
North Al Batinah Municipal Council reviews service requests to enhance infrastructure
Sohar: The North Al Batinah Municipal Council convened on Wednesday to discuss several service requests and proposals aimed at improving infrastructure and developing services across the governorate.
The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah and Chairman of the Council Chairman, addressed key topics including a proposal to construct a box culvert tunnel on the Al Batinah Coastal Road in Asrar Bani Amr, Wilayat of Shinas and a request for maintenance of the (Al Breek – Halhal) road in the Wilayat of Al Khabourah.
The council also reviewed responses from relevant government entities and a visual presentation on the statistical report of the labour sector's performance in the governorate (January-May 2024), presented by specialists from the Directorate General of Labour in North Al Batinah.

Dialogue session highlights social protection services for SMEs
Muscat: The Authority for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (Riyada) on Wednesday organised a dialogue session on social protection services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The session included insurance coverage for SMEs, subscriptions to the Social Protection Fund and other incentives offered to SMEs. The session aimed to encourage SMEs partnerships with the public and private sectors, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of SMEs services as a key measure in supporting the national economy. It was attended by Halima Rashid Al Zar'ai, Chairperson of the SMEs Authority, officials from the Social Protection Fund, representatives of the parties concerned and owners of SMEs.
