Garner expects 'fireworks' in Bellotti showdown
Garner 'on verge' of world title fight - Warren
Garner's promoter, Frank Warren, told BBC Sport: "If Ryan comes through this then he's on the verge of fighting for a world title in my opinion."Reece Bellotti is a good fighter, and he's going to come into Ryan's backyard - this will be a test for him."I think we're going to get a bit of a barn burner as far as the fight's concerned. I hope he comes through it and if he does we'll be looking to get a title fight on at Southampton's ground."Queensberry Promotions have put on stadium shows for some of their boxers before, with the most recent one a heavyweight showdown at Ipswich Town's Portman Road for Fabio Wardley. The BIC can hold about 4,000 seated people, and in March it was packed out for what was Garner's first major headline show. St Mary's Stadium holds about 32,000 seated spectators, plus more space on the pitch."It would be fantastic for Southampton and Ryan," Warren added."It would be a bit like what we did with Fabio in Ipswich and Josh Warrington in Leeds. There's nothing better than being in front of your own."Hopefully, we can get that world title for him down there. This is a tough test, but I believe he is capable of doing it."There'll be fireworks. It's going to be something special, and the pair of them are going to put on a fantastic night for the fans."

Conor Coady to Rangers transfer snag 'revealed' with rival club willing to meet Leicester asking price
The Foxes defender has just 12 months remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium Rangers have learned that a fee of £2million will be required to sign Conor Coady. The England international has been a key target for Russell Martin all summer, with the 32-year-old identified as someone who could bring some added experience to the Gers young squad. Coady has just 12 months left on his current deal with the Foxes but has featured heavily in their pre-season schedule, with new Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes hinting that he does see the centre back as part of his plans in the coming campaign. But the Light Blues aren't the only team keen on the former Wolves captain, with ambitious Championship side Wrexham also in the race. And talkSPORT claim that the Welsh side - who have achieved back-to-back promotions to England's second tier under the ownership of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - are willing to fork out the seven-figure sum to bring the veteran to the Racecourse Ground. The report adds that Rangers were close to sealing a deal for Coady earlier in this summer but were ultimately put off by the £2million asking price. Wrexham have already broke their transfer record twice in the summer window with the captures of Empoli's Liberarto Cacace for around £4million and Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest for £5million. The Red Dragons are set to smash it again with a £7.5million deal for Ipswich Town's Nathan Broadhead edging ever closer. Meanwhile, departed defender Robin Propper admits his return to FC Twente this summer was far from a smooth process. After weeks of negotiation between the two clubs, the Dutchman until he was finally able to put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Twente last week after just one season at Ibrox. Propper, 31, insists he enjoyed his time with Rangers but concedes his exit did drag on a bit. He said: "I'm really happy with how everything went. I went there with my family and experienced what it's like to play in a major foreign league. "It's a club with a lot of history and a loyal fan base. I witnessed that first-hand. "The media got wind of it (his Rangers exit) pretty early on, but it wasn't as easy as it seemed "Luckily, we were able to smooth things over and I was able to return."

Thomas Frank's 'charisma' will guide Tottenham to a top five Premier League finish next season, broadcaster Gordon Smart predicts on Mail podcast
A revitalised Tottenham Hotspur under former Brentford manager Thomas Frank will break into the Premier League 's top five next season, broadcaster Gordon Smart has predicted. Speaking to Mark Clattenburg on the Mail's Whistleblowers podcast, Smart claimed that the 'charisma and personality' of Frank, coupled with some shrewd summer transfer business, could see Spurs rebound back amongst the league's elite sides. Under Australian manager Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham endured a disastrous league campaign last term, finishing just above the relegation zone in seventeenth. The club have now turned to Danish manager Frank, who has built a solid reputation at Brentford for developing difficult to beat teams on a limited budget. Adding to a sense of renewed optimism, Tottenham have been active in the summer transfer window, spending a club record £120 million on Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Croatian defensive prodigy Luka Vuskovic. 'I have a funny feeling about Tottenham this year', Smart told the podcast. 'I don't know whether this is controversial, but I believe Tottenham could crack fifth – based purely on the personality and charisma of Thomas Frank. 'I think Frank will galvanise the fans and they've made some good business this summer. If they can crack on, it's achievable. 'I felt Ange just threw it away deliberately at Christmas last year. It became all about staying up with a focus on Europe. 'Bear in mind too, Heung Min Son was injured a lot of last season. His game is reliant on being so fit and quick. That's apparently back and he's one of the best strikers in the league.' Former referee Clattenburg was sceptical of Gordon's prediction, arguing that while Frank could make Spurs 'more structured', going from 17th to fifth in one season is a mountain to climb. 'Tottenham have never recovered from losing Harry Kane's goals, Son isn't the same type of player. 'Whilst I get the new manager bounce and Frank's tactical nous, I can't see them going from 17th to fifth.' Special guest and Chelsea influencer Rory Jennings was incredulous, calling Smart's analysis 'absolutely wild'. Jennings said: 'They have missed out on Morgan Gibbs-White, Son, even if he gets back to full fitness, will probably never be the same player again. 'Seriously, if Thomas Frank takes Tottenham to fifth, he will be named manager of the year.' Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White had a deal agreed with Tottenham before their owner, Evangelos Marinkas threatened legal action to block the move. Gibbs-White now seems firmly off the table, signing a bumper new deal with Forest to keep him at the club for the next season. Smart then doubled down on his bold prediction, believing Tottenham's rivals like Newcastle and Aston Villa will suffer drops in form. Both Newcastle and Villa have had difficult transfer windows, with their spending hamstrung by FFP (Financial Fair Play). 'Look at the teams around Tottenham for that seventh, eight spot. I think Spurs will surprise people – just wait and see.' To catch the full Premier League predictions episode, search for Whistleblowers now, wherever you get your podcasts.
