Billie Eilish's Album Surges A Year After It First Became A Bestseller

Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft surges back into the U.K. top 40 sales charts, rising to No. 40 ... More on both the Official Physical Albums and Albums Sales lists. Just over a year after Hit Me Hard and Soft, Billie Eilish's latest album, debuted on charts in the United Kingdom, the project is suddenly rising again. The full-length largely hasn't disappeared since its arrival in the spring of 2024, but at the moment, the Grammy-nominated set is climbing on multiple tallies. It even manages to return to one as it becomes a bestselling release across a variety of formats once more.
Purchases of Hit Me Hard and Soft Surge
Sales of Hit Me Hard and Soft have clearly grown in the U.K. recently, as Eilish's collection returns to the top 40 on a trio of lists focused solely on purchases. Hit Me Hard and Soft rises more than 20 spaces on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales charts, landing, coincidentally, at No. 40 on both at the same time. Eilish also reenters the Official Vinyl Albums ranking at No. 33 with her 2024 effort.
Sales Drive the Album Higher
All those purchases help Hit Me Hard and Soft climb a single spot on the Official Albums chart, which ranks the most consumed projects in the nation. Sales are largely to thank, as the title drops slightly on the Official Albums Streaming ranking, dipping just one space from No. 19 to No. 20.
Hit Me Hard and Soft's Lifespan on the Charts
Hit Me Hard and Soft has now spent 58 weeks on all but one of the tallies in the U.K. where it can currently be found. The set has only missed that mark on the Official Vinyl Albums chart, where it's now up to 45 frames as it returns.
Happier Than Ever Rises Again
Sales of two of Eilish's full-lengths are growing in the U.K., as Happier Than Ever also jumps on the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales rankings, appearing at Nos. 64 and 66, respectively. Last week, the singer-songwriter's sophomore studio effort appeared below the No. 80 mark.
Billie Eilish's Catalog May Continue to Climb
Eilish's entire catalog may continue to grow in the U.K. as she is about to touch down in England for a string of shows. The singer is preparing for half a dozen dates at The O2 Arena in London, and then four nights in Manchester before heading to Dublin, Asia, and back to the United States for another leg.

Noel Gallagher's One-of-a-Kind Jaguar MKII Convertible Finds a Buyer

Noel Gallagher's One-of-a-Kind Jaguar MKII Convertible Finds a Buyer originally appeared on Autoblog. Few classic cars flaunt British suave as well as a Jaguar. But the 1967 Jaguar MKII Convertible owned by Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher takes things to the next level, thanks to its story and unique character. While Jaguar's recent sales have struggled to keep pace in a changing market, this car reminds us of the marque's timeless appeal. Commissioned in the 1990s by Gallagher himself, it blends the elegance of 1960s Jaguar design with tasteful rock and roll upgrades. Today, this rare convertible is under offer, with a buyer's bid accepted and the sale moving forward. A Rock Star's Custom Dream Car Back in the mid-90s, when Oasis was dominating the music scene, Gallagher decided it was time to get behind the wheel himself. Despite not having a driver's license at the time, he still craved a car tailored to his needs. So he consulted with Jaguar specialist Vicarage to transform a Jaguar MKII sedan from 1967 — the same year he was born — into a one-of-a-kind convertible. The two-year project involved removing the rear doors and lengthening the front doors, turning the four-door sedan into a sleek two-door convertible. Gallagher requested modern touches like a fully electric folding roof, power steering, electric windows, and an automatic transmission, making the car much easier and more comfortable to drive than the typical MKII. Ironically, Gallagher never took the car out for a spin himself. Instead, this wife did once in a blue moon. Stored Away But Never Forgotten Most of its life, this Jaguar was carefully stored away, but it still caught the public eye now and then. It appeared in a music video for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, driven by actor Matt Smith, best known for his role on Doctor Who. Then, in 2022, Jaguar Land Rover Classic acquired the car and showcased it during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, with iconic model Twiggy riding in the back seat. From music video star to royal celebration guest, these appearances helped cement the car's status as more than just a collector's piece, but as a British cultural icon, too. Quintessentially British Finished in glossy black paint with a rich red leather interior and chrome wire wheels, this Jaguar is one of the poshest cars money can buy. And thanks to its origins as a sedan, it still comfortably seats four adults along with their luggage. Noel Gallagher's Jaguar isn't just another low-mileage garage queen; it's a symbol of a moment in British history, bridging '90s rock royalty and royal tradition. Now that it's under offer, this one-of-a-kind MKII Convertible is ready to continue its story with a new owner who will appreciate its unique heritage. If you have to watch one Disney+ movie this August 2025, stream this one

Pixar is not what it used to be. The animation studio was once an absolute powerhouse with both critics and at the box office, but more recently, its track record has been more checkered. This makes it the perfect time to watch Wall-E. The movie, which became a phenomenon after its release in 2008, remains as sadly relevant as ever and might just be the pinnacle of what Pixar is capable of as a studio. The amazing movie follows an abandoned robot that collects trash on Earth. Here are three reasons to check it out. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on HBO Max, and the best movies on Disney+. It features some of Pixar's best animation Although Wall-E is almost 20 years old, it still features some of Pixar's best animation. While CG animation has become the dominant form, it doesn't always age all that well as the technology continues to advance. Wall-E is something of an exception to that rule, in part because so few of the things that it animates are familiar to us. Even all these years later, Wall-E is still a remarkably beautiful movie and one that wouldn't feel out of place in today's animation landscape. The first 30 minutes are a remarkable achievement Perhaps the most impressive thing about Wall-E is its opening 30 minutes, an almost wordless section of the film in which we meet the titular robot and watch him go about his normal routine. Because this movie is primarily about robots that can only say one phrase, it's remarkably light on dialogue for a movie that's ostensibly aimed at children. It's entirely possible to watch these robots without even noticing that there's no dialogue in them. They're gripping enough to work without ever feeling like a gimmick in the slightest. It's ultimately a hopeful movie One of the fascinating things about Wall-E is that, more than 15 years after its release, everything the movie is about feels more relevant than ever. This is a movie in which humanity has abandoned Earth because of a climate catastrophe and, in the process, turned basically everything about their lives over to machines. The movie's final moments, however, are about humanity reasserting control over its own destiny and realizing that it cannot allow itself to become totally controlled by machines or anything else. Wall-E is a reminder that we are never too far gone to rebuild, and the first step is always just to try. You can watch Wall-E on Disney+.
