a killer outfit, it's Dakota Johnson.

How Meghan Markle's Perspective on Royal Family Rift Is Different From Prince Harry's
Prince Harry has been open about the continuing rift between himself and other members of the British royal family, including his father, King Charles, and older brother, Prince William. Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, moved to California in 2020 and issues over visiting the U.K. have arisen in relation to security concerns. This week, a source tells People that the couple has different perspectives on how to move forward. 'They're aware of everything going on in England, but they're being left out of the details—there's clearly no trust,' said the insider, adding that Meghan is 'focused on the future,' and 'is very business about it.' She remains firmly supportive of her husband, however, despite his own tendency to dwell on the widening gulf. But the Duchess of Sussex 'wishes her husband could feel less burdened by the past and more present in the life they've built together.' Charles has been receiving regular cancer treatments and is allegedly struggling with the idea of reconciliation. 'It's been difficult for him to even get proper updates about his dad,' the source explained. Harry has been requesting for years to have automatic police protection applied to his entire family so they can visit the country again, a privilege applied to working members of the royal family. They lost their appeal on the matter in April of this year. Charles and William's hesitation towards reconciliation is supposedly about 'trust' and the belief that heir interactions with the Sussexes may not remain private. The couple has shared intimate details of their lives in their popular Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and in Harry's memoir Spare, as well as a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. In a 2023 interview with The Daily Telegraph, Harry admitted he actually removed anecdotes from Spare after considering how it might divide him from his father and brother. 'The first draft was different,' he said. 'It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.' And there were some things he didn't 'want the world to know.' 'I don't think they would ever forgive me,' Harry added. 'This is not about trying to collapse the monarchy, this is about trying to save them from themselves.'

Olivia Munn reveals she ‘felt like an expectant father' while waiting for her daughter to arrive via surrogate
Olivia Munn knows that in the end it worked out exactly as it should. Although while the actress, 44, was waiting for the arrival of her second child, daughter Méi, now 8 months, via surrogate, she wasn't sure she felt totally connected. Munn, who also shares son Malcom, 3, with husband John Mulaney told People in an interview published Saturday, that waiting for Méi to be born 'was the first time I was like, 'Oh wait, is this what it's like to be an expectant dad?'' Olivia Munn / Instagram 'A lot of times people say, 'Oh, the dads don't really connect with the baby until it's right there in front of them,' ' she explained. 'The dads, they're not carrying the baby. I carried Malcolm, so I understood from the very genesis, like, okay, I've got a life in me. Your body is changing and your energy is changing and your hair is changing and everything's changing, so it feels very real all the time.' This time around, Munn and Mulaney, 42, opted for a surrogate after the 'Buddy Games' alum underwent a double mastectomy and hysterectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis. Advertisement 'Even though it all felt very real for me, and our surrogate and I spoke all the time and she'd send me videos, it was a little bit of, 'Oh wait, she's coming,'' Munn continued. 'I felt like an expectant father.' 'It was important to do it at that moment, but it was also scary because my type of cancer feeds on hormones, and there are a lot of hormone injections with IVF,' the 'Your Friends & Neighbors' star said about deciding to do an egg retrieval before her cancer surgeries. After the procedure, Munn shared she was able to retrieve seven eggs, with two of the embryos being 'strong enough to be tested for abnormalities and the gender.' I know this puts me at risk, but I just need you to support me,' ' Munn recounted. 'He said, 'Whatever you need.' ' The Hollywood vet's doctor then called and confirmed she had two healthy female embryos. As Munn put it, 'that was a sign for me everything was going to be okay.' Oliviamunn/Instagram And when it came to choosing a surrogate to carry their daughter, one thing in particular mattered most: 'The number one thing that I wanted in a surrogate was someone who was kind.' She added, 'I just wanted her to be kind, and I needed her to understand that this is a path that I had to go on. This is not a choice I would've made for myself.' 'The first thing I worried about was if I would be able to find somebody who would love and take care of my daughter as much as I would,' Munn went on. 'We were so lucky to find someone so kind who we bonded with so much.' 8 Olivia Munn shares pictures from her cancer surgeries. oliviamunn/Instagram 8 Olivia Munn opens up about her cancer journey. oliviamunn/Instagram Despite finding someone they trusted, 'The Daily Show' alum 'had a concern of 'Will my daughter know me?' ' Once their little one arrived, all worries washed away for the mom-of-two. Advertisement 'Méi would cry, and I was the only one who could get her to stop,' she said. 'I knew she knew me, and I knew her. She's got this stick-straight hair that I had when I was a baby. I think because I wasn't able to carry her, I really needed to see myself in her. I see myself in her so much.' 8 Olivia Munn shares snaps from home. oliviamunn/Instagram Looking at where her life is now, two years after receiving a life altering cancer diagnosis, Munn gushed: 'It's so crazy to think that I'm sitting here with two amazing babies. I'm just so happy and grateful, and I'm really proud of what I've been able to do. I didn't know how much strength I had inside me.' Elsewhere in the interview, the 'Attack of the Show!' vet admitted that she and her other half might not be entirely done having kids. The pair still have one viable frozen female embryo. The comedian said while on the SiriusXM podcast, 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name,' 'I always look back on her the when she was diagnosed in April [2023], through that whole year and go, 'She wasn't just courageous, but she was also so fun … like, we had so much fun.' ' Advertisement 'It's weird; I go through iPhone photos and I go, 'Oh that's you, me, and Malcolm in the backyard with the kiddie pool when he decided to just pour so many pebbles into the storm drain and clog it up and whatever it was,' and … that was 3 weeks after your lymph node dissection.' Mulaney noted that 'it wasn't just the courage of it. She also was just giving us — it's always just her greatest best self throughout it.'
