Where is Yotelair?
You can't get much closer to Gatwick Airport that Yotelair - the hotel is one floor below the main terminal.
It is just around the corner from the airport shuttle too, so it is ideal for both North and South Terminal departures
What is the hotel like?
The airport is, as to be expected - compact, being not much more than a base.
However, it doesn't feel too cramped, with bright lighting lining the corridors to show you the way to your rooms.

The hotel has also recently launched their £15 'Slayover Concierges' kit in collaboration with Gillian Anderson's wellness drinks brand, G Spot which can be purchased at the hotel.
There are three to choose from - the Moment of Pause kit pillow sprays and G Spot Soothe; Rest & Reset kit with eye mask, vitamin gummies and G Spot Protect; and Power Up Kit, with protein balls, face masks and G Spot Lift.
What are the rooms like?
The rooms felt more like being in a spaceship pod that an airport hotel.
Each of the rooms bizarrely had their main window facing out to the corridor, although thankfully there were blinds for privacy.

I certainly had fun waiting for my friend to arrive, only to be able to wave to her from my bed through the massive panes of glass.
Like other Yotel hotels, the beds can go from upright to fully flat with the click of the button, maximising the space.
I don't recommend lying it down until you are ready for bed, as it takes up most of the room.
But the classic white and purple hued 'pod' had all you need - side tables, charging ports, a full length mirror and even a foldaway table and chair underneath the huge TV.

Another thing to be aware of is the bathroom, which is also half wall, half glass.
There is a privacy 'curtain' in front of the toilet and shower (with towels and Urban Jungle toiletries provided) but make sure you are staying with someone you are already close to.
You can choose from standard singles to premium Queen rooms, with some of them even having bunkbeds.
Rooms start from £105 a night. Check in from 6pm, check out at 9am.

I was impressed with the Papa Johns pizza that they delivered to my door, with the tomato-filled crusts extremely gooey for just £7.
You can also order continental breakfast for £7.95, to have their or to go which includes cereal bars, yoghurt, croissants fruit and a hot drink.

Gritty thriller set in Northern Ireland branded 'mesmerising'

Crime drama enthusiasts can catch Gillian Anderson in one of her most acclaimed performances, as she takes on the role of a detective in a smash-hit Netflix series. The gripping thriller, which first graced BBC screens in 2013, features Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson alongside Jamie Dornan as serial murderer Paul Spector. Working as a Met Police officer, Stella is temporarily assigned to the Police Service of Northern Ireland to evaluate the advancement of a murder inquiry, with the serial killer remaining at large. The programme garnered glowing reviews from critics and boasts a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its debut season. The Guardian placed it as the tenth finest television programme of 2013. Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan in The Fall (Image: BBC) The series in question is The Fall, which follows Stella's squad as they work relentlessly to construct a case and apprehend Paul. The psychological cat-and-mouse drama earned high acclaim from Anderson, who lauded writer Allan Cubitt. Regarding what attracted her to the series, she remarked: "How good the writing was - Allan is a talented writer. "I don't know how he manages to infuse so much of each character within the scene and the dialogue without description; it comes out in their personalities and their actions which is a hard thing for writers to do. "He just intrinsically knows how to do that so the characters are unique and individual. That was it first and foremost. "As an actor, anytime you are told something was written with you in mind it adds to your ego, but also to the enticement of it. It makes you prick up your ears." ACC Jim Burns (John Lynch) with DSI Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson) (Image: Helen Sloan) Fans have been sharing their thoughts on the series, with Dina Brown posting on Google Reviews: "What a shocker of a series. Not for the faint of heart, its brutal but very well acted. "It starts out slow, but trust me stick with it, because it becomes an amazingly shocking ride. "To see Gillian Anderson in this role like this was such a detour from what we have come to know her for. My goodness her acting has matured, and she plays the part perfect. "The nemesis to her part was such a good actor that I found myself despising him as if the events were real. Fans of hardcore crime thriller will love this i think. I know I did." Wendy Bardsley also chimed in: "A mesmerising show. The characters are fascinating, even the bit players and the cliche psychiatrist, there are also well written female roles. "A lot is covered in terms of trauma, anger and what is good and evil. Lots of detail on procedures that not everyone will enjoy but I found fascinating. "It is a great crime thriller with fast and slow action and some shocking explosions of rage and violence. Brilliant cast, even the children were good." The Fall is available to stream on Netflix

I stayed at the boutique Manchester hotel built into a shipping warehouse with Indian restaurant and very cosy rooms

It has one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in SUITE DEAL I stayed at the boutique Manchester hotel built into a shipping warehouse with Indian restaurant and very cosy rooms THE Forty-Seven Hotel is a haven of luxury in the very centre of Manchester. Here's everything you need to know about the hotel, from how much rooms cost to what to eat at the restaurant. 4 Here's what it is like to stay at Forty-Seven in Manchester Credit: 4 The hotel has 32 rooms over five floors Credit: Where is the Forty Seven hotel? At Forty-Seven Peter street, located in a former shipping warehouse, the bold and contemporary interior design patterns contrast the more traditional heritage architecture surrounding the hotel, found in the heart of Manchester. The hotel is situated just a 6 minute drive from Manchester Piccadilly station. What is the hotel like? The boutique hotel is in a Grade II-listed Lancashire House on the bustling Peter Street. It's within easy reach of the best Manchester has to offer, from art and culture to food and nightlife. Read more on hotels INN AND OUT The Holiday Inn, Cambridge hotel review What are the rooms like? There are 32 rooms spread over five floors. I enjoyed a Cosy King room with a king-sized bed. Decor features deep greens and striking furnishings, with teals set against bare brick. Rooms are compact and cosy. The bed was one of the comfiest we've ever slept in. Other thoughtful touches include a high-spec espresso machine and a hidden ironing board that folds out a full-length mirror. All rooms provide specially appointed luxury fittings to compliment the modern furnishings, making an alluring space to call home for the night. Rooms range from the Cosy King Room to the Forty-Seven Suite, starting from £129 per night. For more information, click here. What is there to eat and drink there? Check out Ashas's- a modern, upmarket Indian restaurant on the hotel's ground floor that is a Manchester favourite. You'll find traditional Indian cuisine plus more modern takes. Choose between a pre-theatre set menu, a la carte or a tasting menu for a fine dining experience. Be sure to stay for breakfast- an Indian twist on the classics. I had a tasty full English with egg and bacon wrap, spicy sausages and crispy hash browns. 4 The Indian restaurant is a must visit Credit: What else is there to do at the hotel? The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Manchester's buzzing nightlife. Grab a drink at the Peterman, the hotel's cosy cocktail lounge, before heading off to explore the city. You're just a few minutes walk from 20 stories, the city's best rooftop bar, N64 retro arcade bar and Schofield's, which features in a list of the world's 50 best bars. Peter street has something for everyone, home to exhibitions and late night gigs, brilliant shopping and architecture brimming with culture. It is also trademarked as a hotspot for foodies, with its hip bars and fine-dining restaurants to cosy coffee shops. Is the hotel family-friendly? The hotel can accommodate families, with two bedroom suites available, and a children's menu provided upon request at Asha's restaurant. But Forty-Seven generally lends itself to more adult clientele as it aims to provide an elevated and sophisticated experience for its guests. Is there access for guests with disabilities? Yes, the Forty-Seven is an accessible hotel, providing accommodations and facilities for those with disabilities. Looking for a place to stay? For more hotel inspiration click here.
