Chloe Peterson's prediction: Storm 88-76
"The Storm have been firing on all cylinders, handing Minnesota its first loss of the season and taking down New York on Sunday. They have three players averaging 14 or more points per game — Skylar Diggins, Gabby Williams, and Nneka Ogwumike — and their bench has been productive.
"Indiana has led at halftime in its past two games, but seemed lethargic in the second half and unable to sustain those leads. Seattle is aggressive and high-energy, and Indiana may not be able to keep up."
10 p.m. ET Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell lead Fever over Storm as Caitlin Clark scores a season-low six points

After a rough couple of games, the Indiana Fever capped off a three-game road trip with a much-needed win, cruising to a 94-86 win over the Seattle Storm in front of a rowdy full house at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena. Indiana led by as many as 19 points in the matchup, as the Storm struggled to cut into the lead. The Fever were without DeWanna Bonner, who has been absent for weeks amid reports that she wants out of Indiana. And, for much of the game, Indiana was playing without much fire from star guard Caitlin Clark, who put up a season-low six points. Advertisement It was a physical game, with bodies hitting the floor throughout the matchup. Things got chippy from the jump — in this case literally, as the game started with a scrappy jumpball that went Indiana's way. Then, after only two minutes of play, Aliyah Boston was called for a flagrant foul (specifically, a closeout violation) after blocking Nneka Ogwumike's landing on a made three-pointer. The two teams traded leads throughout the first half, with some impressive defense on both ends. But Indiana pulled ahead slightly, picking up a six-point lead at halftime. Then, the Fever came out of the locker room swinging, pulling ahead by as many as 19 points in the second half. Halfway through the third, Indiana nearly got slapped with another flagrant: Natasha Howard struck Ogwumike in the face while reaching for the ball, leading Ogwumike to stay down for several moments before walking off, holding a towel to her face. After review, the foul remained a common foul; Ogwumike returned to the court to take her free throws and stayed in the game. Advertisement But, even with Ogwumike on the court, the Storm started to fall apart. Seattle, who went 1-10 from beyond the arc in the first half, made matters worse with 17 (forced and unforced) turnovers. Although back-to-back three-pointers from Erica Wheeler, who finished with five of Seattle's eight threes, suddenly gave the Storm some momentum in the final minutes, it was enough to overcome the Fever's lead. Indiana, meanwhile, kept trucking. Boston finished with 31 points and eight rebounds; Kelsey Mitchell finished with 26 points. Lexie Hull contributed a double-double, with a career-high-tying 15 points — including two key threes — and 11 rebounds. Missing in all of it was Clark, who put her worst performance this season, and one of the worst of her career. Clark went 0-6 from three, and 3-13 from the field overall. She did finish with nine assists, put also put up a game-high eight turnovers. Advertisement Tuesday marks just the sixth time that Clark has been held to single-digit points. Clark's last strong performance was the Fever's fiery win over the Connecticut Sun that turned into a brawl leading to multiple flagrant fouls and fines. Since then, Clark has struggled: She scored 11 points in Indiana's loss to the Golden State Valkyries, and scored 11 again versus the Las Vegas Aces.

Caitlin Clark Sends Clear Message on Indiana Fever After Loss to Aces

Caitlin Clark Sends Clear Message on Indiana Fever After Loss to Aces originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever suffered their second straight loss on Sunday, falling 89-81 to the Las Vegas Aces. Advertisement Just like their loss against the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday, Caitlin Clark and the Fever led in the second half against a team with a sub .500 record, only to give the game away late. Indiana ends the week with a 6-7 record, including a 2-4 mark on the road. Across the back-to-back losses, Clark went a combined 1-for-17 from three-point range and turned the ball over 14 times. When questioned about the pattern of giving games away, the 23-year-old guard gave her honest assessment on where the Fever are as a team. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) during the during their game against the Las Vegas Peltier-Imagn Images 'I feel like we're really close to being really good," Clark said with a smile in the postgame press conference in Las Vegas. "That's what's been frustrating about these few losses.' Advertisement "For us today, I think this is much different than the Golden State loss," she explained. "Golden State, we just got straight up outplayed and out-hustled. Tonight we did things really well for a good portion of the game... down the stretch we just couldn't find a way to get it done." Three of the Fever's seven losses — against the Atlanta Dream, New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun — have come in one-score games. The Fever have also managed to beat three of the teams they lost to in their second matchup of the season. It will be a quick turnaround before another prove-it game for the Fever, a showdown with the Seattle Storm on the road Tuesday night. Advertisement They then wrap up the busy stretch of games with a back-to-back against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday at home and the Dallas Wings on Friday on the road. After that, it will be even more clear how close the Fever are to Clark's assessment that they can still be "really good." Debate Erupts After Indiana Fever Salary List Surfaces Online

Debate Erupts After Indiana Fever Salary List Surfaces Online originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever made significant changes to their roster this past offseason after finishing 20-20 and getting swept in the first round of the 2024 WNBA playoffs. Advertisement With a cornerstone player in Caitlin Clark locked in for years to come, the team aimed to add the right pieces to contend for a championship as soon as this season. The Fever brought in DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sydney Colson and Brianna Turner through free agency, acquired Sophie Cunningham via trade and drafted Makayla Timpson. But after starting the 2025 WNBA season at just 6-7, fans wanted to revisit the salary breakdown for each player. Here's what it looks like. It's worth noting that the Fever have been without Clark, Cunningham and even head coach Stephanie White for several games. Regardless, the list of salaries that was posted sparked debate among fans. "This may be unpopular, but in my opinion, Bonner is overpaid for what she has produced," one fan said. "And Hull is underpaid for the amount of hustle and effort she plays with." Advertisement "Robbery. I hope they make a lot of money on the side. Most could have made more using their college degree," another wrote. "Think about it, Lexie has an engineering degree from Stanford." "Not disagreeing with you at all, but players like Lexi make a lot of money with sponsorships, etc, on social media," added another. "Of course know CC is rolling in the dough, but even some of the lesser-known (not loving this phrase but can't think of anything better) players can make decent money." It's wild to me how so much speculation on this sub doesn't account for the realities of offseason trading, and the limits the team faced," one said. "The Fever have had a rough start with injury and other circumstances. They basically haven't had the whole team together and healthy from Day 1." "I just don't like how the new free agents fit the team," added a fan. "They haven't raised the levels of the front office could have done more at the cost of losing more assets for the future." Advertisement "Honestly I wanted improvement from the squad and I am not seeing it," said another. "Howard being slightly better than Smith isn't much of a win." Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22).Lucas Peltier-Imagn Images Natasha Howard and DeWanna Bonner are two players who haven't quite lived up to their price tags so far. Howard, Indiana's second-highest-paid player, entered Tuesday night ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game, down from the 17.6 she averaged last season with the Dallas Wings. Bonner's situation is even more concerning. She came into Tuesday averaging just 7.1 points per game, which ranks seventh on the team. As the Fever's third highest-paid player, that's a big drop from the 15.0 points per game she posted last year with the Connecticut Sun.
