Emma Watson and the curse of the speeding fine: Harry Potter star caught driving 38mph in a 30 zone in the same Audi that was towed away by police after night out in the pub

Emma Watson has fallen foul of muggle speed limits after being caught driving at 38mph in a 30mph zone.
The 35-year-old Harry Potter star now faces up to six points on her licence as well as a maximum £1,000 fine after she was captured by a speed camera on a restricted road in Oxford.
Watson, who has reportedly been studying for a doctorate at Oxford University, was driving a £30,000 Audi S3 at the time, according to court records and national databases.
Her sentence will be handed down at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court next Wednesday.
It is not the first time Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the Potter film series, has found herself cursed with car trouble.
In February last year her Audi was impounded by police after a night out in the Rose and Crown pub in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The star, whose last film appearance was in 2019's Little Women, had apparently failed to spot a 'no parking' sign and left the Audi blocking a car park entrance.
A vehicle belonging to a pizza restaurant manager was trapped inside for three-and-a-half hours.
The manager – who had finished a 12-hour shift – trawled local restaurants in an effort to find the car's owner before calling the police to have it towed.
As the blue Audi was being hauled on to a low loader, Watson came 'flying out' of the pub, where she had been enjoying an evening with her mother.
Despite her appeals the car was taken, earning her a £192 fine.
Watson became one of Hollywood's best paid actresses after appearing in all eight Harry Potter movies from 2001 to 2011.
But she took the decision to step away from the spotlight following Little Women.
At Oxford, she has been coxing the New College women's third rowing team and is said to be dating fellow student Kieran Brown, who just finished his doctorate at the university. They were spotted kissing at a Gail's Bakery in the city last year.
Watson has also been at loggerheads with JK Rowling over the author's views on trans issues.
The actress previously posted on X: 'Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren't who they say they are.'

The hardest thing is that he was always there for me and, in the end, it felt like I wasn't there for him: NASSER HUSSAIN pays an emotional tribute to his great mate Graham Thorpe

It feels like yesterday. When Rob Key called, telling me he had some sad news, I instinctively knew what it was and yet, like everyone who knew Graham Thorpe, his death left me in a state of shock. I was staying up in Richmond, North Yorkshire, with my family and my initial thoughts, obviously, were with his family: his wife Amanda and their kids, his dad Geoff.

Burglars smash their way into Harry Redknapp's £5m home

Harry Redknapp's mansion in Dorset has been raided by masked robbers armed with hammers. The thieves stole jewellery belonging to his wife, Sandra, and other items during the burglary last Friday, it is understood. The pair were out at the time of the raid. A source told The Sun: 'It was clearly organised. The raiders must have known the house was empty.' Their £5 million home near Sandbanks, a beach resort in Dorset, is up for sale and one theory is that the thieves attained details of its floorplan via the property website Rightmove. A source said: 'The criminals would only have to keep watch on the property and break in once the coast was clear, knowing the full layout of the house in advance.' They added that the thieves, who were masked, used hammers and a sledgehammer to break down the front door of the couple's home. They were caught on CCTV rifling the gated property. Redknapp had reportedly been attending a function that evening, while his wife was in London. A spokesman told The Sun that Redknapp did not 'want to make a fuss' and that it was a 'matter for the police'. Dorset Police confirmed it was hunting for the thieves. Redknapp and Harris, both 78, moved into the home in 2021, having lived in several other properties in the area. They are currently waiting for works on another waterside villa in the Sandbanks to be completed. Sandbanks is the UK's most expensive coastal area to buy a house, according to analysis by Rightmove, with an average asking price of £1.28 million. It is the only coastal area in the country where average house prices exceed £1 million. Despite having fallen 3 per cent year-on-year, asking prices remain more than three times more expensive than the national average of £378,240. The resort is also home to the cricketer Sir Geoffrey Boycott and the interior designer Celia Sawyer, whose home suffered an attempted burglary last May.
