The national treasure who turns 99 this week has already recorded his scripts for the brand new natural history series.

Sir David, whose career spans eight decades will returning to BBC One this summer for another landmark natural history series, titled Parenthood.
The five-part series will showcase how parenthood in the animal kingdom is a high stakes game in which some animal parents must come up with extraordinary strategies to give their young a head start.
The synopsis reads: "From Orcas teaching their offspring to hunt Blue Whales to Hippo families navigating the terrifying African night.
"Parenthood is an adventure and just like us, animal parents can be caring, patient, dedicated, short-tempered and foolish.
"Elephant mothers will dedicate themselves to showing their calves where to find water.
"Cardinalfish fathers endure housing their fry inside their own mouths, whilst a lion pride adopts the cubs of a recently killed matriarch and raise them to become giant hunters."
BBC specialist factual commissioning boss Jack Bootle told The Mirror that Sir David has already recorded his carefully-worded scripts for all five episodes.
"This is a wonderful, warm, engaging and surprising series, made by some of the very best wildlife filmmakers in the world, and I'm thrilled Sir David is joining us again to narrate it,' he said.
Series producer and director, Jeff Wilson, speaking of the series said: 'The ultimate celebration of the joys and challenges of raising offspring in the natural world'.
He added: 'Silverback Films did a deep dive into the subject over 2.5 years, uncovering extraordinary new behaviours and jaw-dropping dramas using the world's best wildlife cinematographers and directors.
'We are incredibly proud that Sir David was on board with us to bring to the screen a landmark series that has something for everyone.
"Moments of heart warming tenderness, high stakes narrative , and a timely guide from a huge cast of unbelievably engaging cast of characters on how to navigate the complex world of Parenthood.'
Meanwhile, Sir David, has sadly stated that he is: 'nearing the end of his life.'
He makes the admission in his new show, Ocean, in which he looks at how important aquatic life is to our planet.
The feature length film sees him on a shoreline looking out to sea in what is widely expected to be his last location shoot for a TV show.
A TV insider said: 'They're two major moments but despite being associated with the BBC for most of his working life, they both feature in the documentary which is set to drop on Disney+.'
In the documentary, which airs on the streaming giant next month he is seen saying: 'When I first saw the sea as a young boy, it was thought of as a vast wilderness to be tamed and mastered for the benefit of humanity.
'Now, as I approach the end of my life, we know the opposite is true.
'After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea.'
The film shows Attenborough looking back at footage from 1957 of his first attempt at scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
Although he says we are 'almost out of time', Attenborough remains optimistic.
He tells how creating protected marine reserves where fishing is banned allows the ocean's eco-system to recover.

Charles 'won't make first move with Harry because of whispers from close circle'

Prince Harry's feud with his father King Charles has gone from bad to worse following Harry's extraordinary outburst in a BBC interview - and now palace insiders have revealed one of the reasons why the monarch is unlikely to make first move in repairing their rift Palace insiders have revealed one of the key factors that could be stopping King Charles from making the first move in reconciling with estranged son Prince Harry. The feud between father and son is believed to have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks after Harry gave an explosive interview to the BBC after losing another court battle over his security arrangements in the UK. In that interview, he confirmed that things had got so bad between him and his father, that the King, who is still having cancer treatment, will not speak to him and he does not know "how much longer my father has" left. It comes after Harry railed against his family in his memoir Spare, where he criticised his father, branded his stepmother Queen Camilla dangerous and claimed older brother Prince William physically attacked him. ‌ ‌ Some have suggested that if father and son are to get their relationship back on track, it should be the King to reach out and make the first move. However, a palace insider has told PEOPLE magazine one of the reasons why this has not been the case so far - and they claimed it is because those around the King have not "encouraged reconciliation". According to the publication, William has shown "no interest" in repairing the rift, Camilla "stays out of it" while even the King's most personal aide, private secretary Sir Clive Alderton is "unlikely to push for a personal outreach". Respected royal correspondent and author Valentine Low told PEOPLE of Charles: "There is not a good angel in his ear to say, 'Be a good dad and make the first move'." Talking about Harry's bombshell BBC interview, he added: "It wasn't meant to be an attack, but it would be seen as one. It makes Charles reach out even harder." In his bombshell interview after losing his security case at the Court of Appeal, Harry admitted: "Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things." And speaking previously to the Mirror, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward, said any apology from Harry for his actions in the past will be a long time coming, despite his plea for reconciliation. ‌ She said: "By now Charles is used to Harry's disloyalty and contradictions. But what he will not be prepared to put up with is his youngest son's stubborn conviction that he is always right. Harry's ego is so fragile he thinks the world is against him. He refuses to take responsibility for his actions. If he wants reconciliation, why does he still attack his family? "If he did say sorry to his father and those he has hurt, he would be admitting he was wrong. Harry has such a weak sense of self he appears incapable of doing this. Harry's stubbornness will almost certainly prevent him from bringing his wife and children to the UK. At least in the immediate future. "He said he realised he had upset the 'family' but never once offered to apologise. The King knows this. But he also understands that under Harry's accusatory exterior, he is extremely vulnerable." As King, Charles needs total trust. He is head of state and monarch and that has to come first as Charles vowed at his Coronation. He will be very sad it has come to this. But if he can't trust Harry, he has to avoid him until such time things change. If they ever do." Get Royal Family updates straight to your WhatsApp!

A change from the managerial rollercoaster! Wayne Rooney enjoys a day out at Alton Towers with wife Coleen and his two youngest sons

Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen took a step back from their working lives to enjoy a day out at Alton Towers with their two youngest sons to celebrate half-time. The former Plymouth Argyle manager is currently without a coaching position, but remains a popular pundit, most recently working with Gary Lineker and Co for the BBC 's coverage of the FA Cup final. Rooney was a genial presence in the punditry line-up, taking a joke from Lineker about his coaching career in good humour during Crystal Palace 's victory against Manchester City. Micah Richards had asked Rooney what he thought Oliver Glasner might discuss at half-time with his Eagles side 1-0 up - only for the former Match of the Day host to crack: 'His teams were never 1-0 up!' Rooney was quick to switch attention back to the game, but will no doubt be mulling his future in the dug-out ahead of next season. However, before the start of preparations for the 2025/26 campaign, Rooney was able to let loose with his family at the popular theme park. Coleen shared pictures of the family day out to her Instagram with the caption: 'Alton Towers is always a great half-term trip! We had a fantastic time as always... thanks for looking after us (Alton Towers)'. But as well as one or two wholesome pictures of the couple with nine-year-old Kit and seven-year-old Cass, Coleen also included pictures of herself and Rooney enjoying the rides, smiling while clinging onto the rollercoasters for dear life. Rooney managed to crack a smile throughout - even if his grimace couldn't match his wife's beaming grin - perhaps finding the twists and turns of the rollercoasters at the amusement park child's play after a spin on the managerial merry-go-round last season. Rooney started the season as manager of the Championship side but by the mid-autumn was imperiled in a battle to avoid relegation. The former Manchester United great was eventually sacked on New Year's Eve and replaced by Miron Muslic. Coleen, by contrast, has enjoyed a career resurgence, winning hearts as a runner-up on last year's iteration of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The influencer was also able to share her sense of 'relief' after Rebekah Vardy was ordered to pay her a £1.4million settlement following their years-long Wagatha Christie legal battle. Breaking her silence at the time, Coleen insisted that 'time and money should have been put to better use' in a scathing public message. She wrote: 'The ruling yesterday in my favour finally brings this claim to an end, it's a relief and brings closure for my family and I. 'Throughout this long process, I am grateful that the judgements have consistently gone my way. 'However, as I have always maintained this claim did not need to be made or run for as long as it did. 'The time and money should have been put to better use. 'I want to thank my legal representatives, management, friends and family for their guidance and constant support. 'Thanks also to the public and many well wishers who have been in touch with such kind messages. 'This episode is not something I ever wanted in my life however I am thankful for the way my family and team have dealt with it. We look forward to moving on with our lives.' Coleen must also pay Vardy a total of £135,097.50 in costs under the terms of court orders from 2024, which will be set off against what Rebekah must pay.
