Left-handed pitcher Dylan Loy (4-0) completed his second season at Tennessee in 2025.
The 6-foot, 208-pound sophomore appeared in 33 games, including one start, for the Vols during the 2025 campaign. He recorded 36 strikeouts, two saves and a 3.97 ERA in 34.0 innings.
Loy is listed on Orleans' roster for the 2025 Cape Cod Baseball League season. Former Vol Kyle Serrano is also listed as an assistant coach for the Firebirds.
The Cape Cod Baseball League was founded in 1885 and is a collegiate summer league located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
Ten teams compete in the Cape Cod Baseball League, divided into East and West divisions. In 1985, the Cape Cod Baseball League became the first collegiate summer league to use wood bats.
The 2025 season will begin June 14 and is slated to conclude Aug. 3. Orleans' first contest will take place June 14 versus Cotuit. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EDT at Eldredge Park in Orleans, Massachusetts.

Tennessee is making recruiting efforts toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to three-star safety Zayvon Miller. "Extremely blessed to say I've received an offer from the University of Tennessee," Miller announced. Advertisement The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect is from Huguenot High School in Richmond, Virginia. 247Sports ranks Miller as the No. 38 safety in 2027 and the No. 11 player in Virginia. East Carolina was the first school to offer him a scholarship on Nov. 12, 2023. Transfer pitcher who recorded four strikeouts against Tennessee baseball commits to Vols Tennessee baseball received a transfer commitment on Wednesday. East Tennessee State pitcher Brady Frederick announced his commitment to the Vols. "Go Vols," he announced. In 2025 as a sophomore, Fredrick (9-2) recorded four saves, 81 strikeouts and a 2.55 ERA in 81.1 innings for the Buccaneers. He earned Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Southern Conference honors. During his first season with East Tennessee State in 2024, Fredrick appeared in seven games, pitching five innings and recording three strikeouts. He is from Bearden High School (Knoxville, Tennessee). During his high school career with the Bulldogs, he was a two-time all-district player and was the league's Silver Slugger Award winner. Frederick was named to the ETBCA's All-State Team, receiving first-team honors. He also earned a diploma of distinction from Bearden. East Tennessee State defeated the Vols, 7-6 in 10 innings, on March 18 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Frederick pitched 3.2 innings against Tennessee, totaling four strikeouts in the contest. First-round tee time announced for Tennessee's Lance Simpson at 125th U.S. Open The 125th U.S. Open will take place, Thursday-Sunday, at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Oakmont Country Club is 7,342 yards and a par 70. Tennessee redshirt junior Lance Simpson qualified for the 125th U.S. Open. He qualified after a -8 performance in sectional competition May 19 at Bent Tree Country Club, in Dallas, Texas. Simpson will tee off Thursday at 8:57 a.m. EDT from hole No. 10 in the first round. He will be paired with Zach Bauchou and Jackson Buchanan. Simpson will compete as an amateur. In 33 tournaments at Tennessee, he is averaging 71.48 per round. Simpson's lowest round is 65, while his highest round is 81 as a freshman. In three seasons with the Vols, he has recorded six top 10 and 17 top 25 finishes. Simpson is from Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee. Bryson DeChambeau is competing for a second consecutive and third overall U.S. Open golf championship in 2025.
