Rahi: Israeli Attacks Violate Ceasefire, Calls for State-Controlled Weapons
Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi announced after meeting with President of the Republic Joseph Aoun at the Baabda Palace that "we discussed general matters and did not address the Israeli attacks on some Lebanese towns," adding, "The Israeli attacks are violations of the ceasefire, Lebanon is committed to diplomatic efforts, and weapons must be in the hands of the state."
Rahi emphasized that "Qlayaat Airport is essential, as having two airports in Lebanon is important, especially for northern residents; multiple airports create job opportunities for Lebanese people, and reforms are a top priority for the president."

Rubio says US not involved in Israeli strikes against Iran

'We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region,' Rubio said in a statement. Trump had said that Israel would ruin chances for a peacefully negotiated solution, which he said was close. A sixth round of talks over Tehran's nuclear program had been scheduled between the United States and Iran on Sunday in Oman. 'Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense,' Rubio said, without offering support or criticism of the strikes by the close US ally. 'President Trump and the administration have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners,' he said.

Khamenei Swears Severe Revenge Against Israel
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to take vengeance against Israel after Iran was hit by strikes targeting its nuclear facilities and long-range missile capabilities Friday. 'The Zionist regime has committed a crime in our dear country today at dawn with its satanic, bloodstained hands,' Khamenei said on X, saying that Israel 'has revealed its malicious nature even more than before by targeting residential areas.'
