Jana Kramer Says Husband Allan Russell's Comments About Forbidding Her from Doing Sex Scenes Were a 'Joke'

Jana Kramer addressed her husband Allan Russell's statements about not allowing her to perform an intimate scene while on an acting job 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take,' Kramer recently told E! News Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenesJana Kramer is addressing the controversial statements her husband made about her filming intimate scenes. The One Tree Hill alum, 41, spoke about her husband Allan Russell's thoughts on her taking on acting roles that would require her to be intimate with someone else, in a recent interview with E! News published Friday, June 6. 'He was joking,' Kramer told the outlet of her husband. 'There's a conversation with every [job] we take. It's the same thing with his line of work.' 'I'm not going to do something that is wildly taking my clothes off for no reason,' the actress continued. 'If it is creatively gonna move the needle and it's important to me for the role, he is so supportive.' On the Dec. 8 episode of Kramer's iHeart podcast, Whine Down, she and Russell discussed a recent episode of Yellowstone, in which Wes Bentley and Dawn Olivieri's characters had a sex scene. Without hesitation, the former soccer player told his actress wife she could never take on a similar role. 'There's not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that,' he said. 'Never.' 'What if Taylor Sheridan has me audition and I book a role where I have to have that scene?' Kramer responded, referring to Yellowstone's creator. 'Then I will go Tommy Lee on everyone,' Russell, 43, exclaimed. 'I will be phoning the producers and threatening the producers, 'You need to change that scene. Well, this for the good of your health, you need to change this scene.' ' 'No. I wouldn't let you do that scene. No,' he added. 'That's not good for a marriage, that type of role. It's not. Especially [as] a man who's not in the acting world, it's difficult, therefore that's my opinion based on, I'm not in that world. You can keep smiling and laughing if you want. But let's flip it. Let's flip it because we always do that.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Speaking with E!, Kramer said that much of her success is owed to her husband. 'I do owe a lot of it to my husband,' she told the outlet. 'In the past I wouldn't have focused so much on the work because I was so worried about, 'OK, what woman is he cheating on me with?' I wasn't able to truly settle and be confident.' 'He's like, 'I'm your lucky charm.' I'm like, 'No, you are!' It's been great,' she added, noting that Russell makes her feel 'not only supported, but loved and like I can do my work.' Kramer also criticized fans for "[ripping] him apart" for his comments about acting in intimate scenes. 'That's what marriage is—it's a conversation. It's not like, 'No, you cannot do this.' I don't think that's healthy,' she finished. The actress and country music star tied the knot with the 44-year-old Scottish soccer player on July 13, 2024, during an intimate wedding at Carnell Estate in Scotland. The pair have a blended family with Kramer's daughter Jolie, 9, and son Jace, 6, Russell's teenager Troy, and Kramer and Russell's son Roman, 1 ½. is now available in the Apple App Store! Rogan reacts live to Elon's 'crazy' Epstein accusation against Trump while interviewing FBI director

Podcaster Joe Rogan was shocked as he read billionaire Elon Musk's wild allegations against President Donald Trump on Thursday. Musk dropped a bomb on social media when he alleged Trump was in the Jeffrey Epstein files after a series of escalating back-and-forth social media messages between him and the president. This accusation occurred as part of a larger tirade against Trump and Republican leaders over the "Big Beautiful Bill." In the episode, which was recorded Thursday but released Friday, a "Joe Rogan Experience" producer interrupted the host's live interview with FBI director Kash Patel to inform him of Musk's Epstein tweet. Rogan read the tweet out loud, "'Time to drop the really big bomb Donald Trump is in the Epstein files, that's the real reason they have not been made public, have a nice day.' "Jesus Christ," he said in shock. "I'm not participating in any of that conversation," Patel said. "Someone should take his phone away," Rogan said as he marveled at Musk's tweet. "Jesus Christ, that's a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein files? Does he have access to the Epstein files?" "I don't know how he would," the FBI director said, again insisting he would stay out of the feud. "What the f--- are they doing?" Rogan asked. "I understand he owns Twitter, I think it's bad for your mental health," Rogan said. "I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you." "This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful BIll because it does not include the policies he wanted," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. "The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again." The White House said a source familiar with the Epstein matter said it is widely known that Trump kicked Epstein out of his Palm Beach Golf Club. The source also pointed out that the administration released the Epstein files, which included Trump's name, and nothing was new about Musk's revelation. "If Elon truly thought the President was more deeply involved with Epstein, why did he hang out with him for 6 months and say he 'loves him as much as a straight man can love a straight man?'" the source said. Shortly after Musk posted about Trump being in the Epstein file, Trump posted his response to Truth Social. "I don't mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress," Trump said, turning his attention to the "big, beautiful bill" that is before the Senate. "It's a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given. If this Bill doesn't pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that." "I didn't create this mess, I'm just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" the president added.

Fire Country Season 4: Max Thieriot Worries Bode Will Be ‘Very Broken' If [Spoiler] Has in Fact Died — WATCH

Fire Country star and co-creator Max Thieriot is frankly worried 'how poorly' Bode will respond if his firefighter father, Vince, winds up dying in the blaze that closed out Season 3. When last we tuned into the Friday-night CBS drama, the scene at Walter's memory care center was mayhem. Racing to the facility after realizing it was in the path of the Zabel Ridge wildfire, Bode and Walter (Jeff Fahey) spent a lot of time hunting for Walter's pal Otto, eventually finding him sheltered in a closet. Vince and Sharon (Billy Burke and Diane Farr) arrived on the scene and, leaving Jake (Jordan Calloway) in charge, dashed inside to find Bode and Walter, though that took time. And then once they did, Walter went missing! Vince located Walter, but before they and Sharon could find their way to safety, the roof collapsed — as a horrified and helpless Bode watched from outside…. As if the cliffhanger wasn't harrowing enough, as soon as the finale ended on the East Coast, the news broke that Burke, who has played Vince since Day 1, was exiting the CBS drama after three seasons. (Stephanie Arcila is also done as a series regular, though producers hope her Gabriela might pop up now and again as a guest star.) Meaning, it sure seems like Season 4 will reveal that Vince in fact perished in the blaze. If true, Bode will certainly be left 'very broken,' Thieriot tells TVLine in the red carpet video above. 'Bode has obviously gone through a lot of hardship in his life,' his portrayer notes, 'and it seems like every time he feels like he's coming out the other side, something happens. So I worry what [Vince's death] would to do him, and how poorly he would respond. 'We know [Bode has] made leaps and bounds as far as the person he is after being incarcerated,' Thieriot continues, 'but has he come fare enough to deal with something like that or not…? It's heavy.'
