Netflix viewers distraught after shock removal announcement of 'one of the best shows ever released'

Daily Mail01-07-2025
Netflix is set to remove one of its most popular foreign shows this month and fans aren't happy about it.
The French comedy-drama Call My Agent! will officially depart the streaming service on July 22.
The beloved series depicts a group of talent agents at a Paris-based agency - focusing on their relationships with their actor clients, who are played by real-life celebrities.
Some of the celebrity stars have included Juliette Binoche, Sigourney Weaver, and Isabelle Huppert.
Call My Agent! was an instant hit when it premiered on French television in late 2015, but it didn't become a global sensation until the Covid pandemic.
Viewers soon named it one of the best Netflix shows of all time, with the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman counting themselves as loyal fans of the series.
'It's a love letter to the business, to the relationships between actors, artists,' Weaver told Variety.
'It goes behind the scenes to show the problems of actors in dealing with different directors and mood scenes, cosmetic surgery and all these situations that come up in a very humorous way that no other show does,' she continued.
'And it has a lot of affection for the business and for the job of being an agent. The agents in the series are very passionate about their clients. It's very inspiring.'
A British version was released in 2022 titled Ten Percent, but was canceled after one season.
Other international versions came from Turkey, South Korea, India, Italy, Indonesia, and more.
The fourth and final season of Call My Agent! was released in 2020, but a fifth season and a feature-length film were both announced back in 2021.
Fans have been distraught since news of Call My Agent! exiting Netflix was announced, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment.
'Ummm… why is Call My Agent leaving Netflix?!
'We're still waiting for the fifth season and 90-minute film that we were promised in 2021,' wrote one.
'Oh no! I enjoyed re-watching this every year on Netflix,' wrote a second.

It comes after Netflix dumped a huge amount of popular shows and movies throughout the month of June.
Batman Begins (2005) was cut, as well as its sequels The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
Children's favorites including Alvinnn!!! And The Chipmunks and Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom also left the streamer.
Meanwhile, horror fans had to say goodbye to Cult of Chucky and Ma.

Love Island feud ERUPTS as two Islanders storm off from each other after bitter clash

fiery row Fans were quick to call out Blu online A BRAND new Love Island feud has sensationally erupted between two unlikely Islanders. In explosive scenes screened on the ITV2 show tonight, Toni was seen clashing with returning Islander, Blu. 4 4 4 As the Grafties took hold, Blu could be seen doing his best to meddle in the drama of his co-stars. One such moment saw him call out Toni in front of the entire group in a bid to question her on her actions which left her villa partner Cach in tears. As Cach won the award for most emotional moment after being left in tears over Toni's decision to re-couple with Harrison, Blu was quick to ask Toni about "how she felt" over the clip. Toni made it clear how everyone, including Cach, knew that she felt guilty and sad over the situation but it had now been resolved. She fired back at Blu for his questioning of her in front of the group. Later, the pair had a fiery argument in which they argued over the moment. Toni was left asking Blu why he asked how she felt when he already knew given that he watched it at home as a result of him being dumped from the Island. Blu stuttered as he attempted to get Toni to listen to his point before she told him she "didn't care" about the conversation and how he knew exactly what he was doing. As they continued to argue in circles, Toni stood up and walked away before Blu also got up and stormed off. He then branded Toni a "weirdo" in a harsh comment before going to fill his co-stars in on their frosty interaction. He then mimicked her American accent in another bizarre moment. Commenting on the fiery row online, one viewer of the show said: "Blu pulled Toni for some airtime and left HEATED, while Toni left confused & not giving a single F." Before someone else commented: "Blu's angry because Toni's not giving him the argument he wanted, he wants to create drama to stay in the villa." As a third went on to write: "Blu crashing out and Toni sitting there composed like the queen she is. What a loser! Very strange creature." 4

Jo Wood on dating after divorce: Just get out there!

B etrayal by a marital partner can be a truly devastating experience. Jo Wood knows the territory well. The 70-year-old entrepreneur and interior designer was married to the Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood for 24 years until he left her for a 19-year-old Russian cocktail waitress in 2008. He went on to marry the theatre producer Sally Humphreys, 31 years his junior, in 2012. Wood has now written a novel in which she describes a woman navigating the break-up despair in a way I've never read before. Her heroine can't eat or sleep. She won't wash or even get dressed. She hasn't shaved her armpits for six weeks … and 'my bush was out of control', Wood writes. 'Well, that's what it was like for me too,' she says. 'When I was really brokenhearted I totally let myself go. I didn't shave my legs, I didn't shave anything. I was just miserable. My eldest son said to me, 'Mum, get yourself together', and I thought, 'What am I going to do with my life now?'
