Oregon's Jackson Shelstad announces future plans
There was little doubt this would be the case, but the Oregon Ducks men's basketball team can breathe easier now that it's official.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, point guard Jackson Shelstad has signed a deal to return to the Ducks for his junior year in the 2025-26 season.
With all of the departure news with Mookie Cook and Jadrian Tracey transferring and the likes of TJ Bamba, Brandon Angel, and Supreme Cook running out of eligibility, it's nice to have word that someone is returning to Eugene. Shelstad is expected to be the top point guard in the Big Ten Conference next season.
In this past year, Shelstad's numbers rose from his freshman season. He averaged nearly 14 points and three assists per game. With his return, the question is what kind of talent will be surrounding him. It's assumed center Nate Bittle will return after testing the NBA draft waters, but Oregon won't know that definitive answer for a few weeks.
Kwame Evans is also set to return to the Ducks and should be in a starting role. That's three really good pieces for the Ducks next season, and they should be contenders to make yet another NCAA tournament under coach Dana Altman.

Highly-touted TE Rahzario Edwards schedules trip to visit Oregon Ducks

Highly-touted TE Rahzario Edwards schedules trip to visit Oregon Ducks The Oregon Ducks hosted a long list of 5-star players over the weekend for official visits, with some of the top-ranked players in Eugene. Things aren't slowing down anytime soon, either, with another group of elite players flocking to Eugene this weekend for more official visits. Among them are guys like 5-star QB Ryder Lyons, CB Davon Benjamin, CB Elbert Hill, and OT Kelvin Obot. On Tuesday, it was also announced that 4-star TE Rahzario Edwards would be joining the mix as an official visitor as well. The 247Sports Composite rates Edwards as the No. 49 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 3 TE in the nation. He stands at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, and is also taking official visits to the UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, and Ole Miss Rebels. The Ducks already have the No. 1 TE in the nation committed with 5-star Kendre Harrison, but they would love to add another elite playmaker to the mix. They will have a chance to get into good standing with Edwards this weekend with an impressive visit. Pennsylvania 2026 star offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh has Notre Dame as a finalist

Pennsylvania 2026 star offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh has Notre Dame as a finalist Notre Dame is one of three finalists for four-star Class of 2026 product Grayson McKeogh, but the Fighting Irish will have a tough act to beat after the offensive tackle enjoyed his visit to Penn State. The 6-foot-7, 275-pounder from La Salle College (Glenside, PA) will visit Notre Dame June 13-15 before heading to Texas June 20-22. It's not very often Texas recruits a Pennsylvania product either, which speaks to how impressive the offensive lineman has been. It's been quite the rise for McKeogh, who had never played on the offensive line for the Explorers until head coach Brett Gordon took over the program before his junior season. Now, the former defensive end is one of the most desirable left tackles in the country and the seventh-best prospect in his state, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. His visit to State College reportedly went very well, so it's going to be difficult for the Fighting Irish to woo the star tackle, who could stay in-state and play for a strong Big Ten program. Additionally, Texas will get the chance to make one final impression. Can the Longhorns win this tight battle? McKeogh plans to make his decision July 1. MSU football predicted to land commitment from 3-star LB Charles Belser

MSU football predicted to land commitment from 3-star LB Charles Belser Michigan State football is trending for a three-star linebacker prospect from Philadelphia. Charles Belser of Philadelphia took an official visit this past weekend, and it apparently went so well that the Spartans are now the projected favorite to land his commitment. Michigan State picked up a 247Sports' crystal ball prediction in their favor for Belser on Tuesday morning. Belser is a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 64 linebacker and No. 807 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. Michigan State is one of nearly 15 schools to show interest in Belser by extending him an offer. Some of the other notable schools to offer Belser includes UCF, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Indiana, Pitt, Syracuse, UCLA and Duke. There is no known commitment date for Belser so we will need to keep our eyes peeled for any news surrounding his recruitment. I wouldn't be surprised if an announcement comes out shortly should he in fact elect to become a future Spartan.
