England defender Millie Bright withdraws from Euro squad consideration
Bright made the announcement in an Instagram post on Wednesday, on the eve of England's Euro 2025 squad selection.
'My pride and ego tells me to go, but I think the team and the fans deserve more,' she wrote. 'Right now, I'm not able to give 100% mentally or physically.'
The 31-year-old England vice-captain, who called it one of the hardest decisions she has ever had to make, had already withdrawn from England's recent camp for Nations League games against Portugal and Spain, saying she was mentally and physically at her limit after the domestic season.
Her withdrawal ahead of the Euros in Switzerland, where England will defend its 2022 title, is a big blow to Sarina Wiegman's squad after veteran goalkeeper Mary Earps announced her international retirement recently.
'Football has given me so much, and representing my country has always been my greatest honour,' Bright said. 'As much as I want to be out there running through brick walls for England and fighting alongside my teammates, stepping back is the right thing for my health, my future in the game and most importantly the team.

'It wouldn't be fair for me to take the place and opportunity away from another player who is ready and able to give everything for the badge and country.'
Fran Kirby also announced her international retirement on Tuesday after learning she would not be named in Wiegman's Euros squad.
Considered one of the best defenders in the women's game, Bright helped Chelsea to its sixth successive Women's Super League title last month. It became the first team to go unbeaten in a 12-team, 22-game WSL campaign.
Bright has six goals and 88 caps for England and captained the Lionesses at the 2023 World Cup, where they finished runner-up to Spain.
England begins the defence of its European title against France on July 5.

Cardiologist explains why you must do some aerobic activity in the morning; shares best fat burning exercise to do
Cardiologist and functional medicine expert Dr Alok Chopra explains why it is important to include some aerobic activity in our morning schedule every day. In a video shared on August 20, he also explains the concept of a natural body clock, an inherent system within our DNA that regulates various bodily functions. Let's find out what the cardiologist said: Once you wake up, it is best to include some high-density workout in your routine. (Shutterstock) Also Read | Medanta cardiologist says 'almost every 4th person has high blood pressure'; why resistant hypertension is silent killer Body clock and aerobic activities In an Instagram video shared by DeKoder, Dr Chopra explained what the body clock is, the importance of morning aerobic activity, and how incorporating both aerobic and anaerobic activities in your routine can be most effective for fat burning and muscle building. This can be achieved through various forms of exercise, such as running, swimming, or using a treadmill, the cardiologist stressed. Sharing his thoughts on the body clock, the cardiologist explained, 'Most people don't know that we have a body clock in our system. It doesn't mean that there's a ghadi (clock) sitting inside there, but the body clock actually is there forever. It is part of our DNA.' The best fat-burning activity According to the cardiologist, once you wake up, it is best to include some high-density workout in your routine, which includes warming up for 1 minute, running like a mad dog for 3 to 6 minutes, slowing down for 1 minute, then repeating this. 'So, this interchange between aerobic and anaerobic actually causes fat burning and muscle building. If you go for a long walk, do it this way. You can also swim, or you can also walk on the treadmill. But you must do some aerobic activity in the morning,' he adds. Tired Of Waxing? Future Humans May Not Have Body Hair! List Of Body Parts That Are 'Disappearing'
Last Updated: Future humans could see a world without body hair, wisdom teeth and other quirky features as evolution gradually phases them out over thousands of years. If the thought of waxing your body hair makes you groan, there's good news for future generations. Humans may not need to worry about it at all. According to an Instagram Reel by content creator Sam Beres, several body parts are gradually disappearing from the human population, and humans may be next in line for some evolutionary surprises. 'Here are some body parts that are disappearing, so enjoy them while they last," Beres says, highlighting just how much our anatomy is changing over time. One of the most familiar examples is wisdom teeth. These third molars are vanishing worldwide, with 35% of people born today missing them entirely. 'This is because our jaws are becoming smaller due to changes in diet. Full disappearance will happen within 10 to 20,000 years," Beres says. Body hair, long considered essential for warmth and camouflage, is also slowly fading. 'We're expected to lose that in about 20,000 years," Beres notes, meaning future humans might be permanently smooth-skinned. Tiny toes are also shrinking with each generation, and male nipples, of which only 0.0001% can lactate. 'Both are expected to leave us in about 100,000 years," he says. Small, quirky features are disappearing too. Darwin's point, which is a little fold on the top of the ear found in about 10% of people, is likely to be gone in around 100,000 years. Meanwhile, the palmaris longus muscle in the forearm, once used for climbing trees, is missing in 65% of Indians today and absent in 15% of people globally, suggesting it may vanish soon. Here's the clip: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sam Beres (@sambucha) Evolution is relentless, and these changes remind us that our bodies are always adapting. While it might be sad to say goodbye to these features, the reel leaves one message clear, that is to enjoy them while they last. So, the next time you gripe about waxing or stubby little toes, remember that future humans may not have to deal with these at all. Ciara and Russell Wilson's son Future looks surprisingly mature standing beside Malik Nabers at Giants practice
Russell Wilson's oldest son Future surprises fans with grown-up look while hanging out with Malik Nabers (Russell Wilson/Instagram) Russell Wilson and Ciara's oldest son, Future, isn't the little boy fans remember from red carpets anymore. At just 11, the young star is growing up fast, turning heads with how much he's matured while continuing to share a close bond with his stepfather, Wilson. Recently, the trio—Russell, Future, and Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers—were seen together, and the moment left fans marveling at how seamlessly Future fits into his family's world of sports and stardom. Russell Wilson's son Future looks more mature than ever during hangout with Malik Nabers at Giants training Future Zahir Wilburn, whose biological father is rapper Future, has always been a part of the limelight thanks to his mom Ciara. From walking red carpets to joining Wilson at NFL events, the boy has been a constant presence in their lives. Now, as he stands nearly eye-to-eye with pro athletes, his transformation is striking. Wilson himself shared a candid photo on Instagram with Nabers and Future, captioned simply: 'My Homies. ' For Wilson, the moment was more than just a snapshot. The Super Bowl–winning quarterback, who is battling to prove he still has the edge to remain QB1 for the New York Giants, has always prioritized keeping Future close. Despite Giants fans showing curiosity about backup Jaxson Dart, Wilson continues to carry himself as a leader, both for his team and at home. His stepfather role has never been in question. Even after being booed during WWE SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium while attending with Future and his younger brother Win, he remained unfazed—choosing instead to celebrate family moments that matter most. As for Nabers, the rising Giants star has returned to practice after a minor back injury, eager to show why he was a top draft pick. The sight of him alongside Wilson and Future was symbolic: a merging of mentorship, youth, and legacy. Ciara and Russell Wilson on their kids Ciara and Wilson, married since 2016, are parents to four children: Sienna, 8, Win, 5, Amora, 1, and Future, 11. The singer often calls their household 'non-stop entertainment,' a reflection of the lively energy that comes with raising a big family. For Wilson, embracing a blended family has always been intentional. Speaking earlier this year on I AM ATHLETE, he described Future as 'a gift' and went on to say: 'When you're raising children … you've got to love every single child as if they're yours. God gave me that opportunity to raise them and love them and care for them … And there's no difference [between Future and his siblings].' That philosophy has made the Wilson household one of the most admired in sports and entertainment. Whether Wilson can silence his critics on the field remains uncertain, but off the field, his legacy as a father figure and devoted husband already shines brighter than any Super Bowl ring.
