Celine Dion greets fans in Paris ahead of rumored Olympic performance
Celine Dion greeted fans outside of a hotel in Paris amid rumors of an Olympic opening ceremony performance.
The crowd went wild for Celine Dion as the Grammy winner made a rare public appearance at a recent Coldplay concert.
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer, 57, attended Coldplay's show at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, June 7. According to a video shared on social media, Dion was shown on screen during the concert, and she looked emotional as she received loud cheers from the crowd.
As the audience continued cheering, Dion stood up, put her hand on her heart and waved to fans.
Coldplay singer Chris Martin then performed a personalized tune about Dion, singing, "Oh, Celine, my beautiful sister, you make our heart go on and on. Near, far, you're a total superstar. Let's hear it for the legendary Celine Dion!" The crowd again erupted for Dion as Martin finished.
In an Instagram post, Dion shared photos showing her backstage at the concert and wrote that her "heart is still singing" after the "unforgettable evening."
"A heartfelt thanks to the band and their amazing team for welcoming my family with warmth and kindness," she added. "It was all…fantastique❤️"
In December 2022, Dion announced that she has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that she said made it difficult for her to walk or "sing the way I'm used to."
According to the Cleveland Clinic, symptoms of stiff-person syndrome include muscle stiffness or rigidity and painful muscle spasms.
Speaking to NBC News, Dion said that stiff-person syndrome feels "like somebody is strangling you." She also shared that her muscle spasms can cause serious injuries, noting, "I have broken ribs at one point because sometimes when it's very severe, it can break some ribs as well."
In 2024, Dion premiered the revealing documentary "I Am: Celine Dion," which chronicled her health struggles. One month after it debuted, she delivered a dazzling performance in the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

Jim Curtis Was ‘Very Happy' to ‘Support' Jennifer Aniston As Couple Marks First Public Event: Report
Making their public debut! Jennifer Aniston brought her boyfriend, Jim Curtis, to her LolaVie hair care event together in L.A. on Wednesday, August 20, per Entertainment Tonight. Curtis, who was seen chatting with Aniston and shaking her hand in videos posted on Instagram by the outlet, was 'lowkey, engaged, laughing,' a witness told ET, adding that he 'seemed very happy to be there to support Jen.' The appearance marks their first official event together for the A-lister, 56, and the hypnotist, who have been dating for several months, People reported in July. 'Jen adores Jim and wants to be with him as much as possible,' an insider previously told Star, adding that while initially planning to keep their relationship private, they've been photographed on various outings together recently. The pair were spotted on a double date with her Friends BFF, Courteney Cox, 61, and her longtime partner Johnny McDaid, 49, in L.A. on Monday, August 18. In New York City two weeks before that, they dined with pals Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, both 56. Bateman and Anka also joined Aniston and Curtis on a July getaway to Mallorca, Spain. 'She has completely integrated him into her life,' the insider told Star exclusively, adding that they've also been spending time at a 'very secure and private' L.A.-area 'love nest' that the Morning Show actress owns. 'Not that Jim won't be spending plenty of time at her huge place in Bel Air.' As far as making a potential move-in official, Aniston isn't ready to 'go quite that far yet,' but it's 'very much on the horizon,' according to the insider. 'She says she knows she's found a keeper and he feels the same way.' Play Farm Merge Valley

Paris Jackson's Family Rift Over Michael's $2 Billion Estate Deepens Amid Broken Engagement
Paris Jackson recently ended her nearly three-year relationship to fiancé Justin Long — and according to sources, the breakup was fueled by a growing storm of money, manipulation and family tensions. While the 27-year-old singer and model confirmed the split on July 31, Star has learned that the drama swirling around her has little to do with Long himself — and everything to do with the vast fortune left behind by her late father, Michael Jackson. The King of Pop died unexpectedly in 2009 at 50 years old. Despite reports that he was $500 million in debt at the time of his death, People states that his estate is now valued at around $2 billion. Contrary to popular belief, Star can confirm that Paris will not automatically inherit her portion of Michael's massive fortune when she turns 30. At some point in the future, Paris may receive a partial distribution of her inheritance, but for now, the estate's funds are being invested and managed by court approved executors. The real pressure on Paris is said to be coming from Michael's siblings — relatives who are not beneficiaries of the late pop star's estate but who see his only daughter as vulnerable and an easy target for undue influence. They cannot legally claim any of Michael's fortune for themselves, but they are believed to be urging Paris to push for greater access to estate funds, desperately hoping they might personally benefit if she succeeds. Adding to the intrigue is the role of Paris's personal attorney and business advisor, Craig Peters. Observers note there may be arrangements between them, with suggestions that he, too, could be angling for a piece of the Jackson fortune. Paris — who has faced personal struggles and admits she often leaves her financial affairs in the hands of her lawyer — may be unknowingly opening herself up to manipulation. This latest chapter comes on the heels of Paris marking five years of sobriety from alcohol and 'all drugs.' In a candid Instagram post earlier this year, Paris introduced herself as 'an alcoholic and a heroin addict.' 'To say that I'm thankful would be a poor euphemism. gratitude hardly scratches the surface,' Paris wrote in the post. 'It's because I'm sober that I get to smile today. I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust. I feel the sun on my skin and it's warm. I've found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I'm sober or not, but today I get to show up for it.' Star has reached out to Paris's personal attorney, but he has not responded. Play Farm Merge Valley
