Yellowstone icon's dark '10/10' thriller lands release date and first look images
Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan's hit thriller starring a Marvel icon has just released a first look at the highly anticipated fourth season.
Plus, fans now finally have a release date to add to the calendars, and there's not too long to wait.
Paramount+ have announced this week that Mayor of Kingstown season four will be premiering on the streaming service on Sunday, 26th October.
This riveting crime drama follows Jeremy Renner as Mike McClusky, the right-hand man to his brother who acts as an unofficial 'Mayor' of the fictional Kingstown, where the business of incarceration reigns supreme.
When his brother dies in the very first episode, Mike is forced to take over, leading his powerful family as mediators between Kingstown's inmates, cops and gangs.
Season four will be adding an iconic name from prestige crime dramas, The Sopranos' Edie Falco, who'll be portraying Nina Hobbs, the new warden of Kingstown's maximum-security prison, Anchor Bay.
Also joining the cast is The Walking Dead's Lennie James, The Gilded Age's Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley and Nishi Munshi.
A synopsis for the upcoming season reads: 'In season four, Mike's control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians' wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town.
'Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.'
If you're not already caught up on the hit thriller, take these next couple of months before season four premieres as the perfect opportunity to catch up.
Fans have given Mayor of Kingstown overwhelmingly perfect 5/5 scores on Google, with one reviewer writing: 'Jeremy Renner is perfect. His supporting cast is so good they could all have singular story lines of their own.
'I'm so impressed. Can you tell? Ha! By far one of the best modern dramas I've binge watched in YEARS. Possibly, EVER.'
Another five-star review said: 'Very few television shows draw my attention so quickly and have me invested in its characters. Jeremy Renner gives an Emmy worthy performance in every episode.'
They went on to describe each episode as a 'movie experience' and concluded the series has the 'same caliber of all around excellence' as Netflix's crime hit Ozark.
And a final fan raved: 'I absolutely love this series and give both seasons 10/10.
'It's very well acted and you get invested in the characters. It's gripping and extremely binge worthy addictive.'
Will you be saving the date for Mike McClusky's long-awaited return to screens?

Vinny receives a visit from the police in Emmerdale as he is tormented by guilt
There's been a dark cloud following Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) around Emmerdale ever since he almost kissed Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). He's spiralled and started questioning what it means for his sexuality, and whether he does fancy his pal. Vinny is now faced with the reality that he might ruin Gabby's (Rosie Bentham) life, and rather than do that, he'd sooner lie to himself. But he may not have a choice thanks to Mike. In a bid to find some answers for himself, Vinny turned to the internet. He came across Mike, who seemed to be a like-minded friend. Mike probed Vinny on whether or not he was gay and reassured him everything he was going through was normal. But Vinny found himself in even more turmoil when he arranged to meet Mike knowing that it's not right, but later snogged Gabby to remind himself of their love. Vinny and Mike's friendship progressed, and after Vinny received an urgent message from Mike, Mike arrived at Vinny's revealing he'd been kicked out by his partner. As Vinny fumbled over how to help his friend, Mike hinted there is something between them, leaving Vinny more awkward than ever. He denied it, which saw Mike flip out. Vinny was badly beaten by vicious Mike but is allowing Gabby to believe it was Kammy. It's not a great move as now she wants to go to the police and get Kammy done for assault. Vinny is being eaten alive by guilt, especially when Gabby realises their wedding rings aren't the ones she chose. More Trending Vinny tries to move on, but he's horrified when the police arrive at the scrapyard. They ask him if he knows a man called Graham going by the name of Mike. Vinny has already paid him off, but now Mike's being investigated for extortion. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Dakota Johnson's biggest problem? Movies not as strange and funny as she is
The star of 'Madame Web' and 'Materialists' has proven she's a droll, eccentric, and inscrutable presence off screen, writes Louis Chilton. Why does Hollywood seem unable to bottle that? Sometimes, movie stars are a lot like onions. Before you accuse me of pilfering my metaphors from Shrek, I should say I don't mean that they have layers – though plenty do, of course – but onions have a way of just going with everything. Some actors, the Florence Pughs and Jesse Plemonses of the world, share exactly this quality: you can put them anywhere – a comedy or a romance, a Guy Ritchie thriller or A Midsummer Night's Dream – and they'll never offend the palate. They just always go. Dakota Johnson is not one of these actors. Johnson, the 35-year-old daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, is in the middle of one of the more curious movie careers in recent memory. She was propelled to fame playing sexual submissive Anastasia Steele in 2015's glossy, schlocky erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey – a box-office behemoth that was nevertheless widely considered abject pap. Johnson gave an admirableperformance, but still ended up shouldering most of the scorn. In the years since, there have been promising highs (her two collaborations with director Luca Guadagnino, Suspiria and A Bigger Splash) and guileless lows (last year's Madame Web, a deliriously bad attempt to launch Johnson as a soothsaying Marvel hero). Materialists, out in cinemas this week, slinks bashfully into the latter category.

ITV One Night: Full cast list and when it will be on TV
One Night was originally released on Paramount+ in November 2023 but was removed from the platform in February 2024. Now all six episodes of the Australian programme will be available to watch again on ITV and ITVX. The series stars Whittaker, Nicole da Silva and Yael Stone, who play three women whose bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20 years ago. The synopsis for the series says: "Since then, Simone (Nicole da Silva) has harboured secret hopes of becoming a novelist but most of her haphazard attempts have been shoved into her bottom drawer. "Now, at the age of 40, she has finally written the one story she could never get out of her mind, and her debut manuscript has become an unexpected overnight success. "But it soon becomes apparent that the devastating story the book tells doesn't exclusively belong to her. "At the heart of Simone's novel is a tragedy which also happened to Tess (Jodie Whittaker) and Hat (Yael Stone), her two childhood best friends." The Radio Times adds that this threatens to derail their friendships while stirring up perpetrators who "want to make it all go away." Speaking with the publication on what drew her to the series, Whittaker said: "Emily Ballou's writing was absolute poetry. "The use of our younger versions within scenes, of flashbacks and memory; the celebration and complication of friendship; the exploration of trauma… I found that intoxicating." Jodie Whittaker as Tess Nicole da Silva as Simone Yael Stone as Hat Kat Stewart as Vicki George Mason as Joey Erroll Shand as Trevor Noni Hazlehurst as Mary Tina Bursill as Helen William Zappa as Don Damien Strouthos as Mark Jillian Nguyen as Eden Fiona Press as Laura Zac Burgess as Jason Les Hill as Detective Clemens Recommended reading: Everything to know on ITV's Karen Pirie series 2 starring Lauren Lyle Everything to know on ITV crime-drama Ridley series 2 starring Adrian Dunbar All to know on Channel 4 crime thriller In Flight starring Katherine Kelly The first episode of One Night will air on ITV1 at 9.30pm on Saturday, August 16.
