Customers can't wait to try the reusable film camera this summer to add 'a retro, nostalgic look to holiday snaps'
Aldi is stocking a reusable waterproof film camera that shoppers say they "need" for their summer holidays. The new £9.99 camera made a splash when it was showcased on social media. As per the product description, the camera is waterproof up to three metres, and it comes with a roll of 35mm colour film.
Aldi says: "It's ideal for capturing underwater adventures and recreating a retro, nostalgic look to holiday snaps for a picture-perfect summer." Praising the new product on TikTok, blogger Kieran Slade (@kjslade) wrote: "Run to Aldi because I've just found this waterproof film camera for only £9.99."

Kieran's caption said: "I've been wanting an affordable reusable film camera for a while just to mess around with and I've stumbled across this waterproof film camera in Aldi for only £9.99 so it went straight in my basket. I'm excited to use it for my next trip."

The post quickly gained attention, earning over 200,000 in less than 24 hours. One impressed shopper replied: "And you can reload the film! so when you finish you can put 35mm film back in it! I Grabbed one too." A second commented: "Get running."
Someone else said: "I am going to get it." A fan added: "WE NEED THIS FOR SUMMERRRRR," and a similar response read: "Omg we need it." Another keen shopper replied: "Omggg let's get this for my bday party."

Meanwhile, a travel lover said: "Nah I need that for holiday," and someone wrote: "Where was when I needed it 2 weeks ago when I was in Malta?" Elsewhere, a viewer asked: "Can we see some photos?"
However, the blogger couldn't help. "I haven't actually used the camera yet," Kieran explained. "Just got back from holiday as well so wish I discovered this beforehand."
The camera, which launched in stores on July 6, is one of Aldi Specialbuys, meaning that once they're gone, they're gone. It's part of the retailer's beach essentials range, which includes a blanket, lounger, beach shade, and changing robe.

Priced at £6.99, Aldi suggests the new Sand-Free Blanket will be a summer must-have for beachgoers. Aldi said: "Ensuring a relaxing, hassle-free beach experience, this essential item repels sand thanks to its micro hole technology that allows the grains to fall back through.
"Available in a choice of ocean blue or sunset orange, its lightweight and compact design makes it easy to pack in a beach bag, whilst its durable material and included pegs help withstand the unpredictable British weather."
There's also a £19.99 2-in-1 Beach Shade designed so "shoppers can choose to position it as parasol to offer shade from the rays or as a beach shelter, ideal for breezier days." Aldi added: "Coming equipped with eight pegs and two ropes for securing, it can comfortably fit two adults, while the sides are easily removed."

We Were Liars star gets candid about most difficult scene to shoot and it's not what you think

We Were Liars proved to be one of the most emotionally draining dramas of the year so far thanks to that final episode. WARNING: This article contains spoilers from We Were Liars. ‌ A We Were Liars star has opened up about which scene she had to take 'one for the team' during filming. ‌ Based on author E Lockhart's novel of the same name, Prime Video 's We Were Liars revolves around the lavish lifestyle of the Sinclair family who spend their summers on a private island. ‌ But one horrific incident leaves Cadence Sinclair (played by Emily Alyn Lind) with memory loss and no one willing to give her answers as to what happened to her last summer. TikTok users went into meltdown by the finale as it was revealed that Cadence's cousins and love interest Gat Patil (Shubham Maheshwari) had died in a fire that they started, leaving her traumatised. This may have been the most memorable moment of the Prime Video drama but Penny Sinclair star Caitlin Fitzgerald has another scene in mind when it comes to what was the most difficult to film. Opening up to Screen Time, Fitzgerald shared that it was actually a very low key scene which left her feeling 'sick' that proved the most challenging. 'I was really excited about the scene where I eat a lemon meringue pie, it was a fantasy really," she laughed. ‌ 'And by take four, I was like 'I'm really sick', so it turns out, this is a public service announcement, as I've sacrificed for everyone, and learned there is a limited number of lemon meringue pies which you can eat, it is too much. 'I think I ate like eight and was like 'oh'. I took one for the team on that one. 'I had to really go for it every time, I'm that committed to my craft.' ‌ As of yet, there has been no official confirmation if We Were Liars is going to return for a second season. There has been talk of work going on behind the scenes for another series which would be based on the prequel book Family of Liars, focussing on the three sisters, including Fitzgerald's Penny. When asked what fans could expect if the franchise was to return, Fitzgerald commented: 'More of the same, a further look into this highly dysfunctional family and peeling back another layer of the onion of why they are the way they are. 'More fun on Beechwood, more mysteries and a lot more of the sisters, for better or worse.'

BBC star could be first ginger Bond after ‘screen-testing for role'

An underdog in the race to cinch the role of James Bond has apparently already screen-tested for the role. Six years after Daniel Craig announced his retirement from the franchise, fans are wildly speculating who may take on the role of 007. Former favourite Idris Elba, 52, previously ruled himself out from playing the British spy, while other hotly tipped actors, including James Norton and Theo James, have not confirmed any involvement. The current front-runner to become Bond is Aaron Taylor-Johnson, while bookies have also given preferential odds to the likes of Henry Cavill, Jack Lowden, Tom Holland, and Callum Turner. But for the last couple of months, 37-year-old actor Scott Rose-Marsh, has been cropping up on betting sites, and new reports suggest he's taken one step further in the race. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the star screen-tested for the role sometime in late June. It was reported that he read sides from 1995's GoldenEye, presumably for director Denis Villeneuve, who became attached to the project in June. It was added that he was given just one piece of direction before testing: 'Don't impersonate a previous Bond.' The actor, who Betfred currently places in 12th place in the running with odds of 12/1, is a relative unknown compared to other candidates. He previously appeared in movies like Wolves of War and Code of Silence, but is otherwise a lesser-known film star. The announcement from Amazon MGM Studios that Denis Villeneuve will helm the next James Bond film is a dramatic move marking a creative shift for the 007 franchise, and signalling a new era for Britain's most iconic spy. The Canadian director, best known for directing Dune and Dune: Part Two, as well as Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, Sicario, and Prisoners, expressed reverence for the character. 'Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007,' he said in a statement released Wednesday. 'I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory.' While acknowledging the enormous expectations, Villeneuve said he intends to 'honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come.' He called the opportunity 'a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour.' The announcement comes during a period of major upheaval behind the scenes of the Bond universe. More Trending Amazon Studios officially purchased MGM for $8.45billion (£6.7billion) in 2022, with a new agreement over creative control meaning Bond — and whoever is next to play 007 – is entirely under the streamer's control. It is a landmark decision as family-run Eon Productions has brought Bond to the big screen since the franchise began. After decades of tight creative control, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson – heirs to the franchise through their father, original Bond producer Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli – have ceded key decision-making power to Amazon MGM Studios. Given all the changes in the franchise, it's perhaps not surprising if a relatively unknown actor like Scott Rose-Marsh takes on the role. Got a story?
