Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa will be parents soon. The couple shared an adorable post on social media on July 9 and revealed that they are expecting their first child together. Soon after, News18 Showsha caught up with the duo exclusively for an interview at a New Zealand Tourism event that happened in Mumbai.
During the interaction, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa opened up about becoming parents soon and expressed excitement. Rajkummar Rao said, 'It feels great, of course. Still syncing in, but lot of our friends who are already parents are telling us 'this is going to be the best phase of your life'. We are absolutely looking forward to it."
Patralekhaa also added, 'It's just a natural progression to our relationship. We've been with each other for 15 years. So, we have literally grown up together."

For the unversed, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa announced their pregnancy on Wednesday, July 9. The couple took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news that they're expecting their first child together. In a delicate, pastel-toned post featuring a floral wreath and a cradle, the words 'Baby on the way" appear with their names — Patralekhaa & Rajkummar — written underneath. Rajkummar captioned the post simply, 'Elated ❤️❤️", summing up the joy of this special moment.
Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa tied the knot in 2021 in Chandigarh. Their wedding was a quiet, beautiful affair attended by close friends and family. Patralekhaa wore a red sari with a Bengali verse embroidered on her veil, while Rajkummar looked elegant in ivory.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen in Maalik, which will hit theatres on July 11. Directed by Pulkit, the film dives deep into the world of power, politics, and betrayal, all set in the intense landscape of Allahabad. American popstar Nick Jonas, whose father Kevin Jonas Sr was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017 and has been in remission since 2018, feels that the health scare has actually served to unite his family.
