Torino Step up Chase for Zakaria Aboukhlal

Torino are stepping up efforts to sign Moroccan winger Zakaria Aboukhlal from Toulouse. According to Sky Sport Italia and Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A side have tabled an $8m bid, plus bonuses, for the 24-year-old winger with talks now underway between the two clubs. Aboukhlal, who scored seven goals and delivered four assists in 26 Ligue 1 appearances last season, is on the list of players expected to leave Toulouse this summer. Club president Damien Comolli confirmed the club are open to offers. 'We're leaving the door open for Zakaria Aboukhlal,' he said in a press conference. Wolves, Southampton and Rennes are also reportedly monitoring the player, though no formal bids have been submitted by the Premier League sides. Born in the Netherlands, Aboukhlal holds an EU passport and is under contract at Toulouse until June 2026. He joined the French side in 2022 from AZ Alkmaar for $2m. Torino director Davide Vagnati attended Saturday's friendly between Toulouse and RB Leipzig in Villingen-Schwenningen, reportedly to advance negotiations. Aboukhlal was absent from the matchday squad. Meanwhile, Torino are also in talks with RB Leipzig for a possible return of North Macedonia midfielder Eljif Elmas, who spent the last six months on loan with the German club. Aboukhlal's versatility and pace down the right flank are seen as key to Torino manager Marco Baroni's plans for the upcoming season. Tags: TorinoToulouseZakaria Aboukhlal

Trabzonspor Close in on Benjamin Bouchouari

Trabzonspor are edging closer to signing Moroccan midfielder Benjamin Bouchouari from AS Saint-Étienne, with negotiations between the two clubs reportedly advancing. According to Foot Mercato, ASSE received a $3 million bid earlier this week for the 23-year-old, which was swiftly turned down. The French club are said to be holding out for around $5 million. Turkish journalist Safa Can Konuksever claimed: 'Trabzonspor's latest offer reaches $3.5 million, including bonuses. The difference is now around $1 million. An agreement could be reached by the end of the week.' Bouchouari, who joined Les Verts from Dutch side Roda in August 2022 for $1.1 million, has one year remaining on his contract. He has not featured in any of Saint-Étienne's pre-season fixtures since the squad returned to training. The midfielder has played 96 matches for ASSE, 70 of them as a starter. Despite flashes of potential, he has struggled to establish himself in the side and deliver consistent performances fully. According to Kuzey Ekspres , both clubs are 'close to an agreement' and discussions are continuing. The Turkish side, who finished seventh in the Süper Lig last season, appear confident of landing the player. Transfermarkt currently values Bouchouari at $5 million. A move would allow ASSE to recoup a decent profit on the Moroccan midfielder, who was brought in shortly after the club's relegation to Ligue 2. With just a year left on his deal and limited progress in talks for a contract extension, Bouchouari's exit looks increasingly likely. 'Saint-Étienne will have to make a decision quickly,' one French football source said. 'They can't afford to lose him for free next summer.' As it stands, Trabzonspor remain the frontrunners, but Girona have also shown interest. The final outcome could depend on how far the Turkish club are willing to go financially. West Ham and Wolves in race for Amine Adli

West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Amine Adli this summer. The 25-year-old Morocco international, who is keen on a move to England, is valued at around £23m ($30.9m) by the Bundesliga side. Adli won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal with Leverkusen in 2023-24, contributing 10 goals and 12 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. However, his 2024/25 campaign was hampered by a broken fibula, which sidelined him for over three months. He returned in January but managed only two goals and two assists. French football journalist Julien Laurens reported: 'I'm told that Amine Adli is attracting interest from Premier League clubs. Wolves and West Ham are keen on the Bayer Leverkusen forward. He is keen on a move to England. His valuation is around £23m.' West Ham are looking to bolster their attack after selling Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham Hotspur for £55m ($73m). Wolves, who recently sold Matheus Cunha to Manchester United for £62.5m ($84m), are also in the market for a versatile forward. Adli, who has 23 goals and 24 assists in 142 games for Bayer Leverkusen, can operate across the front line and in midfield. He moved from Toulouse to Germany in 2021. Xabi Alonso praised the Moroccan during his time in charge at Leverkusen, saying: 'Amine shows hunger, intensity and he has that quality. If he can combine the lot consistently, we'll see what a good player he can be.' Leverkusen's sporting director Simon Rolfes added: 'Amine's very fast, has good technique, is extremely agile and skilful.' Both Premier League sides are monitoring the situation closely. While Wolves have struggled to compete financially this window, they are reportedly willing to allocate funds to sign Adli. West Ham, meanwhile, are yet to make an attacking addition to their senior squad. Adli, capped 15 times by Morocco, is under contract until June 2026.
