Kris Leitch, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene after the blue and white Sherco 290 motorbike he had been riding crashed on Main Street in Auchinleck.
The incident occurred at about 12.25am and no other vehicles were involved.

Inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and officers have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson said: 'Our thoughts remain with Kris's family and friends as they come to terms with their terrible loss.
'Our inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and we are asking anyone who saw the motorbike prior to the crash, or has any dashcam footage, to please contact police.
'We are also keen to speak with anyone who attended the scene to assist but did not remain to provide their details to officers.'

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0082 of May 24, 2025.
The road was closed for about six hours while investigations were carried out.

Emergency services attended and the 34-year-old male driver of the Civic and his 53-year-old female passenger were taken to hospital. The woman's injuries are described as serious, while the driver was later discharged. Police said the 70-year-old female driver and 92-year-old male passenger of the Mercedes were also taken to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries. The A952 was closed for around 10 hours to allow collision investigation work to be carried out at the scene, a few miles south of Fraserburgh. It reopened shortly after midnight. A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. Sergeant Pete Henderson said: 'Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash. 'We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to come forward. 'And we would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area around the time of the crash to review it and contact us if it could assist with our investigation.' Motorists travelling in the area at the time experienced delays due to diversions onto surrounding rural roads while the closure was in place. Recovery teams later removed the vehicles involved and cleared debris from the carriageway before the road reopened. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1723 of August 11, 2025.

Tributes to 'loving step-dad and grandad' who died in A98 crash

Tributes have been paid to a 'loving step-dad and husband' who died in a crash on the A98 near Buckie. Alistair J Stewart, from Ardersier, died following a crash at Arradoul at around 6.50am on Monday. The incident involved a blue Renault Megane and an ambulance. Emergency services attended, and the 36-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr Stewart's family has paid tribute in a statement released via Police Scotland saying: 'He was a welder at Forsyths Buckie, he was born in Inverness in November 1988 and then brought up in Ardersier and attended Culloden Academy. He attended Global Highland Skills Academy to be trained as a welder. 'He married Mikaela in July 2022 following an 11-year relationship and became a stepdad to Grace and Leon and Grandad to baby Finn. 'He was a loving husband. Alistair was a beloved son to Grace and Neil Stewart, of Ardersier. He is a much loved brother to Mhairi and Alan, and caring uncle to Rhys, Eryn, Owen and Jack, he'll be sorely missed by us all'. Two male paramedics and the male patient from the ambulance were taken to Dr Gray's Hospital and Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment. Officers said none of their injuries are thought to be serious. Enquiries into the crash are ongoing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
