Jacksonville police looking for suspect in larceny at McDonald's
The suspect is involved in a larceny investigation that happened at McDonald's at 305 S. Marine Blvd.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call JPD Det. R. Daughety at 910-938-6413 or email rdaughety@jacksonvillenc.gov or call Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273.

Human remains found after Kapolei brush fire
Honolulu police said human remains were discovered early today after firefighters extinguished a brush fire in Kapolei. According to police, officers responded with the Honolulu Fire Department to a blaze just after 1 :30 a.m. in the area of 4451 Kapolei Parkway. After the fire was put out, remains were found inside a makeshift structure located within a known homeless encampment. The decedent's gender and identity remain unknown, police said. Mother of 15-year-old Bronx rape victim pleads for justice
CROTONA PARK, the Bronx (PIX11) — The mother of a 15-year-old Bronx girl who was raped over the weekend is pleading for the community to help police find the attacker. 'I just want justice for my daughter, please. I can't sleep at night, and she's just 15,' the teen's mom tearfully said Tuesday. More Local News Police said the teen was raped in an apartment near East 170th Street and Prospect Avenue in Crotona Park at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. Parents who live in the building said there was drinking at a party the night of the incident. Video obtained by PIX11 News shows the suspect, believed to be 17 to 19 years old, walking out of a building on East 170th Street with the young girl. Her face is blurred, but she appears unsteady as he leads her toward a red car. 'I don't want no other kids gotta go through what my daughter went through,' the mom said. The victim's older sister and local clergy are also asking the community to help cops apprehend the suspect, saying they won't feel safe until he is in custody. Flyers offering a $3,500 reward were posted in the neighborhood to help identify the suspect. 'I just want justice for my sister,' she said. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing. But now, one Chick-fil-A location's new "teen chaperone" policy might be putting an end to high school kids hanging out and eating fries after customers have mixed feelings about the change. On Wednesday, Aug. 13, a Chick-fil-A in Kettering, OH, shared a Facebook post announcing the rule, explaining that to "ensure a safe and respectful environment for all guests," patrons "17 and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult chaperone (age 21+) to dine in." "Unaccompanied minors may be asked to leave," the post continued, adding, "Thank you for helping us to keep Chick-fil-A family-friendly!" Some commenters were quick to argue against the idea, with one even saying they "won't be eating" at that Chick-fil-A location anymore. "I'm in my 50s but I disagree with their policy there's better ways I've managed restaurants convenience stores and retail places and this is not the answer," the person wrote, adding, "You're going to lose so much money and so much business especially being close to the high school and Junior high and what not and on game nights you're screwed your business that you're used to getting on a game night is pretty much over." "We went Tuesday night for family night and there was about ten or so teens (probably on a sports team together- some were wearing Alter baseball shirts) and they were all so well mannered and having a good time in a safe environment," another local Chick-fil-A customer chimed in to say. "Sad that is getting taken away from them." Others, however, were in agreement with the idea, with one pointing out that "nobody there makes enough to constantly 'remove disruptive' teenagers who lack accountability and fear of consequence." "A lot of places are moving into this direction because your kids are unruly and disrespectful," the person continued. "Everyone acts like this is the only company doing this when it's not," someone else agreed, going on to note that other local businesses also have chaperone policies in effect. Whether or not other Chick-fil-A locations will follow suit remains to be seen, but as a spokesperson for the chain explained toFox Business, "Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated.
