Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16, Episode 1 Recap: Welcome to the New Atlanta
Since then, the bigwigs at Bravo put on their thinking caps and spent as much time as they needed to get RHOA just right. We all wanted to trust and believe that Bravo could restore the once glorious franchise, but then a nasty little revenge porn scandal threatened to send Season 16 into a tailspin.
Despite the controversies, the premiere has arrived. Bravo made us wait all of this time, but was it worth the wait? We certainly think so. Keep reading for our full rundown on Real Housewives Atlanta Season 16, Episode 1, 'Welcome Back Peaches.'
In the RHOA Season 16 premiere, we hopped on Shamea's elevator and got introduced to her fabulous circle of friends. Meanwhile, her bestie Porsha found herself caught in a sticky situation thanks to a legal threat from her estranged husband. The stress was so serious that she had to go to a strip club to decompress! By the end of the episode, we got a glimpse into Season 16's first feud.
If you thought the RHOA Season 16 reboot was going to be all about Porsha, you couldn't be more wrong. Of course, she's a big part of this, but the premiere wasted no time establishing that it's Shamea who is the nucleus of this group.
In the first five minutes of the episode, Shamea introduced us to her $9 million home, which is outfitted with more elevators than your local mall. If you wanted wealth out of this reboot, Shamea's got it covered. She even gave the house a name, Sterling Hall, so we can add this to the map of Bravo landmarks.
As a longtime RHOA watcher, it feels a little shocking knowing that Shamea was just running around as Porsha's sidekick this whole time. However, she made it clear in this premiere that she earned this promotion from second fiddle to main character.
While showcasing hr multimillion-dollar house, which was allegedly paid for through her husband's HVAC work, she explained her connections to the original cast and the new friends she wants to introduce at her upcoming birthday party. It has Housewives written all over it, and that's where Atlanta's new chapter begins.
Drew spent her year away from the cameras adjusting to life without Ralph. She's also been getting oddly close to Porsha's ex, Dennis McKinley, the Hot Dog King. She claims it's because he's helping her with her music.
Kenya showed up at Drew's house ready to talk about all of it, because yes, Kenya is a part of this show. You'd never know it based on the cast pictures, but she was present in the Season 16 premiere.
At Drew's house, the two started talking about Dennis, and Kenya had a hard time wrapping her head around the idea of him helping Drew with a music career. If he's in the studio with Drew, who's going to cook the hot dogs?
'Apparently he's been doing music for a very, very long time,' Drew told Kenya with a smile.
Of course, Kenya hit back with some very important follow-up questions. First of all, how does Porsha feel about this? Second of all, if he's so big into music, why didn't he produce a track for his baby's mother? She's a singer sometimes, too!
The first real newbie we met in the premiere was Kelli, and she's one of those cast members who seems like they were printed at the Housewives factory. Seriously, she checks all of the boxes of your average Real Housewife star. She's got money, she's got twins, and she's got a big mouth ready to spread some gossip.
Kelli nicknamed herself the Waffle Queen because she owns a chicken and waffle restaurant that exploded into a huge business. If you need gold-infused syrup for your waffles, she's your girl.
In the premiere, Kelli established herself as the messy one of this new group. At a lunch with Shamea and Brit, she started stirring the pot. Someone has to do it.
The ladies were talking about Shamea's upcoming birthday party, when Porsha's name came up. Kelli immediately started talking about Simon and how Porsha shouldn't have been messing around with him in the first place.
Is Kelli wrong? Absolutely not, but she's putting Shamea in a rough spot. Her friendship with Porsha is going to be tested as she starts to mix friend groups together.
In Kelli's defense, we were all watching this episode and thinking about Porsha's divorce. It's the elephant in the room, and since Bravo cameras weren't allowed in her home, she brought them into her lawyer's office. There, she and her lawyers plotted an emergency request to have a judge allow filming in the marital home. It's just a glimpse into the nastiness still to come with Simon, who in real-time has been detained by ICE.
The situation with Simon is so draining that Shamea decided to take Porsha to a strip club to take her mind off of things. The two took shots, ate chicken wings, and watched booties bounce. You have to get creative when you can't film at home!
Overall, Porsha has a lot on her plate this season, and when Shamea gave her a heads up about what Kelli had been saying about her, it was like it flipped a switch in Porsha. She's back in the game of Housewives, and she's ready to play.
The last part of the premiere episode brought us back to Sterling Hall for Shamea's birthday bash, which served as the first all-cast event of Season 16. That included Cynthia, who is part-time but had more confessionals than some of the newbies, and Angela, a full-time newbie married to a former NBA player.
As Shamea ushered in the new generation of RHOA, you could see little sprinklings of drama start to pop up throughout the party. Kenya gave an icy introduction to Brit. Kelli and Porsha haven't met but have been talking about each other through Shamea. Then, there's also the Dennis and Drew situation that has everyone talking. It's a lot, and Shamea's elaborate party could only distract from the drama for so long.
At the end of the episode, the ladies took an elevator ride to another wing of Sterling Hall to have an all-hands chat about the rumors floating around. The premiere episode ended with a 'to be continued,' but it looks like this is about to get juicy.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 continues on Bravo every Sunday at 8/7c.

Bravo's Terry and Heather Dubrow dump Beverly Hills ‘dream house' turned nightmare for $16.5M — millions below original ask
Terry and Heather Dubrow walked away from their Beverly Hills 'dream house' — just two years after they bought it. The reality TV stars of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Orange County' and 'Botched' parted with the hilltop home for $16.5 million on Monday, TMZ reported — after putting it on the market for $25 million in March. The couple tapped colleagues Josh Flagg of Compass and Josh Altman of Douglas Elliman, both cast members on Bravo's 'Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,' to take on the listing. 10 Terry and Heather Dubrow. Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock The deeply discounted deal ended a series of renovation nightmares for the couple. Heather Dubrow once dubbed the 9,000-square-foot property 'The Dubrow dream house,' after shelling out $16.1 million for the secluded spread in 2023. Reportedly disastrous, multi-million dollar renovation efforts and the discovery of toxic asbestos on site appear to have soured the family on the property, however. Their homeownership headaches were chronicled in the most recent season of the 'Real Housewives of Orange County.' 10 The home's massive terrace boasts city skyline and ocean views. 'But the more I think about this house, the more I realize how not viable it truly is for our family,' she said. Despite a streak of bad luck, the newly overhauled home has a lot to recommend itself to the new owner. 10 A sitting area with mountain views. Christopher Amitrano | cs8photo 10 The dining room. The 6.13-acre lot includes a pool, a spa and a full-sized tennis court. Inside, the secluded sanctuary features dual sweeping staircases, soaring ceilings and modern finishes. The home got a fresh coat of white paint and new floors before hitting the market in March, according to Bravo. The listing price fell to $19.99 million before it found finding its new owner, identified by TMZ as a foreign buyer who backed out of a deal for the same property in 2023, before the Dubrows swooped in. The reunion was made possible after the buyer spotted an Instagram post, and reached out to Flagg.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6: Release date speculation, cast updates and what to expect next
By Aman Shukla Published on August 13, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated August 13, 2025, 10:47 IST The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) has solidified its place as one of Bravo's most captivating franchises, delivering jaw-dropping drama, unforgettable one-liners, and snowy Utah vibes. After an explosive Season 5, fans are buzzing with excitement for Season 6. From release date predictions to cast updates and hints about what's coming, here's everything known so far about the next chapter of RHOSLC. When Will RHOSLC Season 6 Premiere? No official premiere date has been announced for Season 6, but based on the show's historical release patterns, speculation points to a late 2025 or early 2026 debut. Season 5 premiered on September 18, 2024, and previous seasons have typically followed a yearly cycle, with filming often starting in early spring. Reports from May 2024 confirmed that filming for Season 6 was already underway, and a Bravo teaser recently declared the season is 'coming soon.' If the pattern holds, expect new episodes to hit Bravo around September to November 2025, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock. Who's in the Cast for RHOSLC Season 6? The core cast of Season 5—Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Mary Cosby, Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas, and Bronwyn Newport—is expected to return, though Bravo hasn't officially confirmed the lineup. The chemistry among these women, paired with their knack for stirring the pot, makes their return likely, especially after Season 5's success. Heather Gay : The 'queen of receipts' is back, promising more unfiltered moments. Her unexpected bond with Bronwyn hints at new alliances. Lisa Barlow : Despite exit rumors, recent photos of Lisa filming with her husband, John, confirm she's not going anywhere. Expect her to stay at the center of the drama, especially after her Season 5 feuds. Meredith Marks : Meredith has teased a 'very crazy' season, hinting at lies and rumors swirling around her. She's confirmed to return despite earlier speculation about a suspension. Mary Cosby : Mary's quirky charm and fish-saving antics are already stealing the spotlight in teasers. Her friendship with Angie Katsanevas is reportedly on shaky ground, which could spark major drama. Whitney Rose : Lisa Barlow has openly said she wouldn't want Whitney back, citing ongoing tension and 'lies.' Still, Whitney's role as a pot-stirrer makes her a likely returnee. Angie Katsanevas : Angie's bond with Mary is tested this season, but their 'sisterhood' endures. Her reactions to the cast trip's stunning views suggest she'll bring emotional depth. Bronwyn Newport: After a standout debut in Season 5, Bronwyn's back with 'major receipts' and a fiercer attitude. Her evolving dynamic with Heather could shift group dynamics. As for 'friends,' Britani Bateman, a polarizing figure from Season 5, was spotted filming at Saratoga Hot Springs with most of the cast. Her return has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans loving her chaotic energy and others calling her a poor fit. Meili Workman, another Season 5 friend, appeared minimally and skipped the reunion, making her return unlikely. What to Expect from RHOSLC Season 6 Season 6 promises to crank up the drama with fresh feuds, international adventures, and surprising crossovers. Here's a breakdown of what's on the horizon: A Dramatic Cast Trip The cast jetted off to an international destination, possibly Greece, for a trip that left a lasting impression. Mary raved about the culture and food, while Lisa loved the iconic setting. Angie noted castmates were moved to tears by the views, and Heather described a 'quintessential tourist experience' as a 'core memory.' Meredith called it a 'hard trip' but said it helped her reconnect with family history and mend ties with Angie. Expect stunning backdrops and intense group dynamics. Evolving Friendships and Feuds Relationships are shifting, and not always for the better. Mary and Angie's 'sisterhood' hit a rough patch, though they insist they'll work through it. Heather and Bronwyn's budding friendship is a surprise, with Heather praising Bronwyn's receipt-bringing skills. Meanwhile, Meredith feels targeted by 'a lot of lies,' and Lisa called the season 'good weird,' hinting at a different vibe. Lisa's tension with Whitney and Bronwyn, plus Mary's shady 'little girl' jab at Lisa, suggests unresolved drama will boil over. A Below Deck Crossover A major highlight is a crossover with Below Deck Down Under Season 4. Photos surfaced of Captain Jason Chambers, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, and Chef Ben Robinson filming with Angie and Mary, promising a unique blend of Bravo chaos. This crossover could bring fresh conflicts or alliances to the snowy slopes of Salt Lake City. Mary Cosby's Fishy Moment A teaser clip shows Mary and Meredith on a fishing trip, where Mary hilariously plans to 'free' a fish by giving it CPR. Her earnest attempt to save the fish, complete with a confessional about flapping fins and heart monitors, is peak Mary chaos and a taste of the quirky moments to come.
