'Israel' launches 'most advanced' satellite from Florida by SpaceX

'Israel' has successfully launched its new national communications satellite, Dror-1, from Elon Musk's SpaceX launch facility at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The advanced satellite, developed by 'Israel' Aerospace Industries (IAI), lifted off aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket early Sunday morning, ensuring its communication needs are met for the next 15 years.
The Falcon 9 rocket launched from Space Launch Complex 40.
SpaceX, which designated the mission "Commercial GTO 1" – a naming convention not previously used by the company – successfully landed the Falcon 9's first-stage booster on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
Dror-1, weighing 4.5 tons and spanning 17.8 meters, is designed as the technological successor to 'Israel's' Amos satellite series.
It incorporates the largest transmission and reception antennas ever built in 'Israel' and is touted by IAI as one of the most advanced communication satellites globally, built almost entirely with "blue-and-white" ('Israeli'-made) technology.
In the coming days, Dror-1 will unfurl its solar panels and antennas before beginning a two-week process of maneuvering into its final geostationary orbit, approximately 36,000 kilometers above the equator.

Meet Ani: Elon Musk's new AI anime girl companion with an 'NSFW' mode

ALBAWABA - Tech billionaire and xAI CEO Elon Musk recently went viral on social media after revealing "Ani," Grok's new AI anime girl companion. Many took to social media, resembling Ani to Misaki, a character from the hit anime and manga, Death Note. Alongside Ani, a cartoonish red panda named 'Rudy' was also revealed as a Grok companion. By the time of reporting, the new companions are exclusive to SuperGrok users, which costs a hefty $30 monthly subscription. Musk described this release as a "soft launch," stating further that they are developing an easier method for users to interact with the companions, instead of enabling them via Grok's settings. According to Testing Catalog News on X (formerly known as Twitter), users interacting with Ani can toggle an 'NSFW' mode upon reaching level 3 with her. Additionally, social media users revealed that there's a mode of Ani wearing lingerie, and 'NSFW' clips of the anime AI companion are reportedly swarming X. Elon fans say that Ani resembles Misaki from Death Note, as both characters are very similar in appearance due to the blonde hair with pigtails and goth clothing. Grok hints at what's to come next for its companions Hints reveal that other AI companions are on the way, with a new character named "Chad" and an unknown girl in development. It seems xAI is working hand in hand with San Francisco-based Animation Inc. to produce the 3D models in question. However, it's still unclear whether xAI acquired the company or it's just a collaboration. Meet Ani & Bad RudyYour new AI friends 😬Grok's new 3D animated companions for SuperGrok subscribers. Musk says he does not support merger between Tesla and xAI

Ammon News - Elon Musk said on Monday he does not support a merger between his electric vehicle maker Tesla and his artificial intelligence startup xAI, which owns the Grok chatbot and competes with the likes of OpenAI's ChatGPT. In response to a user post on X that asked Tesla investors if they supported a merger between the two companies, Musk replied "No." On Sunday, Musk had said he would ask Tesla shareholders to vote whether Tesla can invest in xAI, after earlier saying "it would be great" if Tesla could do so. Tesla and xAI did not immediately respond to Reuters' requests for comment. xAI acquired X, formerly called Twitter and also owned by Musk, in a $33 billion deal in March this year, valuing the combined group at $80 billion at the time. Sources told Reuters in June that xAI had been in talks to raise money at a valuation of more than $120 billion, while a valuation of as high as $200 billion was also discussed.
