BIS Bengaluru to host ‘Manak Manthan' on plywood standards today

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bengaluru, will conduct a brainstorming session titled Manak Manthan on Tuesday. The event will discuss Amendment No. 1 to the IS 303:2024 standard, which governs plywood for general purposes.
Scheduled between 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m., the session will be held at the BIS Conference Room, opposite Jalahalli Metro Station in the Peenya Industrial Area.

HTET Answer Key 2025 Out for all Levels at The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has released the provisional answer key for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 on its official website at Candidates who appeared for the HTET 2025 can now download the answer key for all three categories — Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Postgraduate Teacher (PGT) by visiting the official portal. In order to access the HTET 2025 answer key, candidates are required to go to the BSEH website and click on the link titled 'Download Answer Key HTET-2024 (Level I, II & III)' available on the homepage. Here's a step by step guide to check: Step 1: Visit the official website of the Board of School Education Haryana at Step 2: On the homepage, look for the link titled 'Answer Key HTET 2025 Level-1, Level 2, Level 3′ and then click on it. Step 3: Select the relevant level of the exam — Level 1 (PRT), Level 2 (PGT), or Level 3 (TGT). Step 4: The answer key PDF for the selected level will open on the screen. Step 5: Download the PDF and save it for reference. The Haryana TET 2025 exam was conducted on July 30 and 31 across three levels. Level 1 was conducted for candidates applying as Primary Teachers (PRT), Level 2 was for Postgraduate Teachers (PGT), and Level 3 was for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT). The Level 2 examination took place from 10 am to 12:30 pm, while Level 1 and Level 3 exams were conducted from 3 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates will also be given the chance to raise objections against the provisional answer key within the stipulated timeframe. All objections submitted will be reviewed by subject matter experts. The decision of the board after evaluating the objections will be considered final.

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Coimbatore branch office organised a 'Manak Manthan' programme on Wednesday on the draft of Indian Standard FAD 1 (28325) WC for neem-based pesticide. Over 176 stakeholders participated and gave their suggestions. G. Bhavani, branch head, highlighted the critical role of neem-based formulations in organic farming due to their natural origin, low toxicity, and effectiveness as broad-spectrum pest control agents. In another event, the BIS Coimbatore branch office conducted a two-day capsule course in Coimbatore on Quality Control Order for viscose staple spun yarn industry (IS 3566:2023). As many as 20 quality control personnel from different parts of the State took part.

BIS training for TNUHDB engineers gets under way

A two-day capacity building programme, organised by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Coimbatore Branch, for engineers of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) got under way in the city on July 29. This initiative is part of BIS's ongoing efforts to promote the implementation of Indian Standards across State government departments, with special focus on urban planning, construction, water systems, and sanitation. The programme aims at strengthening understanding of national standards and encourage their practical application for safe, sustainable, and high-quality infrastructure. Balamurugan, Superintendent Engineer, TNUHDB, inaugurated the programme. It was attended by 28 assistant engineers, assistant executive engineers, and junior engineers, according to a BIS release.
