The football season is almost here, and it is time to begin planning for roadtrips to the Plains and beyond to watch the Auburn Tigers this fall.
Weeks after major networks revealed the start times for Auburn's first three games of the season, the SEC has now released the television windows for the remaining nine games on Auburn's schedule to better prepare fans for the season.
Auburn's start times are broken down into four categories: early (11 a.m. – noon CT), afternoon (2:30 – 3:30 p.m. CT), night (5 – 7 p.m. CT), and flex (2:30 – 3:30 p.m. CT or 5-7 p.m. CT). Several notable windows are its game with Georgia at home (night), Arkansas on the road (early), and the Iron Bowl against Alabama (flex).
Auburn's SEC opener at Oklahoma gets the flex treatment on Sept. 20, with the following week at Texas A&M beginning in the afternoon window at Kyle Field. The Tigers' home opener at Georgia will be under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium, with two of their next three games against Missouri and Kentucky being labeled as "flex." The game in-between the Missouri Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats at Arkansas will be an early kick. The next two games, against Vanderbilt in Nashville, and Mercer at home, will kick in the afternoon. Auburn vs. Vanderbilt will begin in the afternoon time frame while the game against Mercer will begin at 1 p.m. CT and will air on SEC Network.
Finally, the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium is flexed. However, as the trend has shown recently, fans can expect the game to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The time and date for Auburn's first three games were revealed last month. Auburn will begin the season in Waco, Texas on Friday, Aug. 29 against the Baylor Bears at 7 p.m. CT on FOX. The next two games, against Ball State and South Alabama, respectively, will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and 11:45 a.m. CT.

Redshirt sophomore Eugene Wilson III is a somewhat surprising addition to the Fourth Team from Steele. Wilson was among the better freshmen receivers two years ago, but injuries slowed him down and forced a redshirt last year. Steele is assuming a return to form from Wilson with DJ Lagway throwing the ball to him. Former Alabama track champion Eliud Kipsang dies after cardiac arrest aged 28
Former NCAA track star Eliud Kipsang, who earned several first-team All-America honors as a runner, has died aged 28, according to Alabama Athletics. Alabama Athletics released a statement Wednesday confirming that Kipsang had died on Tuesday evening. 'We are heartbroken by the passing of Eliud Kipsang, one of the most gifted athletes ever to wear crimson and white,' said Alabama Athletics' head coach Dan Waters. 'His impact on our program extended far beyond records and championships; he was a beloved teammate, a brother to so many and a dear friend to me, personally. 'On behalf of the entire Alabama family, we extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones. The running community has lost a remarkable soul.' The university statement did not provide details of how Kipsang had died but a GoFundMe page set up to cover his funeral costs says he suffered a cardiac arrest on Friday. The fundraising page says the 28-year-old was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA, where he spent the subsequent days in intensive care as doctors tried to save his life. Kipsang broke three school records during his successful time with the Crimson Tide, where he was also named the 2021 SEC Runner of the Year. The track star was born in Kenya before moving to Alabama for his first season in 2020, winning the SEC 1,500-meter title in his debut year. He then went on to win the individual SEC cross-country title. During the 2022 season, Kipsang broke the collegiate record in the outdoor 1,500m, clocking a time of 3:33.74 – the mark still remains in the top five in collegiate history. Kipsang still holds three Alabama Athletics records in the indoor mile, indoor distance medley relay and the outdoor 1,500m. He also has six times that are still in the top-10 of Alabama track and field history. In 2021, Kipsang also competed in the Kenya Olympic trials, before trialing for the World Championships the following year.

Former Georgia basketball star works out for Hawks ahead of NBA draft
Georgia Bulldogs freshman forward Asa Newell recently just finished working out for the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta holds the 13th pick in the 2025 NBA draft. Newell, an SEC All-Freshman Team selection, has been generating significant NBA draft interest. He has already worked out for the Portland Trail Blazers (holding the No. 11 pick) and the Chicago Bulls (No. 12 pick). On Monday, he completed a workout for a third lottery-bound franchise. Advertisement His outstanding freshman performance, which earned him conference-wide attention, saw him average 15.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting 54.3% from the field. Newell is the 15th player in program history to receive the SEC All-Freshman distinction, and notably, he was the only Bulldog recognized by the conference, as no other Georgia players were selected for any of the All-Conference or All-Defensive teams. In his sole season in Athens, Newell started all 33 games for the Bulldogs. He reached double-digit scoring in 30 of those contests, including six games with 20 points or more. He led the team in scoring 20 times and in rebounding 16 times, and tied Anthony Edwards' program record with four SEC Freshman of the Week honors. Newell helped Georgia return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2015. According to Lauren Williams of the AJC, the Hawks also worked out Alabama's Cliff Omoruyi, Florida's Will Richard and Michigan State's Jase Richardson.
